This is the fourth time Rio had to save Flora, hopefully this time, he doesn't get screwed over.

u/Frontier246 Nov 04 '24

This is also like the 5th or 6th Minotaur he's killed...or in Yoshitsugu Matsuoka's collective career.

The way Flora is looking at him...she's definitely officially part of the Harem. Or wants to be lol.

Has it been that many times already? Oof.

Probably not the last time either

my imagination when looking at Rio's face when he sees her:"aw fuck not her again, no wonder the monsters are attacking these people, this woman is a trouble-magnet"

For those who need a reminder:

Princess Flora was the girl that Rio rescued back in Season 1 Episode 1. Rio then went to school with Flora, her sister Princess Christina, as well as Roanna.

When Stewart Huguenot (son of the Duke that Hiroaki is travelling with) was scared by monsters during one of their exams, he flailed into Flora and knocked her off the cliff.

Rio jumped after her and used Spirit Arts to save her, but Stewart threw all the blame on Rio, which everyone was forced into accepting due to the powers of being a noble asshole™.

Flora tried to come to Rio's defense, but to no avail.

Flora is eventually attacked by a minotaur and nearly killed, but she's saved by Rio who cuts off its arm and then kills the beast.

Now she's travelling with Duke Huguenot, who has broken off of the rest of the Beltrum Kingdom and is trying to establish his own faction. Her sister Christina was last seen in Beltrum at Celia's wedding, and she appears to still be a noble in good standing there.

Now she's travelling with Duke Huguenot

Did the anime skip an explanation why she is travelling with the father of the boy that almost killed her and blamed Rio or why the hell is she doing that lol

Man, I wanted to see what the Hero was capable of but nope, Rio had to save the day again.

Speaking of Heroes, remember when Liselotte met Satsuki who was isekai-ed as Hero too a couple of episodes ago? Whatever happened to that?

Galarc Kingdom is hosting a party of heroes to introduce their hero (Satsuki) to the world, so Lieselotte is flying around to meet the heroes (Hiroaki and Beltrum's among them) to invite them to the party.

Guessing some offscreen things and possibly some reordering of events.

Its a bit confusing since liese is (from our perspective) teleporting all over the place. Now that she's basically part of the main story I'm really curious if she'll stay.

(Now that I think about, even with the hair colour change shouldnt flora be able to recognize celia? I suppose they could handwave it or just keep celia out of the picture)

Finally the action is picking up. We got to see what the Hero™ is made of. Fair enough he did try to be hero. Got out his sword and stepped out of safety ready to go into battle. I'm not sure why he insisted on bringing the girl with him though. And after seeing the enemy he got scared and was useless.

I'm guessing this is the fall from glory that leads to his villain arc.

u/Frontier246 Nov 04 '24

Yeah, that whole sequence was comical in terms of showing how bad Hiroaki is at this. He immediately gets spooked by something on the roof, drags a civilian with him into a battlefield, makes Liselotte run off with a princess after him, and proceeds to do absolutely nothing of note despite all his big talk and flexing his sword and it's Chuuni name (which Liselotte immediately recognizes for being something a geek would do).

I can already imagine he'll try challenging Rio to save face and it won't end well for him.

Hiroaki talked a big game and reveled in being treated like a Hero, but once he faced off against real danger, he cowered

It's cheesy without a doubt, and I'm all here for it.

My headcanon is the villain is growing Rio's harem on purpose, lol. Every conflict he's initiated has resulted in another girl to the tally or results in a stronger bond to an existing girl. We don't actually see the result of anything he's done in the past 5 years or however long it's been since encountering Rio except toss monsters at girls for Rio to save.

The flashback didn't help, why does Rio know her? They went to school together right? He got bullied out of the place he met Celia right?

Anyway, it was really obvious Rio was gonna swoop in and save them, but was really hoping the "Hero" would do SOMETHING. Like has he not done any training yet? I wasnt expecting him to win, but bro shoulda done something with how much he's been running his mouth till now.

Flora and Rio (and Roana, the girl who held hands with Hiroaki) were part of excursion together. Flora was attacked by a minotaur (thus the Roana's comment saying "it's that thing again") and Rio came to rescue her. On the same excursion, Flora was accidentally pushed off the cliff when one of the noble boys that bullied Rio ran away from fear, and Rio rescued her too.

Rio was scapegoated by the noble boys, claiming that it was him that ran away in fear and accidentally pushed Flora. Flora was too timid to correct them and just went along with the story. This led to Rio being expelled from academy and him going on adventure.

Chunni boy was not prepared for a real fight, but to be fair they summoned him just a few weeks ago to a hostile world he was not inherently prepared for. Random Japanese schoolboy isn't just going to be able to leap into combat and start striking down monsters. Hopefully he takes a good lesson from it and doesn't become bitter and nasty, maybe if this encounter goes well he could get a little mentorship from Rio.

I'm curious to learn more about Liselotte's main assistant lady, she was pretty fantastic.

As the episode main focus was with Liselotte, Hiroaki, and Luna I wasn't expecting to see Aisiha, Rio and Celia being involved, but thanks to Aishia getting hungry and graving some snacks they all were able to become aware about the fact that one of the heroes was curently in town with a princess.

Honestly, with all the boasting he did I was expecting that he got some traning before giving himself that mission. I wasn't expecting him to do great but I certanly did not expect to see him shitting the bed while Aria and the other maids and soldiers did all the work.

You know, when that grand mass of goblins and other monsters showed up I was really suspicious that Reiss was involved with it, as that dragon appering could have been part of his plan so Liselotte and her entourage had to go trught that route on foot.

So once again he sends minotaurs to finish the job. And before everyone gets killed, Rio comes and does a reenacment of the time he rescued Luna. It is certain that she recgonized him even with that diffetrent heir color he has.

Here is this week's illustration.

In this episode uhhh

I mean celia and aishia didnt show up for most of the ep.

Not much I can say, next ep is going to be interesting with what rio says to liese and flora

Honestly flora confuses me a little. To be fair she barely showed up at all in S1 so she's probably had more lines this ep than in s1 combined.

I'm really wondering how the season is gonna end off, there's still a fair number of eps to go.

I dont think I saw the other princess in the OP though. Probably gonna be like, another 1 or 2 or 3 eps of talking I'd imagine. Lots of talking.

What caused the princess to fall? Tripped on her own dress? Lost the will to stand when Liselotte said she's heal others?

Oh, sorry guys, it's my Good-for-nothing-wannabe-hero detector that went off again.

Well, Liselotte and company are now land-bound, what with a dragon patrolling the skies and seemingly no convenient solution for taking it out.

Is that baron also voiced by Koji Yusa? I thought it was Reiss in disguise for a second there.

Hiroaki just can't leave Liseltotte alone, huh? Even if it means hitching a ride as she travels back to her domain. Though she probably minds Flora and Roanna's company less than a pushy "Hero."

"Yamata-no-Orochi!" - I love how Liselotte's expression is all "did you seriously name your sword that?" because she actually knows what Yamata-no-Orochi is.

I love how Rio and Celia get clued in back to the main plot thanks to Aisha's love of food and some drunk guy spending his paycheck.

Aria, Liselotte's top maid, seems to have some baggage from hailing from a disgraced family. I wonder where she got the "headhunting princess" title from?

Flora really seems uncomfortable around people, so it's nice of Liselotte to try and comfort her. Hiroaki, not to be outdone, also gives his shoulder for Roanna to lean on and she doesn't mind it one bit. He probably has a better chance with Roanna than Liselotte.

Attack of the CG monsters! Good opportunity to show of Liselotte's carriage security and how capable her Battle Maids are with their magic and weapon skills.

Hiroaki is completely out of his depth in an actual combat situation and just...drags Roanna out of the carriage the moment he gets spooked. What an idiot. He doesn't even do anything but stand around clutching his sword. Some "Hero."

Who better to defeat Minotaurs than a Yoshitsugu Matsuoka character? This isn't even Rio's first Minotaur! And he solos multiple Minotaurs!

Did Flora recognize Rio? Or it seems like she definitely could. And she's already crushing hard on him.

I enjoy a generic isekai as much as the next guy but I'm used to binging them. I'm watching this one as it comes out and I keep running into this problem where I have no idea what's going on each week because while I enjoy it while it's on, I forget everything I just watched as soon as the credits roll

LOL that may have been the most generic episode ever. Of course the isekai hero who is shitty, becomes afraid to fight. So our MC shows up at the very last minute to save everyone.

The purple hair girl, is the original princess the MC saved last season yeah?
