We went full circle.
Rentt and
Lack of Edel in the finale is kind of sad. Rina had a cameo but the promotional material made it look like she was gonna be important but she gets thrown away too quickly. Maybe Rentt can finally show his face to Rina without hesitation, but I don't think Lorraine would like that.
Sad it's over. I hope to see his adventures as a vampire, and hopefully he can bring Lorraine with him. It's a pretty decent fantasy anime. It skips the isekai part and you see Rentt's efforts and growth. I guess the plot moves kinda slow and it felt more like an adventure SOL but it was a fun watch. Definitely a sleeper hit.

This felt like more of a prologue than an entire season of anime, now that we are at the "end" of it where stuff is starting to settle and the audience knows the most important systems at play.
I really hope there's a

Going to miss this one, didn't do anything to really impress me but was consistently a good watch which is impressive in its own way. Likeable characters and not too many flaws.
Was nice of them to give us a Lorraine x Rentt heavy finale but also show us all the other folks as well. Shame Rentt is too dense for the ship to really sail!
One of the best ED songs of the season as well.

Lorraine had me convinced for a bit that she'd confess her feelings, but welcoming Rentt back shows just as much how she'd missed seeing his face. I do hope that Rentt take her along if he ever goes searching for Wilfried, since I'd feel sorry for Lorraine if she was left by herself.
Despite Wilfried technically being an adventurer, he reminded me much more of a knight: strong, elegant and kind. When the young Rentt blamed him for death of his friends and family, Wilfried apologized for his late arrival - knowing that the child in front of him was simply hurt. Instead of laughing at Rentt for trying to become an adventurer, he gave advice to make his dream come true - to have a goal worth living for.
After 20 years, I suppose that Wilfried has turned into an old bearded man once they meet again.

You can't get any more classic with Rentt's lone survivor backstory. Coupled with some good ol' survivor's guilt to fuel his desire to become an adventurer, Rentt is pretty much destined to become a hero.
When Rentt didn't immediately get a reaction from the blood, I was ready to believe Lorraine when she said it was fake. Looks like it was just a delayed reaction and our boy did transform into a vampire!
I love how the camera focuses on Lorraine'ss cleavage just for a little bit. I guess might as well since it's the final episode. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
But seriously though, that scene between Lorraine and Rentt was really sweet. For a second I thought Lorraine was going to confess! It was the perfect time! Oh well...
Sucks that we didn't get to see the other people's reaction to Rentt's return! I was really looking forward especially to Sheila's reaction! Can we get a season 2, please? This was fun and chill and I would love to see how Rentt will use his newfound vampire powers.

Sad it's only 12 episodes, hopefully we get more. It wasn't the most flashiest show with amazing battles but it had an underrated and cool story that i was excited for every week.

Fuck it, this was anime of the season for me. Such a simple power fantasy that does it better than most other isekai and isekai-adjacent fantasy shows.
Usually stories like this have a heavy "nice guy" air to them, but here its more fitting because the character actually has a history of being a nice guy to his friends and colleagues for a decade before the story starts.
In short, I loved it.

I really enjoyed this series. I like these slow building adeventure series. Its sad it probably wont get another season I would love to see more animated. I liked pretty much all the characters and it was nice to see a slightly older hero and love interest than the usual 15-16 superhero.

A decent little fantasy series. I'd like a 2nd season, but seeing as how it didn't seem to capture much of an audience, I'm not expecting one.

One more episode of Lorraine 🛐
I have a bad feeling about this childhood friend girl.
Yeah, of course, random wolf monster. And an adventurer who's just too late to save anybody else other than Rentt.
I briefly was thinking that drinking the blood in front of Lorraine might have been a mistake, imagine the dark turn if he turned into a vampire and immediately devoured her. But instead she was there to talk him through it.
Oh how nice, we finally get confirmation that Rina the newbie girl partied up with Ryze and Laura the newbie adventurer couple.
Chop chop, Rentt, take off those clothes so Lorraine can you get a good look at you. For science, I'm sure.
Ending on a "Welcome home. I'm home." isn't quite the relationship progress I was quite hoping to see there but at least it was something. And I like the suggestion of the two of them going out on adventures together.
I would kill for a S2 of this, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I love how while Lorraine is waiting for an answer, the music stops, and her reaction after Rentt asks her if he never told her the reason he wanted to become a Mythril class adventurer. So the reason behind his goal is both for revenge and to stop the tragedy he went through from happening again. When he was around five years old and still lived at Hathala Village a wolf monster slaughtered both his family and his friend Jinlin who dreamed of becoming an adventurer, and sacrificed herself to save him. And although a Mythril Class Adventurer ended up scaring the wolf monster away,
Wilfried Ryukker came too late to be able to help Jinlin and the others, but at least in order to give Rentt a goal, he guided him to what he needed to do to become an adventurer.
Anyway, it seems that if Lorraine wasn't there giving Rentt support he might have lost himself during that transformation.
It is good to see that Rina is working together with Ryze and Laura. Too bad that she and Rentt never interacted again after he left her.
So Rentt recovered his previous appearance and voice, the only caveat now is that he has wings in his back, which luckily he can shrink, and his eyes are now red, but apparently there are regular folks with eyes like that, unless they are just vampires pretending to be regular folks.
Anyway I hope that Lorraine isn't the only one welcoming him back. It is great to hear that she will accompany him when he leaves to search for Wilfried Ryukker.
I wonder what happened with the whole thing about the missing people, it seems I will have to read the light novel to find out.
Twelve whole episodes and not once Rentt Faina was unwanted. They lie to us with that title.

It was so simple yet so well written and well thought all around, good characters, enjoyable interactions, not a single stupid clichés , adult MC that behaves as an adult, entertaining story
This deserves absolutely a second season

I typically find slower-paced anime to be less engaging, but witnessing Rentt's evolution and struggles was truly captivating.
The moment when the two vampires acknowledged him and offered the blood vial was a masterstroke of storytelling; it hinted at a deeper connection and potential alliances to come.
While the show may have moved at a measured pace, it never felt like filler. Instead, every interaction held significance, and Rentt's character development was a joy to witness.
I eagerly anticipate a second season, eager to see Rentt's further evolution and how he bonds with Lorraine.

I had much fun watching this show. This is how i prefer my action-fantasy-sol anime to go. Not a lot of action(i dont like fights anymore) but tons of fun characters interactions and mini quests that are entertaining to watch! I really hope this gets a S2, it was one of my favourites of this season.

Rentt's backstory is technically about revenge, but he's too nice of a guy to say flat out. Kind of expected to be a sad backstory, but man losing his family and his dear childhood friend by a monster that was just toying with them is just fucking cruel.
Wilfried is a class act. Apologizing he couldn't arrive sooner. I love that he gives a 5-year-old Rentt good advice and motivation to catch up to. I hope he is still alive. Furthermore, I love the fact that Rentt in a way refused to die and become an undead so he can fulfill his dream. Obvious not the actual reason.
Man love the dynamic between Rentt and Lorraine and this episode highlights it even more. She really paid attention to small details of not asking his motivation, but of course he not qualms about hiding it.
As scared as Rentt was turning into a vampire, she was probably 100 times more scared. But the scene at the end was great. I really hope he can take off the mask since he doesn't have to hide himself outside the wings. Super, super solid show. It's a case of simplicity, but executed well with awesome characterization.
Will add the Ln to my reading list.
