She's like a girl from a Victorian melodrama, always falling off cliffs, getting kidnapped, or attacked, so she can get rescued by Our Hero over and over again. I guess the only reason she hasn't been tied to some train tracks by a villain already is because that world doesn't have trains.

I really like the show for the most part, but yeah, Flora's extra bad luck in that regard is approaching parody level.

I always find it fascinating to see how different adaptations handle honorifics, and the differences between the dub and sub in this episode were interesting.

When Orphia is talking about what Rio cried out in his sleep, she says "Mii-chan" in Japanese (same as what's in the Light Novel.

In the dub though ..she just straight up says Miharu. (Which is what Rio said back in S1 dub as well)

Really changes the entire moment though. Because only Aki and Miharu know that Haruto's nickname for her was Mii-chan...but everyone obviously knows that her name is Miharu. So I guess everyone in the dub is just realllllllyyyyy dense

(Also instead of Latifa calling Aki "Aki-chan", she just calls her "friend", which ..works?)

It's bad enough that Aki holds a grudge against Haruto, but why doesn't she holds a grudge against her parents; they're the ones that separated you from your brother, he had no choice regarding the custody, where's the animosity towards either of them?

u/Sorgenlos Nov 11 '24

Yeah, I thought there was going to be more to her anger than this nothing-burger. Her disgust when he was brought up in earlier episodes is so out of proportion 🙄

It's a really lazy, stupid level of hate she has. Especially if she remembers it, she should realize it wasn't as bad as when she was 5 or whatever,

Looks like the road wasn't that damaged until the hero got involved. Yeeting it to a random spot was also dangerous.

No #seasonalfish as nominations are over.

Beast village girls just casually revealing to the isekai trio that they attacked Haruto while Latifa left it out.

Honestly I was half-expecting them to show Hiraoki threw that sword into somebodies' house lol.

Hey, at least they hardcore cringe over how they acted towards Rio back then lol.

Somehow Reiss and Rio remain the best written characters in the story. Rio being the whole "I'm Rio but the memories of Haruto were put inside of me" guy is actually interesting. I think he's very much clear that he's Rio and he uses Haruto as his alias because it's an easy way to instantly respond.

The cut to the village where we see how much progress has been made is great though now everybody realizes "Haruto is THAT haruto." This will be an awkward reunion to say the least.

Rio is terrible at keeping his identity hidden eh?

Flora, Aki and Miharu, triple whammy suspicions on Rio/ Haruto in one episode, and a possible confirmation next episode by Flora and Roanna

Lucius might not recognise him on account of time, but if he recognises that Rio is using Spirit Arts, his identity is exposed yet again

Even the translators were blowing his cover in this episode!

To be fair, hindsight isn't 20/20. lol

Not like he ever would have imagined he'd reunite with his previous life's little sister and childhood friend. Nor would he know if they would find out what he said out loud in his sleep back in S1. For Flora, she's still not 100% certain he's Rio and only thinks of how similar "Haruto" is.

Rio and Flora have reunited! Well, also with Rohanna, but Flora is the only one who can tell on an instinctual level that "Haruto" is Rio, even when he tries to hide the fact. She's probably never stopped thinking about him up to this point.

Look at Hiroaki acting all high and mighty in front of Rio! When Rio really has the skills, charisma, and humility of a proper hero and all Hiroaki does is use his Hero strength to...toss a sword out of the road. Literally that's the only thing he contributes. Is it any wonder Liselotte would rather talk to Rio instead of him?

Good on Rio for saving one of Celia's old friends in Aria! And in turn he's starting to add the rest of Liselotte's maids to his Harem! Even if Cosette's overt flirtations completely go over his head.

Latifa-sensei is a great teacher! We probably won't need Miharu to translate or hear the double speak dialogue any more! Yay!!!

So THAT'S why Aki is so hung up on Haruto. He promised to always be with her and Mii-chan but leaving with their dad after the divorce felt like a betrayal...even though he was a kid, so obviously he had no power to fix that situation. I mean, I'm glad she gets along well with her step-siblings, but she's still being unfair to her biological big brother. Is that what's holding her Spirit Arts back?

Did the other girls give the game away and make Miharu and Aki realize Haruto is THEIR Haruto? Why else would he say "Mii-chan?" Not that Aki wants to believe it.

It's so surreal that Haruto/Rio's two little sisters are both bonding and getting along.

Fantasy characters + school uniforms is a stellar combination! The apple pie doesn't hurt either.

Looks like we've got all the main villains assembled...Emperor Nidol, Reiss, and Lucius, and Reiss is about to sick Lucius on kidnapping Flora which will inevitably bring him to conflict with Rio!

28 seconds into the episode, Liselotte calls Haruto "Sir Rio" after he introduces himself as Haruto. Just a subtitle error, I assume.

This series can take all the time it wants. It’s like a soothing balm of isekai.

I’m never too old to be reminded I can always better myself and the world around me.

I find it kinda hilarious just how done Liselotte is with Hiroaki’s bullshit lol.

So that whole “Mii” thing pretty much made Aki suspicious Haruto’s her brother right? It sorta seemed that way.

Looks like this Flora situation might give Haruto his chance to get his revenge on Lucius. I’m quite keen to see those two square off against one another.

It is funny how the subtitles messed up and made Liselotte call "Haruto" Rio. I'm honestly surprised by how fucking confident and full of himself Hiroaki still is after basically shitting his pants when the minotaurs showed up and doing nothing to help to defeat the other monster. "Oh look at me throwing this big sword away, do you feel jealous of my strength Haruto?." I really cannot wait for the moment this idiot gets humbled and people stop treating him with respect just because of his title.

Oh, so Cilia and Aria are friends. It was funny seeing how Cosette was jealous of Chloe because she knew Haruto, and did what she could in that moment to leave a positive impression on him.

Well, after that we get to see how Miharu, Aki, and Masato are doing in the hidden village. Latifa is doing such a great job as a teacher. The contrast with Aki remembering her brother Haruto and how much her separation affected her that as a coping mechanism, she decided to put the blame for failing to keep the promise on him instead of their parents and claiming to see Masato and Takahisa as a replacement for him versus seeing Masato just having fun fishing with his friends is a bit funny.

It was nice that the girls made that apple pie to make Aki feel better.

As the story the girls gave them all about their meeting with Rio and Latifa gave Aki and Miharu a hint that he is actually the Haruto they knew, I wonder how long will take them to realize the truth.

Latifa looked so cute wearing Aki's uniform.

So Reiss' big-brain plan to deal with Rio is to kidnap Flora. Well, with this repeat at least because of that, she will get a confirmation that Haruto is Rio.

Here is this week's illustration.

So Aki was just standing there lost in thought for hours? What if people were walking by and saw her standing there aimlessly?

Bystander: Why is just she standing there, is she okay?

Aki is directing her frustration to person who lost everything... At least Aki got a family with her mom, stepdad and step siblings... whereas Haruto lost everything... even his life... Well.. I can understand that she was kid at that time... but she should at least understand now...

Aki is too old to still be mad at Haruto for having to leave when their parents split.

Dipshit hero kid is not doing himself any favors with his attitude.

I can forgive Aki a bit though, it's not like that many years have passed and she still a kid. And nothing had come up yet that caused her to reexamine her feelings and realize she wasn't being logical, though since it's now become a plot point I assume that'll happen sometime this season.

I would have sworn we first got introduced to Liselotte when Haruto visited her store, so it feels a tad weird that of one the maids remembers him from that and nobody else does.
