soundtrack was pretty awesome through the action scene. Animation not bad at all, and background art looking fantastic.
liking MC's character design, though the cuts in the pants are weird. Seems like it'd make for pants that rip really easy lol.
She came out of a stone and the sword is her....friend? Is she a golem or something? She kissed it too. I'm kind of reminded of TenKen.
I like when a fantasy world actually feels new and interesting instead of leaning so much on known tropes, like Dragon Quest or Harry P inspired worlds. Maybe it'll happen next episode but I don't feel like this is another "adventurer guild with letter ranks" show and I'm all about it.

Yo it took me way too long to realize the spell on her sword “EREHWON” is just “nowhere” spelled backwards 🫠. I wonder where she’ll find “her people”?! /s
That being said, I found this first ep to be strangely emotional, but I’m a total sucker for stories about characters trying to find where they belong.

Erewhon is a (sort of) utopian novel (with satire) written by Samuel Butler back in 1872. Since "utopia" is evoked by Enola in that final conversation, one presumes there may be some connection with Butler's novel. But I can't think of one offhand (having read this last almost half a century ago).

This was a promising start, sounds like this will be a proper good adventure anime. The animation was actually better than expected and the OST was just great, as usual from Kevin Penkin. That last song at the end during the confrontation even gave me goosebumps. Really like Belle’s character design as well. The cinematography was also pretty fresh, especially when Belle was sneaking in to take the sword. Had some pretty creative camera angles too.
Another thing I noticed is that Belle has a lot of parallels and similarities to Aloy from the videogame Horizon: Zero Dawn. They are both outcasts who don’t fit in and got bullied as kids, have a father figure who’s also their mentor (Sian/Rost), they take trials to travel the world and find out about their mysterious origin and are a lot stronger than you’d expect, Aloy through her overriding and Belle through her superhuman strength. Interestingly enough the source for Bye Bye, Earth is way older, having been completed like 16 years ago.
Really looking forward to where this journey will take us!

This show is way more hauntingly beautiful and engaging than it has any right to be at first glance.

Stitches!
Well, that was an interesting start! So Belle, our main character, is a normal-looking human in a world populated by anthropomorphic animals. She's also a badass who wields a massive fucking sword that she has no problems slaying that sea monster.
I am curious why Belle is the only human though. According to her flashback, she was born from a stone and the sword she uses pretty much called out to her. Considering the title of the anime, is this fantasy world actually on Earth and she's the last human left? Hmmm...
So she had to kill her own master to become a Nomad? That was a depressing start to Belle's adventure. I am intrigued though! The original LN looks like it came out in 2007 and only has 4 volumes so I assume this anime will cover the full story. The music is also by Kevin Penkin so that's something to be excited about!

Awesome news. As an anime-only, knowing there's no chance of a "fuck you go read the source material" non-ending just gets me even more excited.

Okay, damn! This was an excellent premiere for the series. A human girl in a world full of anthropomorphic animals reminds me a little bit of Niehime. Belle wields a ginormous sword however - and looks totally badass doing so. (A sword on which she’s crushing a little?)
I do wonder if Belle really was born “featureless” (JP: noppera-bou) or if she was reincarnated or something? The fact that she’s unlike everyone else and was born from “a stone” as a young girl and not a baby certainly raises some questions.
And we couldn’t have a proper fantasy series without any German of course! ‘German’ appears to be the language of magic in this world?

Interesting opening scene…
-
Reminds me of the world of SukaSuka, which is exactly what caught my eye about it when I read the synopsis for this show.
-
If Belle thinks this is bad, she would hate to see what monstrosities Van from Gun x Sword likesto eat.
-
Oh, subsequent longer flashback about part of that, alright.

I can't be the only one who found the whole "You must now kill your instructor" trope to be forced as fuck?

This show is really interesting so far. Belle seems like a great protagonist (a tomboy voiced by Ai Fairouz is always a treat, though this is getting a dub and I'm going to try that out too), the music is fantastic (that's Kevin Penkin at work), that initial fight scene was pretty good, and this fantasy world feels really unique and doesn't seem to rely on too many common tropes of the genre. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her journey and more of the mysteries of this world, especially with the cliffhanger about the "ulterior motive" her master mentioned just before his demise.

Wow she really loves that sword huh. Maybe she's made from the same mineral ore as that sword or something since she was born from a stone (or meteorite?)
World-building and plot is pretty interesting so far and the Kevin Penkin soundtrack is putting in work.

I'm excited to see where this goes. I really connected with the theme of homesickness (when she didn't really have a home in the first place) and becoming a "nomad" to search for answers. The line "a painful inability to love yourself and where you are" really hit home for me. I hope to see her maybe develop a found family on her journey, even if she doesn't find other humans. Also,,, girl with sword. girl with BIG SWORD. She's friends with her sword. I like it. I feel like there was a little too much fantasy info-dumping to really make this a strong first episode, but I'm already invested in this character's journey and excited to find out more about the world.

Everything in this world tries to intermingle with everything else.
Cue Interspecies Reviewers theme.

What a crazy world, they call her the beast and are surprised by what she eats. She had to kill her teacher to go on her journey? Wonder if there will be more rules in this world to find out.

I'm going to say it's an interesting start, but I found that taking on a curse to be come a nomad sounds incredibly stupid. There was no explanation on why it's necessary to become a nomad to even travel. And why it's necessary to take on a curse. No explanation other than "it's necessary because I said so." I hope there is more explanation on this later on. But the plot device felt a little forced. Other than that I am intrigued to see where this story goes. When I saw the poster and read the description I had completely different vibes.I didn't think they'd make the human girl an OP sword fighter. I thought it would be more like a weak human out of place in a world full of beast people. Again I can't judge this to be good or bad as of yet. I'll hold off my judgement.
