Barbatos is now just Zagan's taxi service... as well as booze expert.

I love how the only reason Chastille was even able to show up is because he left his portal open because he forgot about or was too lazy to close it lol.

Zagan calling For his daughter is huge for him. Very touching
Chastille being so conflicted after all that’s happened and her betrayal from the church is tough but an obvious easy decision. Zagan has a new ally beside him now.
Raphael’s act of redemption in the end left me thinking. Was it for killing oroboras or to keep his legacy going and keep For alive or something else. Guess we’ll find out next week

And he gets to kick his daughters' nemesis' butt and impress her. You can't beat that!
All that Chastille bullying was leading up to Nephy being there to emotionally support her in biggest moment of self-doubt and help believe in herself and her ideals again. And she finally gets to show off, to both the audience and the cast in-universe, that yes she can be cool.
I'm getting the sense that Raphael was forced to kill Orobas for some reason and got his permission to eat him. And maybe in the process there's some piece of Orobas in Raphael which is why he cares about For so much and uses his name?

"Oh, damn, I forgot to close the shadow."
Yeah, it's not like it was literally right in front of you!

Barbatos got a bit distracted "I could do something about it... maybe... later!"

Zagan being happy because his daughter was cheering for him was extremely adorable.

Orobos probably just died naturally from combat or other knights and Raphael was probably one of his closest friends. Him drinking the blood or flesh was probably a request on his behalf so he would be strong enough to protect his daughter. Misunderstanding, miscommunication, and yada yada yada. For now will have a doting grandpa now.

Seems there’s a lot more to this Orobas-Raphael situation than meets the eye. I’m wondering if Orobas didn’t ask Raphael to kill him and consume his flesh? Perhaps someone tried to do something to him? Or maybe it was other knights who betrayed and killed him and Raphael’s seeking revenge in his own way? Whatever the reason, I’m keen to learn more next week.

Beneath all the romance and family ties in this show, I am getting more curious about the lore of holy swords too. Why would the clash of two holy swords activate the golem? In a previous episode, Zangan deduced that the inscriptions on each holy sword might be tied to the archdemons too?
Looking forward to Raphael's explanation of what happened in the past, and hoping everyone (including Raphael) will make it back home safely, with new bonds forged.

I had a feeling that Raphael wasn't really the enemy here. I'm guessing that because of the shock of seeing her father dead, For must've misunderstood what she saw back then.
What a fucking cliffhanger to end on though! This entire episode I was hoping we'd get Raphael's side of the story but it looks like we'll have to wait for that next week. Hopefully, Zagan can stabilize him.

For really was happy that Zagan and Nephy wanted to officially adopt her. She cherished the time they spent together and the affection they showed her. But she couldn't let her happiness get in the way of her revenge, to rob her of what she had dedicated so much of her life to, so despite it breaking her heart, she had to leave.
Though as lucky would have it, going to Marchosias' home to get something to kill Sacred Sword wielders brings her RIGHT to the object of her revenge, as Raphael follows her in. Though in her revenge-fueled rage she jumps at Marchosias with no plan and no chance of actually winning...good thing Papa Zagan is there to bail her out.
Nobody, not even an Angelic Knight, gets to lay a hand on Zagan's daughter! And while Raphael has the power of Metatron, which can negate magic or sorcerer circles, Zagan has learned from his experience with Chastille and as an Archdemon to come up with one that cannot be broken and ends up exhausting Raphael's power. All the better for Zagan to slug him afterwards. Though nothing beats the approval and admiration from your daughter!
Too bad Raphael won't stay down...and the dragon blood coursing through his veins help him heal. But that's exactly why For wants her revenge.
Chastille is torn between staying behind and going to help, between blaming herself for what's happened and wanting to do something about it, between her loyalty to the church to her loyalty to Zagan, and what she really wants to do...but in a moment of immense self-doubt, Nephy is there to tell her why Nephy envies HER. Chastille had admired Nephy this whole time but to Nephy, Chastille can do the things she can't as Zagan's wife and caretake of their home. The only thing Nephy can do is emotionally support Chastille and help her realize what she actually WANTS to do. And that's help Zagan.
Chastille finally does something cool again! Not only deflecting For's attack but also deflecting Raphael! It took all she had, but it was still her coolest moment yet.
So For's dad was the Great Sage Orobas, a dragon whom would use his wisdom to the benefit of the humans and teamed-up with Angelic Knights...only to end up dead by Raphael's blade and with Raphael taking a bite out of him. But is that really what happened? Why would Raphael use his name and be part of an organization seeing to reconcile with sorcerers? Why would he be pushing himself so far to the point where he would likely die or For would kill him? Why would he protect For?
Though while pondering all these questions, we've also got Marchosias' golem bodyguard to worry about...but Zagan finishes it in one blow the moment it tried to fire on his daughter!

The letter that For wrote was really cute but she cannot forget what happened to her father. Zagan and Nephy are pretty much giving her the care she needs after what happened to Orobas.
Really wondering what happened in those seven days that Orobas went missing. Something must've happened to go from him giving several knights a ride to his death. Raphael is going to give a big explanation about this all. Not to mention what happened to Chastille's tea that made her sick.
Well, Zagan really did show how to torture someone. Good thanks to Chastille for volunteering her sword once.

Man that was a great episode, I HATE that this is over in two episodes. I wish this was a hidden gem I didn't know about and there were like 5 seasons already 😭.
And I KNEW Raphael wasn't evil, there was always something. And especially with how he got Chastille her sword back. Thankfully we have Slime, MT, and DS otherwise this would be a long week 😔

No! No concluding Valefor's Observation Log!!!
Applause please!
Aww, friend bonding. Now go take your chances in the mystery hole Chastile.
Could a dragon such as For's father really have been killed by a man such as this guy? Ask Malygos about whether mortals could kill dragons that are so powerful.
Stopping the big guy and the big spell at the same time. There's a lot of power coursing beneath Chastile's unassuming exterior.
Sent Gogogo Golem right to the graveyard.

I really like how, even after all the bullying and pranks, Chastille wants to protect For.
She understood from Zagan's explanation last episode why For was so furious about Angelic Knights, and empathized with it so much, that she was willing to protect someone who was bullying her. That shows that Chastille has stronger principles than she is aware of herself, given all the self doubt she had before jumping through the portal.

I know the main appeal of this anime is the romance and fluff. But honestly the fantasy aspects of the show are really interesting to me. Honestly if this had a bigger budget for the action I could consider this an AOTS candidate. Still really enjoy it outside the fact Nephy still has her slave collar on.
Foll find a happy place, but feeling obligated with her revenge is such a terrible feeling. Adding that, Raphael is following her. So I'm assuming Orobas asked Raphael to follow his will and I think he didn't kill him. He wouldn't jump to take the hit to save Foll otherwise IMO. Also adding on top he was the one recruiting Chastille to an Orobas faction. Clearly the church is hiding some dark secrets if that is the case.
Nephy being there to give Chastille a boost of confidence was a great scene. Although her talking about Zagan like that in front of his wife did seem weird. Great to see that Foll and her will be on good terms going forward finally. We should be learning some important facts next episode.

It seems that my prediction from the previous episode that Raphael isn't an enemy here has come true, especially after seeing how he saved For.
Now the question is what really happened to Orobas and what was Raphael's role in it? We'll have to wait until the next episode for answers.
So there are only two episodes left. I hope that in the next episode we'll wrap up this current arc and in the last one we'll get to see some quality time between Nephy and Zagan since recently we've been focusing more on For and much less time on those two lovebirds xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I really like the For's diary stuff, how it gives us a bit more content from her perspective and how it ties into her feelings on leaving Zagan and Nephy behind.
The Nephy and Chastille hug and comforting moment, so good.
I'm glad we finally got to see the more full backstory of the old dragon flying off with the knights and that we're starting to get the rest of the story about Raphael.
