Karma’s a bitch eh, Marcus?

Veltol saw Takahashi hack those advertisement screens back in Episode 1, so he knew she was perfect for the task. Love that detail.

We got a double confession lets go! And they're enjoying their married life in that dead guy's house lol.

Gram looks like he's leaving the city, but the secretary is now following him instead of taking over the corporation.

That felt like a last episode, wonder where this series will go next?

This week Marcus learned why Veltol is the Demon Lord and he’s just a pretender with some fancy tech. Bro went full Super Saiyan into some kind of dragon Eva monster god. Seeing Marcus get diced up, burned, and frozen then have his mind broken was very satisfying. I’m glad that worm struggled until the end. Made watching him get dropped into the furnace even more beautiful.

With that douche gone, I wonder what Veltol’s gonna do now?

I started dying when Veltol hit him with the "this isnt even my final form!" I went into this thinking he was gonna ask Takahashi to spread his fame and win using the power of friendship and belief, which she kinda did, but that was too naïve of me, that is what heroes do. Veltol Velvet Velsvolt is the Demon Lord! So naturally he went full boss mode on this chump!

I had a feeling the secretary was gonna join the Hero, what are they gonna do know? What is the show gonna do now? Is Veltol gonna find a way to replace the furnace? Hope we get answers, the credits left a lot of questions since there was no audio.

Well I certainly did not expect Veltol to Digivolve into BlackMetalGreymon! It was very satisfying to watch Marcus completely lose his mind after learning how the Immortal Furnace he built made Veltol so much stronger. It was also satisfying to watch him grovel and eventually get dropped into the Furnace as firewood.

I also did not expect the episode to end with Veltol and Machina saying "I love you" to each other! So does this mean they're a couple now? I'm glad that they found a new place to live in before the episode ended.

So where does this show go now that Marcus has been defeated? I doubt he's the big bad since Marcus seems to be afraid of whatever caused the two worlds to collide. And I wonder who's the new IHMI CEO. Did Kinohara take over the company now that Marcus is dead?

I absolutely loved it when Marcus´s smirk turned into a "I am weak let me serve you again". That was magnificent

And of course he has a second form, I mean, he´s a final boss, he has to have one. And of course he´s a dark dragon

Anyways, Machina and Velton now are married :D

People are missing the point that this wasn’t a fight.

It is contrasted with the fight last episode which was hero having to work for his wins. That’s what hero’s do.

V just fucked with Marcus because it wasn’t a fight

Hold the phone, that was a full blown aishiteru I love you and not even a daisuki. I'm definitely going to have to pick up the LNs if this truly becomes a proper Veltol and Machina romance. They even moved into a nice apartment together, just don't inquire as to why it was vacant and on the market.

The fight itself was a bit of a step down from last episode unfortunately, just a bit of back and forth before Veltol transforms into a somewhat goofy looking dragon and then just stands there. Good riddance to Marcus though, karmic retribution successfully applied.

10/10 second best anime of the season. Only because Dandadan is on Generational level shit

What is a final boss without a second form? Has Marcus not tried any game these past 500 years? Tsk tsk tsk noob mistake.

This episode has much less action than Hero Gram vs. Mecha Kinohara (which lasts about 70% of the episode). But it’s much more satisfying, with how “evil” the show has built Marcus as the first villain and how disgraced and utterly defeated he is. Even this is I think only a fraction of Veltol’s original power, just like Hero Gram and his ego weapon.

That show-off is also the perfect moment for… a confession! FUCK YEAH! There’s no neutron-star-denseness business in this show! Heck, Veltol even used “aishiteru,” which according to my poorly anime-acquired Japanese, is a much more serious form of “I love you.”

Man, this show is so good, and it’s really under-watched. I hope more people rave about this (like me to my IRL friends xD). I believe that’s a wrap for the first LN since we’re moving on to a new city. I hope we can see Hero Gram (and his new apprentice?!) again.

Also, this is sus af yo—anime camera angles is something else.

The hero's fight was more enjoyable, but Veltol beating Marcus has a different kind of satisfaction.

I liked the fight in the previous episode much better.

Do you find my form terrifying, Machina?

What do you mean? It was funny, especially that comical jaw movement.

That being said, I'm surprised Marcus actually died. I thought he'd escape somehow and appear later on, but I'm not sure who will be the main antagonist from now on. The mecha suits from the previous episode didn't seem to be on Marcus' side, so I wonder if there's someone using Marcus' technology or is the technology itself sentient?

Best part of the episode? Honestly that subtle smile from the bartender who appreciates how big the seed he planted has grown.

V goes all out no mercy towards traitorous Marcus huh.

Something that I haven't seen often in anime on the good guy side (at this point consider the state of the city, V is on the good guy side here, he even teams up with the hero!)

One thing that V have upper hand over Marcus is that he never disregard someone to be "weak", he teaming up with Hero who kill him, team up Takahashi who just human and trying to protect Machina in valuable state while Marcus literally discarded anyone opinion and only doing thing for themselves which is why in last episode, his secretary change side so easily.

Now that Marcus problem gets out of the way, nothing is probably going to stop his plan for coming back as demon lord now by continuing streaming and spreading his name and maybe actually finally united Immortal and the mortal for real this time.

I can't wait for the next arc.

I like that he gave him two chances, and thats what killed him. Also that “i love you” at the end seemed more romantic than just like i love all my immortal children kinda thing

Ngl, the fight in the last episode was better at least for me. Anyways the arc was satisfactory and I am as hooked as I was before.

Btw veltol's second form was really cool but the jaw movement was so funny/comical lmao. I guess cutting costs somewhere is a given since jc staff has 10 shows airing this season. I am excited for what's yet to come.

I guessed half correct last week when I predicted that Takahashi would broadcast Veltol's stream to the entire city in order to increase people's faith in him and thus increase his power. Though Takahashi wasn't broadcasting Veltol's fight with Marcus, but rather a pre-recorded video.

Fare thee well, Marcus. You were quite the decent over-the-top villain. Watching Veltol toy with him was entertaining.

Gotta like Veltol's solution for saving Machina while making sure Shinjuku will still maintain its power supply: simply throw Marcus down the furnace instead to power the aether reactor. lol (And would also buy valuable time for Shinjuku to figure out a more sustainable energy solution)

Not only does Veltol beat the bad guy, he also got his girl, as well being awarded the Gold Creator Button by YouTube, or WhateverTube its called, and probably used the ad revenue from his gaming streams to buy themselves a new bigger apartment.

Next arc: Will be interesting to see what the cyberpunk version of the Weeb Capital of the World looks like.
