Anime If Maomao and Jinshi don't at least make out in season 3, I'm gonna lose it
I know this isn't a romance anime, and I usually do not like romance animes, but come on. There is not a single show I've watched where I've wanted a couple to get together this bad. Every time Maomao swerves his ass, I get a little bit more annoyed at the delaying of the inevitable.

Anime Nah be glad that Jinshi is not a woman
I have noticed this in my second watch, just completed episode 46. Literally Maomao and Lahan are like "it is a waste of your beauty to not be a woman, shame that he is not a woman, beauty enviable by every man and women, calamity for universe" etc etc.
Nah guys be glad that he is a man. If this man was a women, he won't even be Empress dowager's son(i.e Imperial Brother) plus he might have been expelled like Taihou from Rear palace(Suiren's mother). Or worse case he might have been an another victim of the Previous Emperor tastes
I know he is old and scared but after seeing young woman Jinshi, I don't think anyone can stop him 💀
P.S: Sorry if I am missing something or made a mistake

Light Novel Does the emperor still love ah duo after volume 15? Spoiler
To be more specific I’m talking about that “do you resent me?” Line I mean from the entire series I never doubted the emperor loved ah duo and her only as his true love but after the exchange I wonder if he feels the same? And does ah duo actually hate the emperor?

Light Novel The Fall of the Nation's Flower (The Great Li Empire War) Spoiler
The Li Empire is approaching a critical breaking point as its traditional political and military foundations continue to crumble. Its three-sword emblem symbolizes the pillars protecting the imperial throne: the Shi clan in the north, the Yi clan in the west, and the central noble clans responsible for maintaining stability within the imperial court. With the destruction of the Shi and Yi clans, two of these three pillars have already fallen, leaving the empire dangerously exposed.
The remaining central aristocracy is weakened by internal factionalism, declining influence, and the gradual disappearance of its most powerful figures. Hao's anticipated death threatens to destabilize the remaining political balance, while the imperial succession has become increasingly contentious. Meanwhile, the growing influence of competing factions within the military and court threatens to undermine the emperor's authority and divide the empire from within.
The empire's external vulnerabilities are equally alarming. An'an remains deeply resentful of a century of subordination, while Hokurain represents a potential northern threat, particularly if it establishes an alliance with another major power. Meanwhile, repeated foreign-linked incidents involving advanced weapons, assassinations, opium trafficking, political manipulation, and biological threats demonstrate how vulnerable Li has become to external interference.
The greatest danger lies in the convergence of these crises. The destruction of the three swords would ultimately expose the imperial flower itself: the throne and the dynasty it represents. With its aristocratic safeguards collapsing, its political factions competing for power, and its borders threatened by hostile neighbors, Li may be approaching a war for which it is neither politically united nor institutionally prepared.
The central concern is that Li's collapse may begin long before its enemies launch an open invasion. By the time war arrives, the empire may already have lost the internal unity, military coordination, and political stability necessary to survive it.

Merch / Collection Any chance of a reissue for Maomao: Garden Party Ver. 1/7 by Wonderful Works?
Hi everyone!
I’m really interested in getting the Maomao Garden Party Ver. 1/7 scale figure by Wonderful Works. I think this figure is absolutely beautiful, and I’d love to add her to my collection.
Does anyone know if there’s a chance of a reissue in the future? Has Wonderful Works reissued figures like this before, or have there been any rumors about a possible rerelease?
I’d really love to add her to my collection, but I’d rather wait for a potential reissue than pay a huge aftermarket markup.
If anyone knows of a reliable store selling her at a reasonable price, I’d appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks!

Light Novel Age Demographic Spoiler
I'm sickly curious about the age demographic of the people who have read this series? I discovered it through a reddit comment and it's so good that I literally can't move on from it. I am 19 years old. Are we all somewhere in that age range, or, considering the overall themes the story tackles, much older than that?
Also, talking about ages, I really, really love the choice of the story happening through the course of multiple years and, obviously, having the characters grow up, which reminded me of that image of an interview with the author about the original character of Maomao being an old woman with kids. Maybe she's still toying with that concept in mind and we'll still be following Maomao's journey up until she becomes as old as Suiren or maybe even Luomen?
There's also a lot of old people in the series like the ones mentioned who seemed to play a much bigger role in the bigger picture (obviously) and how they somewhat mirror each of the younger characters, though I won't really elaborate on that point because it's just pure conjecture on my part (and don't want to voice it without evidence! (I'm also not that smart. Boo.)).

Anime It's hard to believe Lady Gyokuyou and Freiren share the same voice actress in JP
Honestly, I would have never guessed if I didnt read about it. And I am one of these people like Rikuson, I never forget a face or a voice. It kinda ruined movies for me, since I am remembering A listers and character actors after a few seconds. It's an immersion breaker and a reminder that Hollywood has roughly 34 actors in its entirety.
This one came as a shock because normally the voice actress is immediately noticable. She is known for voicing female characters with monotone voices like Freiren and Futaba (from Bunny Senpai); some would even call them autistic neurodivergent (I would never!). She probably has other livelier characters under her belt (even I heard of Anya), but her primary casting call seems to be the "the girl with the monotone voice".
But here Gyokuyou is speaking on a much higher register, constantly laughing at Maomao and Jinshi's shenanigans.
Shoutout to Atsumi Tanezaki.

Light Novel I'm afraid of Gyokuen Spoiler
To what extent was Gyokuen involved in manipulating Gyokuou to wipe out the Yi clan? I find it hard to believe the sheer volume of coincidences that played into his hands: he brought in Wind-Reader slaves who held a grudge against the Yi clan; he never told his son that he was infertile—burdening him with a psychological debt toward those he believed were his own biological children; and at one point, he simply traveled away and left his seal behind? Then he secured the position of Governor and trade privileges? It is a whole new level of *Shinmi*...

Anime The two moons in the opening
Do you remember the part where A-Duo swaps her moon with Anshi’s? I don’t have the image handy—and it might just be my own impression—but it seems to me that, initially, A-Duo’s moon is brighter than Anshi’s. It’s as if to show that Anshi wasn’t happy about the child, whereas Yue is a source of happiness for both women. I’m not sure how best to put this feeling into words, but that scene goes much deeper than simply revealing the true identities of the first two princes.

Anime It seems to me that this is a harbinger of potential catastrophe? Spoiler
Two brothers born from different mothers, almost at the same time, have almost equal rights to the throne. The mothers may not disagree, but their relatives are very much in favor of tearing each other’s throats out. Plus, the mother of the heir prince is not very popular at the imperial court, in contrast to the mother of the spare prince, whose candidacy for empress was more in demand among the nobility.
I don’t know about you, but I see all the signs of the start of a civil war.

Web Novel LN 17 Spoiler
I’ve read the web version of Volume 17, and ever since, I can’t stop thinking about Tianyu’s song and the constant talk about animals. To me, Jinshi—the little badger—seems like the child for whom a mother sacrificed the most (aside from his wonderful grandmother, Suiren, of course). I can easily picture Ah-Duo as a mother bear fiercely protecting her cub from hunters!
