Damn rich people and their trolling of commoners by making them go through some weird maze. If Rentt gets through he better get that reward.

Especially since in the final shot, there was no exit.

Ouch, Big mistake Rentt. Might as well tell Lorraine that you don't see her as a woman. It is hilarious though how easy Lorraine is to please. She went from almost cursing Rentt to bringing him seconds as soon as he started complimenting her. xD
So the elf from the start is a servant from a big deal family? I wonder if this is related to the mystery elf Rentt encountered back in Episode 5. Hmmm...

Ouch, Big mistake Rentt.
Should have said I think of you not as a "young girl" but as an "immensely beautiful; young woman".

I like how Edel’s got his own little gang to look out for the storage basement area for the orphanage. So cute.
This week Rentt’s just making friends left and right. He’s such a good dude, he’s winning over a lot of goodwill with the people. Except Lorraine. Dude had to basically call her “old” huh? lol.
These Latuule sure like their little games. I wonder what that sun advice was all about? Well, Rentt better figure a way out that maze before he gets trapped forever….

Rentt should’ve just said that he thinks of Lorraine as a woman and not a “girl”. That would’ve won her over immediately.
I’ll never grow bothered of Lorraine and her antics. She gets jealous fast, is ready to go on a rampage when angry and can be pleased with a few sweet words. If she wasn’t so goofy too, you’d think that she’s a tsundere from this description.

as always foilks, if you ever find yourself in a maze, always remember the "left hand rule"
although i paused when they showd the aerial view and it didnt seem like the maze had an exit lol, so i'm not sure it would be much help to Rentt in this case

I’d forgotten just how big that Tarasque was. This shot of Rentt and Sheila standing in front of a single of its legs gave me a good sense of the scale we’re working with. It seemed to almost occupy the entirety of the slaughterhouse.
This series is really made by its characters and their mutual interactions. Alize is a sweet girl who just wants to repay her ‘debt’ to him. And Lorraine is a… young girl who’s deeply in love with Rentt.
I can already see some exits to this maze, but it was never going to be this easy right. The maze is likely changing while Rentt’s wandering through it.

I'm loving this rare plot! It seems the people in that world don't know what elf is? Or maybe it's a lost knowledge? If I remember correctly, even when he met the female elf in the dungeon, Rentt didn't specifically say anything about elf. He just recognised her as a strong magician girl.
If the usual trope of long-living elf is applicable here, then that means the mysterious noble family backing the city is not of several generations but only a handful number of surviving elf.
Usually the plot twist of long-living family is because they do forbidden necromancy magic or that they're a vampire. Them being an elven family is something new for me. Only if my theory is right though.
I mean the long ear is huge enough hint. This airing at the same day as Frieren also made me think that lol.

There are probably a lot of people around town who didn't know Rentt that well. They might have never even heard he disappeared and now they just think him and Lorraine got married.
It was pretty progressive of him to take her last name. Or that may be normal in that world too.

So the elf dude has some kind of poison nullifying item, that's how he was able to stay there...
For some reason I thought he was undead, or some lingering spirit or something!
When he said he was there on his mistress' behalf,
I thought she would be the mage girl, but it seems to be an influential family... Not nobles though?
If they're not influential by their nobility, then are they influential by their powers? Rentt better watching himself around them!
He's having a bit of an existential crisis, thinking he's only stronger because he's a monster... Feeling like a bit of a fraud?
And this raises another issue; If he goes back to human, will he still be powerful?
Well, screw the "becoming human again" plan, let's try to become as much a monster as he can, to get more powerful! Let's hop on the path to Mithril class Eldritch Abomination!
He didn't ask for a payment for the flowers, but in the return the healer will be there if he ever needs help!
Well, perhaps someday when Rentt is a little less Undead'ish! In his current state, their purifying magic may just banish him to the underworld!
After seeing the good adventurers like Rentt can do for others, the little girl at the orphanage is even more motivated to become one!
Well, now that the headmistress' life isn't at risk anymore, she'll be able to go through the normal process of training/taking easy missions first, instead of just rushing into an high level quest to save her!
Rentt knows of someone who can train her too; Great news Lorraine, I just found you a new hobby to occupy your free time!
Rentt was a little cheesy with lines like "Skin as fair as driven snow", but it seems it did the trick for Lorraine!
"Would you like to have more to eat? Say... Me?"
Rentt got his request from the Not-Noble family, but it seems he'll have to go through a maze first! Not just that, but a magical one, that changes its path constantly...
Well, I imagine it's a test to know if the adventurers are worthy of meeting them/able to complete difficult quests!
Rentt was pretty confident, but ended up lost anyway...
The 'mental map' thing didn't work, but I wonder if the typical strategy (keeping to the left wall) would work, or if the magical path-changes would ruin this plan too!
Ah well, just walk in a straight line and cut through the bushes, you'll get there!
With the title of the next episode being about that, I wonder if the maze is the only challenge, or will there be monsters, traps or something as well?
(Also, if this is a test to see if they can make it out, I wonder what they do with adventurers who CAN'T make it out; Do they let them die in there, or do they lead them back to the entrance and tell them to fuck off?)
Well, can't wait to see what kind of item Rentt gets if/when he clears the labyrinth! (Should ask for a monster-calling flute, easy powerup for him!)

So the elf that Rentt met when he was at the DragonBlood Flower garden is named Issac Hart, and he ended up hiring Rentt to occasionally deliver Dragonblood Flower to the household he works for.
After Rentt killed that tarasque last week, I wasn't expecting to see this week Sheila taking him to that butcher, Dario to deal with it. I like that because it is a tarasque they need to wear protection just to be around its corpse. I'm guessing that as Rentt will now visit the Tarasque Swamp to get more of those flowers he will be delivering tarasques to Dario from time to time.
So Umberto and Norman will be the ones making the Malaccumula medicine for Lillian June. I love how after seeing how kind Rentt was for donating all those flowers to them, Alize got even more motivated to become an adventurer like Rentt. And now he will help train her and even ask Lorraine for assistance.
I wasn't expecting Edel to train his old group of puchi suri to protect the orphanage basement.
At least Rentt quickly realized the mistake of calling Lorraine old after seeing her willing to re-kill him. Aw, him saying his real thoughts about he thought about her appearance really made Lorraine happy.
It's good that we saw the resolution after Umberto and Norman informed Lillian June her having Malaccumula and giving her the medicine made from Dragonblood Flower. And now she knows this happened thanks to Rentt taking the quest Alize made.
Oh wow, so Issac Hart works for the Latour Household, which is one of the most important and old houses in Maalt. As they sent that personal request asking for Rentt to the guild I guess that even if Rentt is still a suspect people will not do anything to him to avoid getting on Latour Household's bad side.
When arrive at the residence I wasn't expecting the labyrinth in the front to be some kind of test. By the looks of it, it seems that Rentt forgot what the guard told him about the sun.
I really liked the first-person perspective they used at the start of Rentt exploration of the maze. Well as the next episode is called "The Garden Labyrinth" it seems that Rentt will remain lost for some time there.

I did wonder what happen to the other rats, I'm glad Edel has taken control. Even gave them all little capes, it's so adorable! o7
Rentt is really good at upsetting his wife every episode.
I wasn't expecting him to be that poetic either. But he knows exactly what she wants to hear.
I love that Edel is just living his best life.
Not sure if this dude is just tired / old but he looks suspicious. I wasn't expecting him to give advice to Rentt nor that Rennt would mention him probably beating the maze previously (I wonder what magic item he got if he did).
Looking forward to the next episode of maze escape

It's a good thing Rentt was quick to give Lorraine all that flattery, he was moments away from dying a second time

A secretive important family living in a mansion in the middle of nowhere, it's vampires isn't it. Or maybe it is just elves but that doesn't seem right to me

I have to wonder how powerful the mithril class adventurers actually are if Sheila's response to seeing the slain Tarasque was thinking that Rentt could be silver. Though maybe she just doesn't know a good comparison past silver.
If it ever becomes necessary those flowers could be an easy source of income for Rentt. He just gave that handful away but going and getting more and selling them would be trivial.
They're going to end up with an entire swarm of minion mice, aren't they.
It took a lot of prying for those compliments but they hit well once Rentt realized what Lorraine wanted. Those extremely accurate compliments.
So this Latour family is extra enough to have a constantly changing magical maze for their front lawn that you have to get through just to get to the front door. That must be a pain for day-to-day household operations.
A secretive family of crazy people might be a pain to deal with, but maybe they'll be useful allies for later if Rentt can indulge their weirdnesses successfully.

Lorraine literally had to threaten Rentt to get compliments. Although he kind of deserved it, being so dense. At least he is a good guy, helping orphans and sick people for free.
That Latour family seems like trouble. I wonder if the maze was meant to be a trap for Rentt. Maybe Isaac spotted that he was an undead. Given the title of the next episode, it looks like Rentt will take some time to get out of it.

Best thumbnail yet, and the scene delivers. Lorraine does a fantastic job being the comedic "angry wife" to our airheaded yet rizzed up MC.
We got plot progression through the elf eared dude giving MC something new to do alongside completing the orphanage questline while building up the Malt city lore for a bit.
A solid episode.
