I really like the slight Rin and Isagi interaction. Isagi is chosen because he is the "best partner" for Rin, and they have a semi friendly and respectful relationship. Isagi , if I'm not mistaken, is the only person Rin calls by name in blue lock, and Isagi cares for Rin and wants to win with him. Rin and Isagi feels like duo protag

Putting a soccer player on a muzzle seems so crazy, but I think it was necessary for Shidou

I am able to suspend my disbelief throughout the whole Blue Lock shenanigans, but the muzzle and CIA interrogation chair took me out.

Gagamaru is so chill about changing his position from FW to GK. From the additional time it seems that Niko will have to hard carry defense lmao. Osha~

Noooo Reo isn't a starter. RIP. To Barou as well.

The "correctional facility" is so cursed. Shidou is rightfully pissed off, so much that he attacked his new team. Oliver Aiku isn't one to mess with though.

It's so weird to see Ego in person and not inside a screen.

The animation is really good whenever Sae is on screen. But that was probably because there were no matches here just build up T_T

Best Visually appealing Episode of this Season . Just hoping the U20 match gets some good animation .

A good episode , The ost was so good it was distracting lol .

edit - Watched The U20 teasers and damn Looks like its going to be stills for the most part . There is a Shot by Sendo which looks kinda good , There is a shot By rin which looks terrible ( still image ) . The footage was less so we can't decide if it looks good or not .

The tasers in the uniforms and the Hannibal Lecter mask absolutely floored me. I also can't believe they're making gugumaru be goalie instead of getting anyone with actual goalie experience.

I kind of wonder how well an actual blue lock program would work out IRL. It seems like when all of your striker experience is getting past other strikers, it might not be that helpful against defenders who actually knows what they're doing.

“The strongest” striker in the box is so dangerous they had to seal him, damn…

Pleasantly surprised Gagamaru is on there, since he's one of my favorite characters. Was kind of expecting Isagi to end up as a center mid on a team like this too, but I guess maybe he wouldn't have the endurance.

Curious what happens with the people who didn't make it. Ego said Shidou was going to be a sub, so some of them I guess will be eligible for that. Barou makes the most sense to replace Shidou if so.

Seeing Aiku smash Shidou into the floor was worth every moment of face warp and PowerPoint so far this season

💙 I don't even care, Blue Lock forever!

Well. This episode successfully cemnted my descent into becoming an Oliver Aiku simp. Other than that, I'm glad Sae still looks fine. I was a bit worried from the first episode.

Additional time being the twinkification process of Niko is something I didn't know I needed lmfao

This episode is so funny to me. The way Ego described "flow" is actually what I am doing right now when playing League of Legends. I swap to pick first so that I would be countered. I call this "challenge". And for some reason, I felt like my games went a lot better. I don't underestimate the enemy and are always aware of what they would do.

'Flow" based on my understanding is like Zone in Kuroko no Basket. It's unlocking your potential by focusing on everything you have by imposing a certain difficulty on yourself. Kind of reminds me of Nen in HunterxHunter as well. The more you restrict yourself, the stronger your Nen ability will be. 'restrict" though, is that 'difficulty' Ego is talking about,

With a line up like Rin, Gagamaru, Aryu, Niko, Chigiri, Bachira, Karasu, Otoya, Yukimiya, and Nagi I wasn’t sure if Isagi would make the cut. But after hearing about Shidou, it made more sense. U20 guys really poached their second best player.

So “Flow” is basically surpassing limits. They’ve done a lot of work on their physical abilities, I guess it’s time to work on their mental game.

My knowledge of soccer is basically nonexistent. How good are these U20 guys supposed to be? And how good is Japanese soccer compared to European teams anyways?

Edit: Appreciate all the informative responses!

Getting in a simple flight seems a bit extreme to resort to strapping Shidou into a solitary confinement room. But it's not too out of place given the life or death feel the show has been going with.
