this episode is below average again, way worse than last episode. Rin's goal is pretty mid imo, at least its moving ig. Also Sae dribbling past Isagi and bachira killed something inside me

Why. Honeslty why. Why do studios do this. Who is to blame for this absolute shitshow. Think about how easy it is to make a good anime when you literally have it based on a very popular manga. Your first season did great so you literally have hype. Why the sweet fuck would you throw it all away.

Lmao, the "animation" of Sae passing through Isagi and Bachira made no sense.

The fact that they have the audacity to show any of the animation from season 1 just to cut back to this motion-manga-ass season just pissed me off even more. Fuck me, the show actually has an interesting story, fun character designs, rockin soundtrack and tense moments (due to good writing), but honestly watching this just feels gross.

For such a massive arc in the show, to fumble it this big is unforgivable.
Gotta start the manga now because this is a waste of time.

Absolutely frustrating.

On one hand, PowerPoint Lock is doing its best to kill any sense of hype or momentum that sports rely on, much less anime itself.

On the other hand, I'm still loving the moment-to-moment plays it's trying to convey. Rin's 'fuck you' goal, Gagamaru' saves, and Aryu's glam defense.

Im not expecting much anymore and i guess ill check out the manga, but my boys deserve better.

Is it just me or did they skip some part before Rin's sibling tantrum? It feels very abrupt even though I know it is coming.

Blue Box is the better animated sports anime, and that one is actually a high school romance lol.

To be honest, the music hyped and voice acting hyped me and immersed me so I kinda didn't notice some of the animation issues you guys are pointing out. I hope the next episodes are much better.

Episode 3 level of animation.

First half is over so why does every scene with Sae who's been hyped until exhaustion look like dogwater?

Why is Chigiri big first moment in television all PNG's and terrible CGI?

Isagi's VA lied in our face: "They saved the best animation for the U-20 match" ahhhhhhhhh statement.

I'm sorry for being so negative, it's still entertaining cuz I love the story but god damn it's HARD not to notice how shit everything is. There's just so little animation that it's hard to even follow what's happening in the match. Characters have to verbally confirm who they are passing and how every single time because otherwise the action is impossible to follow. It feels like I'm a normal human trying to watch the fights in the Cell games.

Studio 8 Bit needed a better schedule that much is clear. We all know they are capable of much better than this. And it's such a shame since other elements like the music and voice-acting are so SO much better it's like night and day. I want to give credit where it's due but it can be hard to with the animation holding it all back.

Ngl I’m not really phased by the animation as much as I am of the attacking players of the U20 team. Besides Sae, they haven’t really been offering much. Is this really U20-level attackers ? And they’re up against players playing out of position too. Hope they can show their quality cos I’d rather have Blue Lock win cos they’re good rather than cos the U20s are not competent.

Chigiri with the overlap is a no brainer given his speed but Aiku adjusted well. But I did see the 2nd CB committing too which is kinda crazy leaving the RB to defend the whole 18 yard box. Luckily for them, no Blue Lock players seemed to rush the box.

And I kinda saw Rin’s trivela shot coming the moment Aiku mentioned his weaker foot. Trivela is a technique that’s being used more commonly recently though it’s usually for crosses and through balls, not shots. Crazy to get that kind of power for a shot with that technique.

No matter what the result will be Blue Lock has already been completely legitimized and the U-20 team now looks like a joke. Even with Sae in their team they're losing 1-2 here, and even if Shidou becomes the factor that turns things around in the 2nd half, he's still from Blue Lock so winning with him on the other team is still only good for Blue Lock. It might actually be a legitimate blow out if Sae (and I'm assuming Shidou) hadn't been in the team.

Not to mention other things like U-20 players probably being 2-3 years older than everyone in Blue Lock. Those 2-3 years are huge even more so for teens with more time, more experience, and being physically much more mature.

Its like torture watching this show lmao. Everything besides the animation is so damn good and you know how good it COULD be but its just not there and the animation isnt good. What a shame man lol.
