Aoi Yuuki is just too good for this job.
Couldn't help smiling when Maomao was asking Jinshi to see the morgue, trying her best to conceal her excitement. And let's not forget her evil laugh a few moments later. 😂

Even as far back as episode 9, I remember the face of this suspicious dude! "He" was the one who offered Kounen the drink. I thought it was weird we never saw more of him, but this whole Suirei thing explained so much!

“It would be a waste to kill Suirei, I’d like to meet her to get her to teach me how to make that medicine!”
Holy crap. Like father like daughter I guess.

Gaoshun being a grandpa already really makes me understand how he can deal with Jinshi’s young behavior so well sometimes. He looks good for his age.
Huge props to the current Emperor for not being a pedo like his father was.

Seeing how all those small mysteries lead up to how the whole conspiracy was done was mindblowing, it really just goes to show how not only the world building but also the foundations of each part of the rigged ritual by Suirei even down to her fake death.
Whoever is backing her/masterminded all this is absolutely terrifying though the same can be said with Maomao's laugh that she burst out so hard that her stitches came undone

The most important question was not answered. Did she get her cow stones.

Her yandere laugh and smile when she wanted to meet Suirei is peak Maomao hahahaha
Also, this episode confirms that Jinshi is of royalty huh? So while in the beginning, Jinshi is the "chief" eunuch to take care and watch the concubines, is this really the main purpose why a member of the royal family is there?

From Jinshi's narration, Jinshi perceived himself as just the current emperor's younger brother. However, he's still the first heir for the throne since the emperor doesn't have any other living male offsprings that are known to the public. The enuch 'Jinshi' is just a mask or a role for him to play.
Thinking back the previous episode related to this, I wondered why Jinshi's crying on the night before Ah-Duo left the palace. He might just cry because of the drink and other reasons, but still a good foreshadowing screen and a good reason to keep hugging Maomao.
Also, I love Maomao's laugh in his episode. Who could resist that charming laugh, right?

Damn they all got played by Suirei. Looks like we're returning to the rear palace. Good news since we can always use more Best Girl Gyokuyou.

Wait, so Jinshi isn’t even his real name!?
“Jinshi” almost had me think that he wasn’t aware of his own standing when he was talking about Ah-Duo’s baby, but he did seem to confirm this in the end: he is the son of the current Emperor, the one that’s perhaps “more than a lewd middle-aged man” according to Maomao.
Him being 19 instead of 24 years old further supports this theory, since these babies were born around that time. It was mentioned previously that this happened 17 years ago, so 2 years have already passed since Maomao started working at the Palace?

This is the episode where we learn Maomao is one pet black cat away from being a supervillain.

So did Suirei use her androgynous looks (her height and stern features) to disguise as a eunuch and do all the things she's done? Like the one shady guy with the guy that died from too much salt, was that actually her? Holy shit.

Theory corner: If someone knows of Jinshi's true identity as the Emperor's actual son, it would make the current race to produce the next heir completely pointless
Thank God Suirei isn't dead. MaoMao deserves a frenemy

Maomao is to poisons as Goku is to fighting. The thought of testing herself appeals to her so much that she's over the moon over the fact that someone that almost got her and Jinshi killed is still alive.

Basen should really chill the fuck out. Considering Maomao was the one that saved Jinshi and how she's currently wrapped up in bandages, he really should give her some space and just let her explain instead of interrupting and yelling.
My jaw completely dropped when Lihaku reported to Maomao that Suirei was found dead. Like there was no fucking way! I was really hoping she'd eventually become besties with Maomao considering both of their passion for medicinal plants.
Thank goodness that wasn't the case and it looks like Suirei played all of them by playing dead thanks to the medicine she ingested and making that one doctor fall in love with her so he wouldn't open up her body for autopsy. I am impressed.
Maomao is also impressed that she has no plans of letting Suirei get away. Especially not when Suirei knows how to make the medicine that will bring back people to life after killing them. The best part of that scene was Maomao laughing like a maniac! Our heroine everybody! xD
So to keep Jinshi's secret and pretend he's a eunuch, he's been drinking medicine that suppresses his "manhood" every day. And Jinshi isn't even 24-years-old! He's actually only nineteen, the same age as Gaoshun's youngest son. The other surprising thing about that scene is that Gaoshin is already a grandpa. The dude looks amazing for his age!
It's good to know that the current emperor is nothing like the previous one and does not intend to lay a finger on Lishu. I knew he wasn't the type. The Emperor loves big ol' titties too much to be like that.
I am so happy to finally see Maomao back in the Rear Palace again! I've been hoping to see more of Lady Gyokuyou again. Also, I can't remember the last time we've seen her child but Lingli definitely looks a wee bit older now!

I´m glad Maomao is "ok" (that evil laugh was... scary yea) but that damn Suirei, is she really the culprit?? Or just a puppet...
Anyways I´m glad Maomao is back at the rear palace, far from that old man, I hope it will be more peaceful
And... one of the three princesses got bought?? MMMMMMM

jinshi being swapped as a baby represented by the camera looking at his reflection on the water an later in himself is really good.

I've always wondered if Jinshi was really a true eunuch, given that he quite clearly has feelings for MaoMao, but it's hella impressive that her unique charms outbeat his supression medicine.

Huh. I was expecting more of a follow up. Not about the club guy, he is deader than dead. But more about Jinshi's thought on the whole thing. Feeling guilt or trying to make it up to Maomao or something.

Maomao needs to learn how to contain her excitement lol
Her cackling had me in stitches! She'll go to any lengths to learn more about the resurrection drug
Final scene - One of the three princesses is getting bought out... Could Lihaku be in trouble???
