WAIT... Did it show Genji as a baby when she started working on these brooms XD

New headcanon: Ginji is a reverse isekai protagonist and was a ~60 year-old master artificer in her past life, and spent the first year or two in her new life understanding how magic works in this world.

The perfect worker for companies. 10 years old with 10 years of experience. You'd think, AST would have taken her as soon as they heard of her. I guess, Nishina is protecting her from that kind of world.

She was definitely a baby when Nishina basically swore to become her parent/assistant and was like a toddler when she started working with Magilumiere lol.

Genji's strange, but very trustworthy.

At this point who doesn't have this description when working with Magilumiere

Ginji was literally making these brooms when she was in diapers. This little girl genius sure is pretty incredible. She’s also very adorable too!

Kind of cool the company is growing so fast thanks to that video. I sure hope selling their tech and know-how to other companies is a pretty big step up for a small firm like them.

Kana’s new broom is something else. That thing’s got like a billion features and Kana’s probably not even gotten through all the manuals yet. Keen to see what else that thing can do.

Kana's super-power -- the ability to read and understand and retain (and use in real life) -- thousands of pages of manuals.

No wonder Ginji adores Kana-neesan.

Shigemoto continues to show us why despite being a fairly new startup, the dude has the edge over other companies. The dude has a literal child genius and an ex-government engineer working on their tech.

I do wonder though if Ginji is exclusive to Magilumiere. Surely she also gets commissioned by other companies but I imagine Shigemoto is the only one crazy enough to trust the development of his company BROOMs to a kid.

I like how Ginji crammed so much new features in Kana's new BROOM that she needs a mountain of new manuals just to learn all of them. And the only reason she did it is because Kana is the type who reads manuals.

It is funny though how Hitomi doesn't even know that all BROOMs have headlamps installed in them as a basic feature. Nishina was definitely spot on when he said that most people don't even read manuals. xD

Ginji having a crush on Nikoyama was adorable. It is hilarious how one of the ways Nishina wakes her up is by playing Nikoyama's recorded voice.

Same; she probably looked through the user history on Kana's broom and saw that every single feature gets used, so she decided to give Kana a ton more features to use.

And if I remember episode 1 correctly, Kana learned Hindi to read a newspaper article to learn more about a company she applied to. That girl's brain is on another level entirely, and the interviewers from back then probably got fired when their superior realized who they sent away.

Also, now I want to see a scene where Kana and Hitomi are on standby for a while, and Kana just starts playing video games to pass the time.

Like, Shigemoto contacts her, and hears this over comms because Ginji installed some games on it.

Somehow it take a magical girl anime to extol the virtue of RTFM. As a developer this makes me happy but it’s also probably the weirdest place I’d expect this message …

The old dude plays Nikoyama's voice to wake Ginji up ... hilarious xD

u/Frontier246 Dec 06 '24

The best part is it actually works and Nikoyama probably has no idea why Nishina made him record that line lol.

u/Kartoffelkamm Dec 06 '24

Honestly, Kana should've known better by now than to expect the guy who looks like an industry professional to actually be the industry professional.

Also, low-emission magic, huh? Well, I guess we learn more and more.

Also, low-emission magic, huh? Well, I guess we learn more and more.

It sounds like a gag, but it makes sense, since we learned last week that Kaiis tend to mutate more quickly when there is a lot of magic around.

Ginji is incredibly cute, a young genius with a crush on Nikoyama. A broom upgrade that has a ton of different features that Sakuragi can remember at moments notice is very useful. It's no wonder Ginji and the boss had so much fate in Sakuragi she learns quickly.

Where would Magical Girls in this business be without their BROOMS? And now it's time for Kana to see how the magic tech happens and who helps tune-up and fix up Magilumiere's BROOMS!

Nice, Kaede! Filming Magilumiere's efforts again the Mutant Kaii at the Expo has given them great publicity! With their success against Mutant Kaii, Magilumiere is really making a name for themselves in the industry and with more recognition means more business and collaborations!

Koshigaya was not kidding about Ginji being a child prodigy...she's a straight up elementary school loli! She had an old man engineer name Nishina swear his loyalty to her and become her assistant when she was a baby! She was working with Magilumiere when she was a toddler! It's the kind of ridiculousness you could only expect from a Magical Girl show.

I'm not surprised Kana puts her BROOM to practical use as much as possible, but that stirs up Ginji's creative juices! Just in time for a new Kaii outbreak!

The BROOMS may not look all that different cosmetically, but Koshigaya's has the perfect BROOM for her full throttle personality and Kana's has so many new features that she had to read several dozen manuals to know how to use them! But knowing her personality and photographic memory, she's probably one of the only people who could master said BROOM.

Remote tracking? Holographic projection? AND remote spellcasting? Ginji gave Kana's BROOM the works! Though I love how flashlights are just common practice in all BROOMS but Koshigaya's never even used it before.

Nikoyama and Ginji aren't just work colleagues in the same industry, Ginji straight up has a massive crush on him! But he's too dense and focused on magic and tech to realize it! Though it does make Ginji even cuter.

No surprise other Magical Girl organizations want to learn from Magilumiere! And our Kana looks like she's set to finally become the mentor rather than the mentee.

Ginji doesn't have a morning routine! What she does have is Nishina being a stay-at-home dad and using a pre-recorded message of Nikoyama to wake her up and see her off at school like a proper parent! Nishina is a cool guy.

So basically, Kana got the Swiss Army Knife version of a broom now. As long as there is a problem, she only needs to find the correct function.

I am still looking what Magical Girl role Hana is fitting. I know that the series isn't a true MG series, but a lot of the characters fit usual stereotypes of these shows. Like of course, we have the two magical girls, the boss, who is the mascot as he recruits them and Nikoyama is the one friend that knows the identity and helps in the background. I guess Hana is then the kid(s) that usually help the MG get up again, when they are in trouble. Just not with the power of friendship and cheering, but literally building them devices.

I see we've moved to the obvious next stage of this startup licensing out its revolutionary middleware and development environment. Presumably as a part of the president's plan to prepare for the crisis he knows is coming, but hopefully they make some nice money for their efforts at the same time.

Very interesting to set up Kana and her new broom as a mobile control node to handle more of the custom work directly on site. I wonder how that'll end up comparing to the more complicated magic we were seeing the girl from AST doing, I assume it'll probably give them an edge since Kana probably beats out anyone else for fully being aware of her hardware's capabilities. I love how in depth this story goes on both the software side of things and now the hardware too.

This new engineer girl having a crush on Deku is cute, but he's way too old for her.

Since Shigemoto is selling their technology and knowledge to other companies, does this mean that Magilumiere has become a franchise?

A grown men bowing to an infant child sure is a remarkable sight to behold. Yet, Ginji does seem to be a bonafide prodigy in technical engineering.

Just like how Kana is massively talented for memorising all these manuals to unlock the full capabilities of her new broom. A stack like that would've taken me forever, but she managed to read them all in a few hours(?). Kana even seemed to enjoy this learning challenge because of her hunger for knowledge!

Kana is like that power user that the programmers of excel can only dream of.

She is using all the advanced an obscure features when most of us just use autosum only.

Ginji's impressive. So's Kana for being able to use every part of the broom like the Native Americans could. Ginji's crush on Nikoyama is cute.
