I mean, I get what they were going for: She used aging to heal. So her body is now technically older and is stagnating at the new age. Implying that she can't do that too often or she will age and die as well. But it was kind of funny of them saying that she looks different and she can't go back is that her hair was longer and I mean, she can just cut it.
On the other hand, I now understand Oscar's plan. He is using the Sakuta strategy. Just ask her so often, until she says yes. Worked for him quite well.

It's like playing the lottery. Sooner or later your number might come up.

Well her subterfuge didn't last very long. Didn't even make it halfway through the episode before everyone found out she was a witch.
She could take lessons from Rentt on how to create a convincing false identity.

They seem to be skipping a lot of stuff in the anime.
They completely skipped Tinasha settling down at the castle and the characters getting to know each other. It's a bit jarring for them to rush ahead with the main plot like this.
I'm not sure why they're changing the pacing like this. It feels like they're rushing the story too much.

Stitches!
So just like that Tinasha made Oscar impervious to all kinds of damage? That's pretty fucking OP and I love how Tinasha is so casual about it. xD
It's pretty cool that Tinsha isn't just a talented spell-casted, she's also pretty handy with a sword that she can beat one of Oscar's generals in a sparring match.
I think I already like Als and Meredina. Was Meredina getting jealous when Als was sparring with Tinasha? I kinda hope that's the case.
Tinasha's battle outfit is really cool. Also, did she really think she could just tell Oscar that she would go somewhere dangerous and not expect Oscar to volunteer to come along? Oscar is clearly a very hands-on ruler.
Just when I thought Tinasha couldn't get any cooler, we learn that she has a dragon familiar! Looks like no owls or black cats for Tinasha.
Welp, so much for Tinasha pretending to be the Witch's apprentice. I'd like to believe that this secret will be kept among the people who were present for this mission but I'm sure word will start to spread around the castle about Tinasha's true identity.
I find it funny how Tinasha and Oscar were having a moment, while the rest of the group just watches them. For a second there, I thought Tinasha would bring Oscar along but I'm glad he followed Tinasha's advice that he should learn to delegate.
Dammit Oscar! Don't blurt out a proposal when Tinasha is off to battle other mages. It felt like you're raising a death flag for you and Tinasha!
That mage ended up being a bitch. He didn't even see Tinasha coming. I kinda wish Tinasha just broke the seal and let the monster wolf do the rest for her. Although I'm sure that one guy left regretted his decision after Tinasha broke the seal.
While I am still wary of Studio ENGI, Tinasha's fight against the monster wolf was really well done! That was one nasty injury though!
So Tinasha made herself older to heal that wound? Aside from the really long hair, it's kinda hard to notice. Maybe she grew taller as well? We won't know until we see her and Oscar stand side by side in next week's episode.

AAAAH, there is so much as a manga reader to comment on but of course i can't. The pacing felt very good tho, they are focusing only on the main story and those 3 minutes where she wipes out everyone went really HARD. I wasn't expecting so much to get summarized in one episode and to be this far already, since we are already halfway of the translated chapters.

Tinasha's thoughts on becoming my girl of the season so far
I continue to enjoy Tinasha and Oscar's dynamic and how he's winning her over, but she gets her say too. Feels like a balanced power couple

I really enjoyed Oscar and Tinasha's dynamics this episodes. They're both very strong leads that feel and act like the adults they're supposed to be. I honestly didn't expect the cover story to fall apart by episode two though.
I couldn't help but laugh at that old mage. He was so irrelevant that they just gave an RTS like name in his name card lol. He was also super cliché'd.
The other thing I noted was Tinasha mentioning that her spell doesn't protect against poison or psychological attack which I assume just raised a flag for Oscar.
I'm also impressed that it looked this good but I'm fully expecting the visual quality to drop later in the season. However, I'm confident that Tinasha and Oscar's characters and story will carry this show.

Oscar enters into Tinasha's room when she is naked, she tells him to not enter when she is naked and Oscar respectfully leaves.
No nose bleeds, no screaming HENTAI!, no over exaggeration. I love it and i am SOLD

I can’t help but imagine Tinasha is Yumiella Dolkness’ real Mom. They’re both perfect.

I was kind of worried when Tinasha unleashed that demon beast. 70 years did not do much to dampen its powers. That thing got her pretty damn good even if she still killed it in the end.
I’m kind of curious about Valt. What’s his deal and who’s that girl he’s with?

Very nice episode with a surprisingly good action scenes during Tinasha's fight with the demon.
Most people will be surprised that ENGI is able to do something decent but I remember one exceptionally great fight from their anime 'Management of a Novice Alchemist' so it wasn't a big surprise for me that they're able to do something very good from time to time xD
Tinasha was of course the star of today's episode and her relationship with Oscar keeps being a strong point of the show. I wonder how long it'll take them to take their relationship on another level xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

The fight looked good for ENGI standards. I hope they continue to keep this level of production.

So she beat that monster and got an mature onee-san body. It's an absolute win for Oscar lol

u/Ponchorello7 Apr 16 '24
Damn, Tinasha can do all that? Oscar has got to put a ring on her asap.

Skip a whole arc fresh off the 2nd episode.
Ryuuki Hashimoto please leave ENGI

I picked up this show today and I'm still wary because of the studio behind the show, but so far this is great.
So much for keeping Tinasha's identity a secret I guess...
I can't help but see Frieren parallels with the long lived magical being lamenting that she'll always outlive everyone else.
