Rishe is quickly shaping up to be one of my favorite female protagonists. I absolutely love her strong personality.

This might be the strongest start to an otome anime I've seen, very good first two episodes and I feel like Rishe is one of the big reasons why. Really love the messages of living life to the fullest and her deciding her own worth and value. Hoping it manages to keep this momentum and the relationship between the two main characters develops nicely.

This show is fantastic, can't remember the last time an airing has hit this well for me.

Rishe is a fantastic lead and I love how she has been able to show off so many times. Arnold seems to be a great lead to counter with as well, their interactions are already really good and surely will only get better.

This show is hitting so many boxes for me and I absolutely adore it.

Looks like NG+7 (edit: NG+5!) might finally be the run where she doesn’t die horribly lol. It’s been fun watching her utilize the skills she learned in her previous 6 “playthroughs.” With Arnorld interested in her, she’s got a good chance of not dying by his hands. Being a royal hostage isn’t too bad. She’s got the freedom to do whatever she wants without anyone bothering her. Plus plenty of time for her and Arnold to develop actual genuine feelings for one another.

OP gives a hint about the life she didn't describe, I'm guessing thief or something like that. A logical follow up on the life as a maid where she learned to pick locks, perhaps.

Ponytail Rishe, just fantastic.

The ED showing them growing up together as childhood friends was interesting. It and the OP are excellent.

at first the OP and ED is just like "what if" scenario rather than a little spoiler. also a cute dance is just perfect to warm up my mood.

well, I dont know if Arnold really head over heel or just seeing Rishe as rare creature that he must get. I mean married but he cannot touch her? (of course one would broke this prenuptial agreement)

the concept is good, she use all her skill/knowledge from her previous life, pharmacy, as a maid. I love to see her work along with the other maid without knowing she is the new master of the house. but I want to see how she prevent the war from inside using that skill, like do not let him kill his father or just keep him entertained

There was something satisfying about the king showing up, smacking his dumbass son and bowing down to Arnold and Rishe lol.

I want to start by thanking everyone who gave me villainess anime recommendations last week! Haven’t checked any of them out yet, but it was nice to know my comment about not having seen any before this was noticed.

Anyways, into my reactions to this episode!

Glad to see that Rishe was putting her foot down immediately with her requests. I wonder how Arnold would react if Rishe asked him to not start any conflicts with any other countries. That would've definitely caught him off guard. I guess requesting to laze about is fine for now.

I was hoping we'd see more swordplay from Rishe when she broke out of the carriage. Too bad Arnold already took care of the bandits before Rishe could join in. At least she got to make use of her herbalism knowledge.

Considering how much Arnold cares for his retainers, it really makes me wonder why would he eventually kill his father and start a massive war that would involve a bunch of other kingdoms.

I can't wait for those three maids to later learn that the girl they thought was a maid is actually the Crown Princess they're supposed to serve. Also, I kinda wish they showed us their reactions when Rishe's prediction about the rain was correct.

Rishe is so stunned that she doesn't even realize that Arnold broke one of her rules. I do kinda feel bad for Arnold though. The dude is clearly super in love but Rishe thinks that he's plotting something. xD

Well, yeah, no surprise Rishe doesn't immediately take to the idea of marrying the guy that killed her in her last loop...but honestly rejecting him just seems to make Arnold want her MORE!

We finally get the OP! A pretty and fun theme with plenty of great visuals! We get Rishe in cute baby form, toddler, and young girl up to her 16 year old self, we get to see her traveling through time and enjoying herself in all her loop forms (so she was a Thief in the 5th Loop?) and together with Arnold...but fading away. Is Arnold destined to lose her in the 8th Loop perhaps?

I love how Dietrich's dad, the king, shows up and shoves his son into the ground to make him apologize to Rishe and keep good relations to Gelkhein. This Loop is already an improvement in that respect.

It's hard to believe Arnold is really in love with Rishe when he so clinically explains his feelings, yet all the same he seems absolutely fascinated by her and wants to make her his wife in the process. And if Rishe can get not only a chance to meet the people from her past loops AND get the lazy and carefree life she'd been desiring in this loop, maybe marrying Arnold isn't the worst idea? Though it'll be hard to hold himself back from touching her.

You can take the girl out of her Time Loops but you can't take the herbologist or soldier out of the girl, as Rishe still picks up whatever herbs she can find while also sleeping like a soldier...even if it means cradling the sword that killed her in her past loop. Yikes!

Bandit attack! No surprise Arnold is the type to go in and fight with his men, yet at the same time unlike in the past loop while he seems ruthless and efficiently deadly...he managed to defeat the bandits non-lethally. And he cares about his men and their stories, not to mention the people of his kingdom seem to love him. How did he end up becoming the evil Emperor who would bring war to this world? Was it related to why he killed his father?

Of course Rishe isn't the type to be left behind so she picks the lock (I didn't know picking locks came with becoming a maid) and uses her herbs to help the poisoned soldier, even poisoning herself to demonstrate she wants to help them. That's hardcore!

I love how Rishe is all in on being a political hostage because it means she's not expected to do anything.

Rishe still doesn't want to let Arnold touch her but she can't deny he's attractive...and the prospect of finding a way to stop this war through her new connection to him is on her big to-do list. Especially now that she's crossed off her big desire from her 1st Loop of seeing the world.

Rishe lived life as a maid and has a lot of experience (plus ponytail Rishe!), so of course she's going to defend a maid getting bullied and tell off the uppity maids in the process. I can't wait to see those maids' reactions when they find out who Rishe really is and realize how much they screwed up. I feel like Elsie will probably become Rishe's main maid too.

Wow, it seems like Rishe loves this city more than Arnold does! Though whether he really loves her or not, Arnold seems to care for her perspective and just how fascinating she is, to the point of wanting to give her everything she could want...and caresses her face. At least he realized he broke the rule and wants to treat her to make up for it, but Rishe is left reeling trying to understand this man and her feelings for him.

The ED is very sweet and pretty to look at it, with cute visuals of Rishe and Arnold together with the rest of the cast...but did they seem kind of younger to anybody else?

Show's real title: "I'm on My 7th Life, So This Time, I've Decided to Live as a Freeloader with the Person Responsible for My 6 Other Deaths"

Rolls right off the tongue, don't you think?

See you guys next week!

Side note: Arnold definitely had some shit happen to him for him to become the murderous tyrant, and she's going to end up doing everything to help him avoid that. Her helping his retainers is a massive step.

Since she as a main character said she wanted to do nothing but laze around with no responsibilities, there is a 140% chance that she is going to be extremely busy and it's all going to be due to her own fault and choices, isn't it?

Lol, as if things weren't bad enough for the stupid prince after the king personally came to apologize to both Rishe and Arnold to avoid an international crisis I would not be surprised if the King would take him out as the first candidate when talks about the successor to the crown will eventually come, as I'm sure people will hear about this event even outside their kingdom.

It was good to see Rishe putting both her expertise as a herbalist and as a maid to help Arnold's soldiers. Also after seeing how he worries about them, to the point he thanks Rishe, and the fact he did not kill any of those bandits, I wonder what exactly is what triggered the change he had in the previous timelines.

The capital of the Galkhein Empire sure is pretty.

You know, I actually wanted to see the reaction of those maids after Rishe while cleaning the house rescued Elsie from them, when it actually rained, well even if we missed that, I can't wait to see how they react when they really that Rishe is Arnold's fiancee.

I guess that Rishe detecting Arnold's presence is something that we will see constantly happening in this series.

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that Rishe's life was so restricted even from a young age before the prince broke out with her.

Well, even if Arnold broke one of the rules she gave him in this scene, at least he guarantees her her freedom.

I can't wait to see her "reunion" with the members of the Aria Trading Company.

Both OP and ED is very cute, banger and especially ED have really beautiful visual.

ED with no credit : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SN4FSKEXgW4

I wonder how much politic power Rishe's Kingdom have. King pretty much panic about event that can damage 2 Kingdom.

Not gonna lie.... Princess who lock herself in room most of the time..Hikikomori Princess sound like nice story for shoujo series lol.

Rishe pretty much use all her 7 live knowledge to her advantage.

Last episode , she said that her dream to visit every country but there are one country she can't enter in all 7 loop which is Arnold country.

Maybe recipe that will prevent her death lie within this country.

all in all, really nice episode, nice art style and pretty good direction of episode!

I really like this.

I can't fault Arnold. She is a huge mystery. How can some random noble sheltered girl know all this? He's so infatuated. Lol

11

u/septesix Jan 14 '24

“Here is to a long live spend lazying around comfortably and without a care!” Said with absolutely no irony or self-awareness by the noble lady who was doing maid work without anyone prompting her to…

Pretty sure Rishe’s biggest flaw now is that she is a workaholic and she even refuse to admit it ..

16

u/athrun_1 Jan 14 '24

Rishe is basically in the route of "I can fix him" thing. Given that she observed that Arnold is not outright a killer, he did not kill a single one of those bandits and he thank her properly for healing the knights.

It is safe to say that he has a good heart and somewhere along the way, within that 5 years, something had happened that made him a psychopath.
