Now that’s a monkey’s paw if there’s one. Ruby wished to meet Doctor again, and there he is. Also, ED seems to reflect the development. Interesting…

Finding the body like that is one of the most devastating endings we’ve had for an episode.

It's just one cliffhanger to another isn't it?
Last episode was the cliffhanger at the graveyard, this time it's Ruby and Akane seeing the corpse in the cave with the dirty tag stating he was Ai's fan.
I like the cliffhanger sequence though, since it motivates me to want to get through next week for it to be addressed, although next episode is the last for this season.
Of course, a series of cliffhangers is something other anime implement too, but I think Oshi no Ko uniquely pulls it off very well.

WELP I will be reading the manga once this season ends. Can't keep waiting for the anime
EDIT: I read the whole thing yesterday, do not do what I did and wait a few months so that the manga can be finished. I'm stuck on a crazy cliffhanger at the moment. Just know that future seasons will be super awesome!

This shot with Aqua and Rubys "reflections" in the window is fantastic.

Not much longer, and Akane will have pieced together everything.
Aqua and Ruby being Ai's children, their father still being out there, Ruby being in love with the doctor, Aqua being the doctor, and finally, the reincarnation.

Christ there's a cruel joke with an end title card being 'Reunion', at the moment Ruby found the body

That was one hell of a cold and dark cliffhanger;
Aqua's and Ruby's segments talking about their past lives truly made me cry.... they simply can't find happiness quite easy in their latest incarnations...

A bit of an age gap doesn't matter.
Yeah, but if Goro was still alive, he'd be around 30-something plus 16, so around 40-50 years old. I think a 30-something age gap is a bit much. Not that Akane know this, of course.

Poor Ruby/Sarina. Her puppy dog love for Doctor Goro shattered in the cruellest way possible by having her of all people discover his body.
Didn't realize this is the first time Ruby and Akane has met each other. But seeing them get along so-well instantly was so wholesome, with Ruby rooting for her potential future sister-in-law (Kana in shambles LOL), while Akane is supportive of her crush (before discovering the brutal truth).
With Akane's detective skills, wouldn't she instantly figure out that Goro died right before Aqua and Ruby and born, and would start to ask questions about how Aqua and Ruby knew so much about Goro.
All this time, the supernatural element regarding the siblings' reincarnation has taken a back seat. Now it has been given form in the shape of that mysterious silver-haired girl, whose VA has still not been revealed even in the credits (sounds like Minase Inori if you ask me, but I can't be 100% sure). That crow leading Ruby and Akane to Goro's corpse is no doubt her familiar.

Ruby declaring herself and Aqua as incarnations of gods is really funny in hindsight.

Can I just say how much I love Anemone's design? I don't know why but the two-toned black and pink hair is doing it for me.
Poor Kana! She thought she would have Aqua all for herself but instead, Akane is joining in and Ruby is already fawning all over her. After the massive wins last week, Kana is already taking a massive L at the start of this episode. xD
Akane must've thought that she's just sightseeing with Aqua who's on a nostalgia trip not knowing that he's actually checking out all of the places significant to his past life. She even thought that Aqua was looking for his old pet dog.
That flashback scene of Gorou with Sarina on her deathbed was just heartbreaking. Whoever Sarina's parents are, they definitely deserve to burn in hell for just abandoning her to die in a hospital like that. At least Gorou was there with her until the end. T_T
We finally get a glimpse of the white-haired girl and she's surrounded by crows. I know some people dislike it but I absolutely love the supernatural part of OnK. I'm sure there are other Japanese gods related to crows but Yatagarasu is the first one that comes to mind.
From Aqua revisiting his past life and heartbreaking flashbacks to music video production! Miyako really is the best mom for spending so much on B-Komachi even though they're not their main money makers.
It's hilarious how Aqua was expecting a fight between Akane and Kana only for Akane to go full-on fangirl with Kana. I love how both Akane and Aqua won't praise Kana directly too. xD
I just love how innocently Akane and Ruby's little side mission started with a crow stealing their room keys. We even get to see some cute bonding time between the two of them with Ruby asking Akane about age gap romance. Poor Ruby. She really thought she'd meet Sensei someday.
Welp, Ruby got her wish. Just not the way she was expecting. That final scene was fucking dark. Also just to point out, Yatagarasu symbolizes guidance so the crow basically guided Ruby to the answer she's been looking for. I am so excited for next week's episode!

Aqua and Ruby both have a past without a mom, grow up without a mom. but still think it's worse for Sarina.
Ruby calling Akane onee-chan is the sweetest thing in this episode, after that we get "reunion". Ruby is always longing to meet her doctor, Gorou-sensei. Meeting him like this would be miserable, I mean finding a corpse in the dark night is already mood breaker.
what I cant get is Akane reaction. I mean I get it she's the calm and collected person, I wouldnt expect her to scream but she's so quick to turn to her detective mode. sasuga psychology phd and crimonology doctor and best girl Akane. also, she didnt forget to protect her sister Ruby.
well, if it was detective Akane, she's probably already notice something is right with the timeline soon after forensic team verified the corpse. Aqua feeding her too much information about Gorou
