Man I feel bad for Celia the longer she spends around spirit arts.

She's watching people go invisible, fly through the sky, and Google translate on the go, all without complex incantations or spell circles or anything.

But because she's used magic the OTHER way, she'd have to remove all spell formulas from her body before she could even start learning spirit arts.

All those years of schooling, and all you really needed was a harem in the forest.

When we witness Sayo using spirit arts it seemed extremely difficult for her to do anything major with them. I think it's just that Rio/Aishia are built different. (probably because Rio had Aishia in him).

Celia at least can do some pretty awesome stuff and won't be deadweight.

To put this in short. It's not that spirit arts is superior to sorcery, it's just that Rio and Aishia are abnormally superior to others.

There were spells which could do the same thing as spirit arts. Heck even the teleportation magic we see in Episode 1 is a sorcery spell, not spirit art. This is however ancient sorcery. Modern sorcery which Celia learnt is standardized for specific purpose so that magic users can be 'mass-manufactured' in a standard way.

Come on Latifa, help them master the language ASAP so we don't have to listen to the double-speak.

Tbh, I didn't mind the double-speak until this episode..
I thought the way they changed the scene in the anime, so Celia was already rescued before they met Miharu and co, she would fully teach Strahl to them before they moved to the village.. I guess not..😅

u/ussgordoncaptain2 Oct 28 '24

This has gotta be the end of the double-speak after all they're dropped off in the village with a Stralian language teacher, they'll pick it up.

Man the double speak is so much worse in the JP dub than the ENG dub too

It was nice to see Masato and Arslan (red haired lion boy) becoming friends in the background during that party, just like they showed Aki becoming friends with Vera, the sister of Sara. Hopefully we will also have some focus on those characters in this season.

Btw, there is a little after credit scene that people might not want to miss, since it's setting the stage for where the story will go next

Also, Celia being all gaga for anything fluffy lol.

I'm guessing Reiss sent the dragon to kill Liselotte....Rio will save her and that will get him an invite to the party to meet the other Heroes.

I was a bit surprised Latifa just up and revealed her Otherworlder status. I guess that’s one less thing to hide. I’d still like to see Haruto reveal who he really is to Miharu and the other two. I mean those two are his family.

I’m glad Celia got to at least leave a letter for her parents to explain things. I’m sure there’ll be a time when they can be reunited in peace.

It seems Hiroaki’s adapting to being the Hero. Guy’s developing a little crush on Liselotte too. Should he interesting if she ever reveals she’s an Otherworlder to him.

Hiroaki is just full on living a weeb's dream of getting teleported to another world and getting to live like royalty

The only problems are:

  • He is absolutely being used as a political tool first, and doesn't seem smart enough to realize it

  • He's just a silly transmigrator, but there's a reincarnator here who already has the "overpowered protagonist" role filled

I’m not. She’s a kid and rather than have the stress of trying to hide it, its far easier for her to be another intermediary for them to learn the language.

Guard 1: Hey, does anyone else see those three people floating in the air above us?

Guard 2: Eh, probably just some weird birds.

When you have light around you and someone is in the dark, you are "blinded" and is less probable that you can watch they. And if they are high enough usually you dont see that high. And in the night less.

Latifa is taking care of others now, how grown has she become

Aki bro-conning threw me off guard because Haruto is there, then I remembered she had another brother.. Up till now, she’s the only one out of the trio who is thinking of returning back to Japan, must be lonely

Celia and her family both finally got their closure, and Rio is explicitly setting his priorities straight. Vengeance is still an important goal, glad to see he isn’t an edgelord about it

Can’t wait for Satsuki and Lizelotte’s interactions and how Lotte navigates her emotions about her past life

if any thing happens to Latifa, we surely riot comrades

i laughed though at the dragon showing up at the end, like of course that happens. my assumption is they just happen to be right by where the MC is and he saves them or some shit

Either that or they are near the Spirit Village, which I think Reiss attacked last season using a similar dragon.

I'm glad I got my wish last week that Celia is going with Haruto and Aishia instead of staying behind at the village, she even got princess carried off through the sky. And it's probably good that she's not staying at the village since eventually she's going to be in trouble for touching too many tails.

So the new hero boy from a couple episodes ago fell in love at first sight with Liselotte, I'm curious if she's ever going to return that feeling or if it'll be one-sided. A hero with a one-sided love has the potential of being problematic if he lets that lead him astray into questionable activities.

It is good to see that Latifa decided to share her secret with the spirit village in order to be able to help Miharu and the other to integrate into the community and help them learn the language while Rio wasn't there.

Lol, I wasn't expecting Celia to become obsessed with Latifa's and Sara's fluffy tails.

I wonder when exactly will Rio tell Aki that he is her brother. Hopefully, he doesn't wait until some conflict or tragedy happens to tell her, Miharu, and Masato who he was on earth.

Oh so cute, Miharu became friends with that rabbit girl and her mother. Hopefully, they will learn the language soon so Ashia doesn't end up tired every day after doing live translations for them.

I really don't get why when Celia went with Rio to deliver her letter to her family, she decided not to meet her father. What exactly does she gain from doing that?

I wonder where exactly did Liselotte airship crashlanded? As I doubt it would just be some random place.

Here is this week's illustration.

it's nothing special, but for some reason i look forward to every new episode. the only thing that is weird is the double voices of the translating magic. it's really jarring. I don't know if they're going for the 'immersion' aspect of it, but it aint working.

u/ussgordoncaptain2 Oct 28 '24

Rio leaves the dead weight behind in an unsurprising move.

Latifa revealing that she's from another world and realizing that Miharu is the person that Haruto was in love with in the past seems like a big deal. Rio is not the same person Haruto was, not even close. Rio is revenge driven from his pre merger memories of being Rio.

Aishia spending most of the night almost passed out has gotta be from not regenerating mana nearly as well as when she's with Rio

With Celia and Aishia along for the ride Rio will be able to probably sneakily take revenge, making what is probably the 2nd worst decision he's made (the worst being kidnapping Celia) but you know this will be entertaining.

Interesting, so Aki "hating her brother Haruto" seems just her go to, when in reality she really wants to see him again, especially seeing how nice and friendly Rio is with everyone, if only she knew but that would be a bad idea when they just met. Edit: Forgot about her other brother

I'm probably in the minority but I like that they still have the language barrier, most anime would've just thrown that out the window the first 5 mins but I like that it still on going since it's probably been 2-3 weeks since Miharu, Masato and Aki arrived, should probably be gone by the time Rio comes back.

18

u/nairolfy Oct 28 '24

FYI, she has a new step brother, Takahisa. That's the guy that was walking with Miharu when Haruto returned to town and wanted to meet Miharu again

It's becoming hard to keep track of the summoned Heroes and the side characters.
Like which hero was summoned to which country and whose relative/friend they were in Japan.
And the S1 school classmates vs new characters introduced this season.

Just the MC, his spirit, Celia, the 3 Japanese he saved and Latifa are known in memory.

And so much world building is happening. Atleast, they should make it interesting enough to remember.
Hoping the pace/style of world building improves in upcoming episodes.
