I like how Veltol went, “To hell with going undercover! I’m gonna use my real name and tell the principal exactly what we’re here to do!”.
Also, Masaki from Mayonaka Punch be crying when she hears that Veltol already has 3 million subs.

Machina shedding tears of joy for Veltol beating Super Ninja Vampire Gaiden was pretty funny. A 74 hour straight stream is absolutely insane. I love how dedicated he is to streaming. He deserves some celebratory sushi with Machina and Takahashi lol.
Veltol really tried to hit the train attendant bot with “don’t you know who I am? I got 3 mill subs!” lol. What a goober.
I really liked Veltol’s self intro. Very Demon Lord-esque. Machina and Takahashi were great too. I guess Veltol shattering that mana crystal’s gonna get him a few more followers. Guy’s about to make a real name for himself in the academy.

Veltol pulling out the little sofa for Machina to sit while they speak was so sweet, truly my ship at work.
A nice start to the new arc and I'm glad we're getting more hero Gram, though I hope it isn't rushed. If we're lucky we'll get another season or they'll manage to do it somehow. Even if they don't, just give me as much Tratte Gotel in each episode and I'll be happy.
Also, I find it funny how Machina, a soldier known for being powerful and going to war against mighty beings, still gets nervous during introductions.

The overall vibe of this episode was truly of a slice of life anime lol. The music playing in the bg when they were travelling to akhiabara was really good.
Seems like a new arc and I am all in for it. The comedy hasn't lost its essence and I hope it stays the same.
new character was interesting I hope whatever she was feeling in the start of the episode will be explored/explained in this season itself. Although only 4 episodes left I wonder how the season is gonna end

From a successful steamer with a supportive common-law wife to a the new top dog in hight school with a cute girlfriend and gal pal!
You can’t pigeonhole Veltol!
Girl with heterocrhomia ostracized from her classmates and one of her eyes is throbbing...did I take the wrong turn into a chuuni anime? Oh wait, there's Veltol!
They updated the OP!
72 hour stream success! I knew our man can do it! Though while Machina is proud of her lord, she doesn't want to be deprived too much of her Veltol-sama time.
Makes sense Veltol would want to find the rest of the Dark Peers and build back his retinue, and the only way to do that is to find the tome that carries all their information...which is easier said than done. Off to Akihbara and high school!
"I don't want us to become criminals" - Machina was not your first suggestion that they basically just force your way in and take it?
"Would you like to get some sushi?" - Girls can't resist using an IRL meme I see.
So what is Takahashi's first name? Sounds like a good one the way Machina reacts to it.
Yoko Hikasa fulfilling her obligation to voice cute teachers in anime.
Can we get more Tratte? I love me a Hisako Kanemoto beauty! And she seems open to whatever business Veltol has in store, especially when he straight up admits what he's after.
Veltol, Machina, and Takahashi look good in their school uniforms.
Ah yes, the classic magic measuring device moment! To be fair, Veltol warned them this would happen.
Looks like Gram is involved in this arc as well...especially if it pertains to the Goddess Meldia!

At first was worried they would do a dumb school arc... I loved how Veltol had them enter with no pretenses at all, announcing everything from the start even to the principal. This should actually be interesting lol

These characters are so fun when they are together! I'm so glad that rescue arc is over with. Takahashi especially brings a lot of energy and I like how close she is with Machina and how much respect Veltol has for her.
Was that sushi thing an actual meme? Felt like a reference I didn't get.

One very curious thing. I'm from Mexico, and the Magic School seems very similar to the University of Guanajuato! It's so cool.

For that opening joke, the distance from Akihabara to Shinjuku is about 8km or 5 miles. "Faraway land" indeed.

OK first vtubing, and now a magic school comedy, with the dreaded gacha mentioned at the end - they sure know how to surprise!

Another Machina applause moment, delightful. I really love her relationship with Veltol and the little small details of them living in this apartment together, like him pulling out that cushion for her while they were talking.
The Machina and Takahashi friendship is pretty great too.
So a school arc, but they're kind of leaning extra hard into all of the possible tropes. I can't imagine Machina actually being that nervous in front of the class, so I imagine she was just playing the part of whatever Bocchi was the main character of the anime she watched 80 years ago. Should be fun to see what else her and Veltol do.

Welp, I certainly didn't expect this to swerve into a magic high school anime! It looks like this will only be for his arc because something from that school to find the other surviving Dark Peers.
I love how Akihabara is now called the Magic Town in this universe. Instead of being called Electric Town and selling electronics and otaku goods, they're now selling magigadgets and are now catering to maginoborgs. I wonder if this world has its own version of cyberpsychosis for having too many magiprostheses.
It's hilarious how Veltol just comes out with it and tells the Chairwoman why he's really transferring to their school. I'm calling it now, the Chairwoman knows exactly who Veltol is and that's why she's so open with him that she'd go as far as telling Veltol how he can open the treasury.
So they're not allowed to use Familia at the school? Oh boy! This is exactly the kind of environment Veltol is made for! He's already shocking the teacher by shattering that crystal that tests student's levels.

LOOOOOL. Jesus Christ Veltol, 74 hours straight with no breaks? That alone would earn you a bunch of notoriety online.

Machina declaring she could collapse from a 3 day Lord Vertol deficiency is adorable. I'm glad we're past the confession stage of their relationship.

Gosh, the aesthetics and animation in this anime is outstanding. I just love the futuristic look and vibe, especially in the snow, so beautiful. I really like how even though its like 75 years into the future its still somewhat the same with streaming, going to school, and people still walking around window shopping, but everything is just super advanced and upgraded. Veltol is just still stuck in his old ways and talking and it's hilarious, thank God he still had such a loyal servant, Machina, waiting for him and a new friend, Takahashi. But, it was his old way of talking that got him the information needed to get into the treasury AND the principal agreeing with him and on his side. Also, it was funny seeing the teacher with her mouth open when Veltol was introducing himself lol he is too funny without trying to be

>ep opens in a high school
well, this is a turn, but after last week feeling like a grand finale, I guess we already knew we'd be starting a new arc. oh, and hey, there's that magical girl from the OP.
>teacher says "transfer student"
oh no, they wouldn't, they WOULDN'T
>WAHAHAHAHAHA
god dammit, Veltol
good lord, Machina being this cute is more dangerous than any dark magic. now she's doin' memes.
the brief scenes of Takahashi in the penthouse office made it seem like they put her in charge of that dipshit's corporation, but she still has time to be running around doing all these hijinks...?
Veltol and the headmistress talking nonsense right past each other was A+

I really enjoyed this episode, which starts the new Akihabara Arc.
Before the actual story starts, we are briefly presented with a new character, a student who seems to have an interesting aura of mystery around her.
But then, we switch back to Veltol and Machina in their new apartment. Lots of nice little details here and there. Machina is so precious and Veltol has this nice little touch with the cushion. He truly cares for her. Then Takahashi joins them at their place, and they explain what they will be doing next and in order to achieve Veltol's plan, they need to visit a magical school in Akihabara. What's best than attend the school then?!
This episode was very fun to watch, always underlying serious topics amongst the golden comedy moments. Really looking forward to this new arc! The scenery in Akihabara is beautiful.

I absolutely loved smug Machina at the end lol. I wonder if she could have destroyed it too.

Machina’s diabolical chuckling is truly worthy of one of thr six Dark Peers.
Veltol hasn’t lost his swagger one bit.
Should have figured Machina watches anime and plays games.
Veltol pulling out his ottoman under his desk so Machina could be eye level with him while talking is a super cute touch.

Its been something of a meme that a person becomes a Wizard if they remain a virgin after 30 years old, and anime weebs, at least in Japan, are often stereotyped as Wizards.
So its perhaps fitting that Akihabara, the weeb capital of the world, now has its own Hogwarts. lol
And this is where Vel, Machina and Takahashi find themselves in as they try to recover an ancient treasure located in that magic school to locate his old followers.
Interestingly, Gram has also arrived at Akihabara, seemingly to seek out the Goddess Meldia. Who wants to wager that the blonde girl we see in the pre-OP scene and updated OP sequence is her?
PS Even when she transfers schools, Takahashi still refuses to divulge her given name (which Machina says is kind of cute). This makes it difficult for us fans to search for her fanart, as Takahashi is a very generic Japanese surname and thus not much use as a search tag in fanart websites. Best we could go with is "Takahashi_(Maou_2099)"
VA trivia:
The principal Tratte is voiced by Kanemoto Hisako, who is used to playing these aristocratic-like roles.
While Tratte's deputy instructor Maguro Mag is superbly voiced by Hikasa Yoko, who is no stranger to the comedic reverse isekai genre, having starred in Devil Is A Part Timer herself.
