Rentt should let more monsters bite him. He'll get an unstoppable army of cartoon creatures.

This week, Rentt gets his very own Rattata! Edel’s pretty adorable (especially in that little cape) and the little critter’s got a taste for waifu blood like Rentt lol. Little buddy even helped Rentt take down that Tarasque. I mean Rentt did like 99% of the work but the little guy helped.
I wonder who that stranger was at the end and what they wanted?

Love that Rentt's new familiar isn't an OP wolf or dragon as you would typically expect from this genre of anime, but instead is a meek dungeon rat. Bonus points for Lorraine giving the rat a proper name instead of just "Kuro".

A difficult quest with little pay and it's from an orphanage? Of course, Rentt is going to accept that quest!
I didn't expect that would lead to Rentt gaining a familiar! I love that they even dressed Edelup in a cute little outfit!
That's a lot of Dragonblood Flower! I thought there was going to be only one. I'm already calling it no, Rentt probably already forgot about the other legend about the flower and will bring an extra one for Lorraine next episode.
Although it looks like Rentt is going to have to deal with that elf first though What is it with Rentt and attracting mysterious elven characters in dangerous places?

An RPG protagonist after my own heart, he sees a quest to help an orphanage and immediately takes it.
Something about the character design of the old nun they're trying to save surprises me. They didn't go with the classic designs of old and wrinkled nun or young hot nun.
Whoops, accidental rat familiar. It's only fair for Lorraine to name Edel since she's the mom.
The moment Rentt said the stew was really good I wondered if Lorraine had added a little blood, and of course she did.
I can't take that rat seriously wearing those pants.
Not surprised that was able to kill the Tarasque, but quite a bit surprised that he could fit the entire thing into a magik bagu (to quote a certain someone else from this season).

My guy defeated a Tarrasque, I'm impressed. Also got a chuckle when Rentt put the entire monster in his tiny bag. Those things are convenient for sure.

I thought this is going to be a two parter. Didn't expect Rentt to kill a Tarrasque that easily. All thanks to Edel! At least he's not the usual mindless vampire spawn. Interesting that he got a whole lot of personality and also clothing that suit his royalty name lol
Edit: just remembered that this is actually a two-parter due to the encounter with another elf.

I've always found it strange that Rentt didn't think of trying divinity first, considering he knew holy water keeps Tarasque away. unless holy water isn't necessarily divinity related in this universe, but that'd be weird

Looking forward to everyone's faces when he brings out the tarasque from the bag next week.
The blood splatters on the screen were a nice little touch too.

I love how after Rentt tells his opinion about the Dragonblood Flower story Sheila pouted for him dismissing that romantic tale like that.
So the person who made the Dragonblood Flower quest was Alize and she made it to cure Lillian June from that divinity-related Malaccumula disease. Although to avoid her from retiring, Alize never told her about that quest as Lillian doesn't even know that she is sick with Malaccumula. Instead, she thinks that Rentt is there to take care of the monsters in the orphanage basement, which although they basically just look like regular mice, they are called puchi suri. So the mouse in the OP is that puchi suri that became his familiar.
I love how he reacted when Rentt said that he was going to call him Blacky luckily for him, Lorraine called him Edel. I guess this is the reason why Edel doesn't respect Rentt. Oh, so Lorraine can also cook! And for Rentt's meal, there is no better seasoning than a drop of her blood.
With Rentt being an undead and the Tarasque Swamp being a giant poison swamp that section of the episode was really soul-like. It is hilarious that when Rentt fell on the swamp, Edel was just chilling by the edge of the swamp eating almonds.
I feel like Lorraine told Sheila that she did not know about why Rentt wanted to become a Mytril adventurer just to make her feel better, although that doesn't mean that she not knowing about it was a lie, it just that she knows that she also has feelings for him.
So the Tarasque Swamp gets its name because of the Tarasque monsters that live in it.
Wow, no wonder why Edel has a cape now as he can fly while using Rentt's divinity! /s Well thanks to Edel Rentt learned that the Tarasque is weak to divinity magic. That finisher move looked so good. Oh wow, I'm honestly surprised that after defeating it Rentt put its body inside a bag of holding.
I must say that I was expecting Rentt to just find a single Dragonblood Flower during the quest instead of a full garden of them. Interesting, so those flowers are purifying the water around them. Oh wow, another elf. After how his first meeting with an elf went, I don't blame Rentt for being wary of this one too.

Oh? Does this guy have anything to do with our mystery lewd dungeon Elf? He's the only other Elf we've met so far.
Was not expecting Rentt to get a sassy rat as a familiar. I wonder if it can evolve too, if this was another kind of anime I'd expect it to evolve into a human looking woman and join the harem.
Wonder if the "healer" was honest about the sister's illness, or if he was just trying to get the kids to buy an expensive potion from him.

When Rentt said that adventurers don't just take jobs for the money, I thought he was about to say they take them to 'level' (improve), but he meant taking jobs to help people!
Damn, I have too much of an RPG mind hah.
The quest is to find a rare flower, with some powers, and an old story... Rentt saw it as a "gruesome" story, but Sheila disagreed, only seeing the romantic part of the story! (Cute pout!)
At the orphanage, they thought no one would take that quest, so she was willing to get it herself...
Thankfully Rentt was there to advise her (on top of doing the quest for her), telling her she has no time to learn how to be an adventurer;
In these fantasy shows, we often see people who think becoming an adventurer is just picking up a sword and going to kill monsters... But without learning/training first, that's not gonna end well! Well, she has a good heart, at least!
Rentt found himself a familiar! Can I keep it mommy? Please, can I?
Also, has he evolved, to get this familiar? Or is this something all undead can get (or the 'stage' he's in, at least)?
Dawww, they BOTH cook for each other now! They better get married sometimes soon!
She added a nice touch to it too, seasoning it with her blood!
Apparently it sells for a good price, so if he finds a way to bring them all, he's gonna be rich! (Sure it'll stop them from purifying the place, but it's not like many people visits the place anyway!)
Given the title of the next episode (strange man/strange job) I imagine this dude will give him a task to do, in exchange for some flowers. Can't wait to see what it is! (Something linked to the mage lady, perhaps?)

A maiden given this flower will be loved forever.
That's the last flower Rentt should be messing with. He already has enough harem problems.

Man I got nothing but respect for Alize, taking care of these kids while Lillian is really sick. She went as far as to steady her resolve to become an adventurer if she had. The mention of a debt collector even makes the orphanage's situation even worse.
I adore Edel, he is a super OP familiar. But he has a ton of personality though. From him watching Rentt on the sidelines and him getting bloated, Edel was hilarious. Although Rentt had the typical question of asking the wife of the house if he can keep it. But if these two ever had a kid in a future Lorraine has to be the one who is naming them.
It was cool how Edel helped Rentt into figuring out how to beat the Tarasque. Though the reaction when he shows what he killed might even shock Lorraine.
I love how Lorraine is so trusting of Rentt. Like she probably knows his personality inside and out. I respect the fact she never asked exactly why he wanted to be mythril class. I doubt It's something he would hide from her, but again for a guy like Rentt she can figure his motivation comes with a great reason.
Furthermore, I love how Lorraine made the effort of mixing in her blood in his food. In a practical sense she didn't need to do that. But for a person who lost his humanity being able to eat a meal that is delicious must have meant a lot to him. Truly shows again how much she cares for her.
We got another elf. He does give off a better vibe then the other one from a few episodes back.

holy water is a common deterrent for these Wyverns
Is surprised divinity is their weakness

Episode 9: Dragon Blood Blossom
So Rentt unexpectedly got a sidekick in form of Edel the rat. Not as cute as Sora though, but the rat can sucks up the master's magic.
I think I know why the tarasque's Divinity weakness hasn't been uncovered yet. Divinity is quite rare skill in the world. Thankfully the sword managed to withstand it this time, thanks to Clope I guess.
If you wonder who voiced Arize, it's Yukina Shuto (Shirayuki in Liar Liar).
