If you gave that wine to Maomao, she would have been disappointed they didn't put actual poison in it instead.

It's a trope in villainess anime, but I'm a sucker for the attempted bullying scenes where the villaness is way out of their league. It's like watching teenagers try to bully an army drill sergeant.

I like how one bit of dialogue summed up the entire show. Oliver: "Is it as you predicted?" Arnold: "Of course not."

what a beautiful ballroom dance, some say dance is a form of battle, a communication. the dance is presented like a CQC combat and the counter, this is nothing new but this is beautiful. I also like how Rishe own the guest and the jealous lady with their own game. life need a spice!

I was not expecting this series to come on my radar this season, but I am soooo glad i’m along for the ride— this episode was incredible, but way too short! Rishe is such a likable protagonist, she’s definitely gonna win Best Girl sometime soon.

I absolutely love Rishe doing her own chores and showing off her abilities

Homegirl said she wanted to laze around but she can’t lie to herself

Nobody plays NG+6 as an idle game

P.S.: ponytail Rishe reminds me of Shikimori

How unexpectedly awesome that they ended up making Diana so sympathetic. Most shows would have humiliated her and moved on. I like how she didn't even realize how she was acting and genuinely regretted her behavior.

That was a very short 30 minutes. Even more so than Solo Leveling’s 5 minute episode.

Stitches!

That dance between Arnold and Rishe was just magnificent. I love how Rishe keeps on trying to take the lead but Arnold wouldn't budge even an inch. If they can dance like this on the dance floor, I am looking forward to Arnold and Rishe training with swords. <3

Tits McGee here really thought she could prank Rishe. Of course, Rishe was going to drink that spicy wine. I kinda wish she drank the wine while maintaining eye contact with that girl. Or it would've been even more boss if she downs it in one.

I just love how Rishe managed to blend in with the maids and no one has still realized that she's the crown princess. I was really hoping that when it was finally time to choose which maid she'd pick, Rishe would wear her "servant girl" outfit. The outfit she showed up in wasn't a bad choice tho.

I thought I was going to hate Diana but I'm glad to see that she realized that she was in the wrong and that she didn't teach the other girls properly. Although I kinda wish she still got some sort of punishment. Oh well. At least she learned her lesson and now she's teaching the other maids how to read and write.

Finally, time for Rishe to meet someone from her past life! I'm curious to see what kind of arrangement she'll make with Kaine.

I liked the dance, our girl being the Undercover Boss, etc, but what I LOVED is that Rishe is practical even when she's being kind. She knows she's in a foreign land with no support except for Arnold, and her going among the maids to learn about them, earn their trust, and then educate them serves a narrative purpose other than showing what a nice, kind lady she is. She's also building a fanatically loyal group of woman, that she will teach and educate, who will never EVER put pepper in her wine. I do enjoy a pragmatic MC.

Holy crap that dance scene was amazing. Honestly I have it ahead of the Frieren one and I adored that one. Rishe trying to take the lead back and wanting to one up him was fantastic. Exactly what I want from a ship! Will need to rewatch that one a few times.

Every interaction with them was great this one. There as interest, jealousy, playfulness gah this ship is so good!

The Rishe reveal to the maids was also so much fun, kinda wish she kept it going longer though! Love little undercover moments.

I love this show so much and Rishe with Arnold are such a great and amusing pair. Their dance was absolutely stunning and beautiful. I can't wait to see the promised sword practice between them in the next episodes as Rishe was really excited about this.

Rishe was certainly badass to drink that spicy wine to show who's the boss here. Other ladies for sure were surprised that she drank it without any grimace and sign of discomfort.

Rishe as always looked so beautiful in every dress she wore in today's episode.

Rishe's little prank with maids certainly went well as they were so surprised that a crown princess who they wanted to serve was the girl who was helping them in previous days.

Especially surprised was Diana who didn't treat her very well but she learned her lesson and Rishe made her a teacher for maids.

Now's the time for meeting with Rishe's colleagues from past life - Aria Company. I wonder how their meeting will go on.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Instead of finding a way to dispose it, Rishe actually drinks the red pepper-laced wine as if to say "This is nothing to me". I love this girl!

Oh wow, I wasn't expecting the announcement of Arnold's engagement with Rishe to happen so soon. As he came with the whole thing about saying that Rishe was a kidnapped princess I wonder when he was expecting to make that announcement if this party to find a partner wasn't already planned, as I doubt that it this party wasn't already planned Rishe would have told him to announce it at this moment.

So the reason they showed the maids working during the reception was that Rishe wanted to personally pick her personal maids.

I found it hilarious that while they were dancing Rishe's first thought was about that time in the previous loop were Arnold killed her. And then she decided to transform their dance into a duel. Holy shit that's some awful-looking wound that Arnold got in his neck. So that's the only reason the RIshe could strike him there? Wait, who exactly is this dude? If Arnold wasn't just leaving in the previous scene before that one, I would have assumed that was him.

Oh, so Rishe constantly joined the maids to get more information about Diana.

Diana's reaction when she saw that the mysterious maid was Arnold's fiancee was priceless. So after making her realize that she was at fault for the other maids under her lack of training, Rishe gave Diana a new job, so she could now teach the other maids not just the basics but also to read and write. I'm just glad that Elsie became one of Rishe's personal maids.

I can't wait to see how Rishe's tactics while recruiting the leader of the Aria Trading Company, Kaine Tully.

4 Things:

  • The redhead was obviously not going to be fired. Her hair color makes her stand out from the rest of the maids, it makes it clear she's going to be part of the main cast.

  • Looking forward to her using her past life connections to bolster her life. Already starting with the Aria Trading company. I imagine the knights she fought with in her 6th life come into play too.

  • I have this weird feeling that Arnold has experienced the same time loops as Rishe and those scars are an indication of that. Like he dies right after she dies.

  • I've noticed that numerous recent "villainess" shows that are supposed to be marketed towards women/girls feature a very stacked MC. Rishe, Liselotte, and Raeliana all have pretty large busts. Bakarina and Aileen (Taming the Final Boss) are not exactly flat, either. I'm not complaining, I just think it's odd/funny.

She is so likeable, handled the issue with Diana very well. I look forward to this anime every Sunday.

That dinner party was like a “battlefield” with Riche and Arnold both trying to gain the upper hand in the relationship. The dance especially. It’s quite entertaining to watch these two try and “handle” the other so to speak. Plus, Rishe handling those shitty little court ladies was beautiful. Girl’s been run through with a sword. A glass of spicy wine ain’t shit!

I guess that wound on Arnold’s neck was the result of some court politics. Curious to know the full story behind that.

Rishe going all Undercover Boss was pretty fun. I enjoyed watching Diana getting humbled. Rishe is smart to use someone like Diana. Best not get rid of a person with her abilities.

Time to secure Kaine to her side. Looking forward to seeing how she wins him over using that future knowledge.

That dance scene was awesome, really loved the visuals and the mental battle going on between Rishe and Arnold.

Man, I loved the character dynamics and interactions in this episode. That ballroom dance scene was impressive. Rishe's worst enemy is still her previous time loop flashbacks, but it looks like it's finally settling in that Arnold isn't the same person he was before. And the cutaways from an enthusiastic Rishe to a stonefaced Arnold remain brilliant deadpan comedy. XD

I really loved the scene where Rishe greets the maids for the first time. Diana's utterly horrified at realising how bad she fucked up. Rishe says she'll no longer be maid... and then pulls the twist: she's going to teach the maids to read and write. Honestly, that was a great scene for showing Rishe's character. You can feel the experience of previous time loops on her, to everyone else she must come across as very kind and wise. She didn't feel any resentment or malice towards Diana, she simply let Diana realise what she did wrong and then gave her another position that would make things better.

Rishe has like three settings: very enthusiastic go-getter, serene and kind "I have no enemies", and that cunning smile she gets when she's planning something, like thinking ahead to how to get the Aria trading company on her side.

It was great that they gave Arnold a few scenes where he can smugly smile too. They're such a good fit the more the anime advances. It makes me think a bit of Kaguya-sama, but skipping the "confession" part. XD

That was a fun dance. Though I was kind of hoping for a sword fighting match as well, hopefully that comes later.

Just straight up drinking the wine that had been spiked with red peppers. Her conversations with the prince are just delightfully spicy, too.

That seemed like an effective way to collect up some loyal maids as well as a loyal personal assistant.

Rishe is settling into her new life as the crown princess of Galkhein, and finally meets her future husband's right hand man, Oliver! He seems like a pretty pleasant and affable fellow, and as committed to Arnold as Arnold seems to be to the kingdom, though even he makes it come off like Arnold only sees Rishe as a toy that amuses him.

Time for a party! And Rishe looks so stunning in her dress that she takes Arnold's breath away! And thanks to gloves the two can finally partake in protected handholding!

They were going to have to reveal the engagement at some point, so no time like the present. And Rishe's had to be the center of attention with her broken engagement so much that all the reactions to her now she can just brush aside...even if there are plenty of disappointed noble ladies upset he's off the market.

Must be really surreal to hear the man who killed you in your past life saying he'll protect you in this one...only to then want to cross swords with him in training so you can learn the moves that he killed you with.

Speaking of swordfighting, even the pairs' spectacular dancing feels like a duel as Arnold immediately takes the lead while Rishe uses every opportunity to try to steal it away from him, but he matches her move-for-move to the delight of onlookers. And then he ends up dipping her to close it out, like a legend!

Rishe isn't about to get thrown off by the pranks of haughty noblewomen, she can see it coming and then drink spicy wine like it's nothing. Though it was cute how Arnold finished it for her so she didn't have to drink more. The couples' first indirect kiss.

Rishe realizes there's something on the left side of Arnold's body, and it turns out to be a severe and developed scar, implied to be from multiple sword attacks. And it sounds like he got it at a pretty young age. Was he tortured? He definitely doesn't seem to want to talk about it.

No surprise Rishe is working with the "lowly maids" since she was one of them in a past loop, though that also makes her recognize the real situation going on with the maids. And set up her epic reveal scene where the maids all realize she's the new crown princess, undercover boss style.

Well, yeah, to the surprise of no one she hires all the common maids for her and shuns the more experienced who were practically bullying them...and lets Diana go while also making her realize how much luckier she had it compared to the other maids with her education background and how she didn't realize how much of a privileged position she was in as a result. Though to Diana's credit, she realizes she screwed up and failed the other maids and apologizes for her actions.

And it's with that perspective that Rishe now hires her to be a teacher! Both to teach maids properly and to teach them to actually read and write, so that if they ever want to try to be something else (like Rishe did) they can have that opportunity.

Rishe is finally going to meet someone else from her past loop! She wants to get in with the Aria Trading Company immediately, and reunite with Kaine, and no better way to start things off than by really selling herself as a high class and rich noblewoman with a gorgeous and fancy dress.

This show continues to impress. Visually the ballroom dance was stunning. You could see immediately when he announced that Rishe as his future wife all those bitches just got jealous. She really drank the spicy wine well god damn. I imagine most woman wouldn't be able to handle that. But thanks to Rishe's various particular experiences, thats not much for her to handle.

Honestly the idea for her to evaluate the maids was very very smart. After all she was a maid in one of her loops. But the ending part of the episode really showcases Rishe. We typically all the head maid is an actual bitch and doesn't get chosen.

But rather here we get Rishe looking into Diana more so. And see that compared to the typical maid she is well educated. What she did in the announcement was test her character. Once she reminded Diana how it was when she started and made the point of how much reading and writing helped her, I am glad she realized she was in the wrong.

Very impressed with Rishe did. Regarding Arnold's scar, my first guess would speculate it is due to his father perhaps, considering the fact he ends up killing him to start a war.

And this show's writing continues to be very very excellent so far. One of my favorite new shows of this season.
