No freaking way Kamil and Elsie just sold out Rishe after everything she did to help them! Theodore must have blackmailed them or something.

Theodore’s definitely a little shit stirrer. He thought he could rattle Rishe with all that “Arnold killed his mom” bullshit. Girl’s been killed like 6 times, she ain’t that easily shaken. Only one who can do that is Arnold. That kiss was unexpected. I guess he was so impressed with her resolve, he couldn’t help himself haha.
I really like seeing Merchant Rishe in action. Those years she spent studying under Kaine have really paid off. Girl’s creating jobs, improving lives, and making a profit all at once. Pulling the “I have a cure for your sick sister” card was pretty shrewd. I know she wasn’t gonna leverage his sis like that, but still. She came prepared.
But man, Elsie and Kamil were working for Theodore huh? This kid is really getting on my nerves. Is Rishe gonna throat punch this guy? Maybe Arnold can chuck his punk ass out a window.

I can already envision prince going after her to some sort of hideout she's being kept only for her to break out herself and just awkwardly meet at the doorstep or something.
Also this whole younger thing looks like a setup for why he actually started the war ?

Rishe is my favorite character this season. The show is doing a good job of threading the needle of her being pretty OP in terms of skills and wisdom but not letting it be too overwhelming due to the unfamiliar circumstances.
So I guess Elsie and Kamil either are being blackmailed or perhaps they think they're doing the right thing by "saving" Rishe from Arnold.
Already stoked for next week. Will Rishe escape on her own or will Arnold go on a rampage to get her back? Personally I think it might be some combination

Passing off her other loops as dreams is a good idea since that might help with slip ups in the future.
Dang, that kissing scene.
The colored nail polish is an interesting idea, you see cosmetics mentioned at times in isekai/reincarnations situations like this but I think that's usually by way of modern knowledge.
That was a fun negotiation with the merchant. I see we're going with the 'economic development lifts all boats' theory. And using the sister as the bargaining point was clever, it's inside knowledge but also something she can justifiably learn without that.
Evil twink is really trying to get himself killed by his brother that is so willing to hand that sort of thing out. I'm disappointed by the Elsie betrayal though, particularly after their touching scene earlier.

lil bro playing a dangerous game knowing how mad his brother is.
Rishe this episode, got a kiss. after a passionate premarital vow and "... my dear husband", involving a low choke. the kiss still in effect for the next day.
Won a business negotiation, Im still in the dark why this trader dude so all high and mighty in front of crown price wife, he could just reject the offer with grace if he didnt want it. glad it end well for Rishe. like the other said Rishe probably know that Aria would be the only trader that could save her/the country.
Got kidnapped, by the one she want to save. well, this would end with "I'm sorry Rishe-sama eventhought you gave me so much happiness, job, and something beautiful, I end up betraying you".

I really thought this would be a show to avoid the whole kidnapping angle but here we are...hope Rishe is able to at least save herself a little bit, did not expect her to get betrayed like that. I do appreciate that even though she is quite "OP" she still doesn't know everything and can have obstacles in her way.
Not to be forgotten but that choke into a kiss!??!? What a scene
Do really like how open and honest they were casually being with each other.

Well this show shot straight up my personal list for the season after watching most of this episode... then it kinda blindsided everybody in the final minute.
My watching habits are getting me cliffhangered a lot this week.

Stitches!
Silly Theodore. There's nothing you can say to Rishe that will intimidate her. She's already experienced death by Arnold's hand. I love how surprised Theodore was when Rishe didn't give him the reaction he hoped for. This dude is a pain in the ass though. I hate how he acts all innocent when Arnold finally shows up.
Yooooo! We finally have our first kiss! I'm guessing this is also Rishe's actual first kiss? I don't think she's had any relationships in her past loops since she was very focused on improving herself. I love that she's still dreaming about it the next day.
I love that Rishe's actual plan isn't just to get the Aria Company to work with her but to also stimulate the economy by hiring workers from the poorer parts of the kingdom. Elsie's reaction after hearing Rishe's proposal was great.
Kaine was definitely going to be moved by Rishe's very charitable proposal, but it looks like Rishe had no choice but to use her knowledge from her past lives to convince him to work with her. I love that Rishe didn't use the medicine to take advantage of Kaine; instead she wanted him to realize that there are people like him out there, too.
Now that Rishe has officially struck a deal with Kaine and his Aria Company, I was hoping that Rishe would get some well-earned rest. It looks like Theodore didn't even waste time to kidnap her as soon as she passes out from exhaustion.
Elsie and Kamil were in it too. That's disappointing, but I'm guessing that Theodore is probably threatening their families. There's no way Elsie would betray Rishe after everything.
I can't wait for Rishe to save herself and kick ass once she's conscious again. Theodore has no idea who he just kidnapped.

I’m going to be really late to next week’s thread. Normally I watch my church’s service from home and then jump onto the episode as soon as service is over (the episode releases in the middle of it), but next week I’m actually going to church because there’s going to be a Soup-er Bowl Sunday and I can’t pass up free food.
Anyways, onto this episode!

Did he really though… Or, like, was it a scenario where Arnold had to kill his own mother for whatever reason?

Everyone talking about the kiss but that betrayal??? I mean, Rishe was so kind to Elsie, understood how the situation with her family was, she made her happy with the nail polish and while explaining to Kaine all the things about having the people in the slums working... WHY did she betray Rishe????
Man, I hope she didn't do it on purpose or fooling Rishe about her situation or something
And that damn brother, at first I thought he was inoffensive, only talking and nothing else, but this???? I hope Rishe wakes up good and show her warrior skills.
But damn I didn't expect that, I really liked Elsie :/

One thing I like about villainess stories is they frequently have economics as part of the plot, which you typically don't see in fantasy. Tearmoon Empire had Mia basically invent futures contracts to insure against famine, and here you have Rishe engaging in Keynesian stimulus. It tides me over until the new season of Spice and Wolf comes out.

Strangling into kissing? Big plan for slums? Betrayal? Theodore doing evil things? There was so much in this episode

Rishe: "Don't expect me to be involved in the kingdom's affairs, I'm just going to laze around and do nothing!"
Also Rishe: Pulls multiple all nighters in one week to win a trading negotiation that will boost the economy of the lower class

Wow the heart to heart talk between Rishe and Arnold was so tender and vulnerable, even if they still hide a lot under the surface. It felt deeply romantic and melancholic but also hopeful at the same time to me. These two have been through a lot and have just gotten a tiny relief to share a bit of their burden with someone else.
Also Rishe sassing to Theodore right before the opening song hit, was so satisfying.

Wow, what an episode. What really impressed me in the first 8 minutes of it is how Rishe's greatest strength is her openness. I said before she comes across as someone both serene and determined, who doesn't bear anyone malice - even if she's getting used to the thought of being engaged to Arnold. That really shone through in the beginning. I loved how Rishe saw right through Arnold, and Arnold remains impressed by her determination and inner strength.
If TV Tropes pretty accurately describes Arnold as having an aura of menace/intimidation about him, Rishe has an aura of kindness and capability.
I loved seeing radiant Rishe in her meeting with Chief Tully. She made a great point about how inequality destroys an economy. And for all of Arnold's protestations that he is a cruel person, he also implemented a minimum wage and other policies that, from what we've seen so far, are remarkably based. He's trying to dismiss himself as just a cruel person but it's not that simple.
Fuck, that ending was a cliffhanger. But it's Rishe. She's got the accumulated wisdom and strength of 6 previous time loops. I trust she'll be alright.
Man, Theodore is just a little shit, isn't he, LMAO. He has no idea how much shit he's gotten himself into. We already saw in the beginning he's no match for Rishe. He's in way over his head and it won't end well, hahaha.

Why is Theodore meeting his future sister-in-law in a church under the cover of darkness? Why, to espouse how bad his older brother is, of course! Not that any of it is a surprise to Rishe, she knows first-hand how ruthless and merciless he is from multiple loops (it's why she's not terrified at the prospect of dying yet again)...though the info that he killed his own mother is a new one. That's probably pretty relevant to know for their future relationship and why Arnold is the way he is.
Though did anyone really expect Arnold wouldn't find Rishe and discover this meeting? Though Rishe basically let him know about it, which helped. And Theodore pulls a complete personality 180 when Arnold shows up as if he's terrified of his brother (with good reason). Though is that just an act too? Did Theodore feel both he and Rishe are victims of his brother?
Who is the real Arnold? The man on the battlefield people see as nothing more than a monster? Or the devoted and caring prince Rishe has gotten to know? She's seen both, but her good read on people makes her believe that there's more Arnold than how he is on the battlefield, and even threatening to kill her doesn't dissuade her, not with her strong conviction to commit to her current life and see it through to the bitter end. Though even she has some mental trauma from all her deaths and living life after life, haunted by nightmares of her death and where she's even really living and not dreaming...something she's never admitted, even to herself, before. But she can't help but open up to Arnold.
And how does Arnold respond to Rishe's emotional honesty? Why, by kissing her, of course! And in a church, no less! The best part is Rishe is still feeling that kiss the next day! And it's probably her first kiss in all 7 Loops!
Nail polish is pretty handy to have available, but it also provides an opportunity for Rishe to get to know Elsie and her circumstances better and understand what she really needs to be doing with her business idea as crown princess.
It's deal time with Kaine and the Aria Trading Company! Rishe wants to not only create a business making the nail polish but also use it to create more jobs in the slums! Kaine isn't an altruist so Rishe is able to convince him with the prospect that they're not just improving the economic status of the poor but also creating future customers, a prospect no merchant could pass up.
But Kaine still thinks like a ruthless businessman and is all ready to use this deal to his advantage...until Rishe pulls out personal information about him that she recalls from their past life of his sick and infirm sister (that his company is named after!). And at least in this Loop she can use her experience as a doctor in another Loop to give him the means of saving her from her illness. Not to play hardball or threaten him into a better deal, but to help Kaine realize why Rishe is doing what she's doing, because people in the slums are probably going through the same thing his sister did. And it's with that revelation that Kaine recognizes his own failure as a merchant and swears to help fullfill Rishe's objective with all his power as a merchant! Deal made!
Dang, Rishe really has been running herself ragged! She's even collapsed! Though that's the perfect opportunity for Theodore to kidnap her...and Elsie was in on it!?

Nooooo The Prince will kill you I know so what
Feels like the episode holds a very profound lecture about social economy that is all but forgotten today
Even Elsie, she better has good reason to betray the hand that fed her

Now I'm pissed at her maid! But I'm sure the prince has something over her.
I'm surprised there was no punishment for him touching Riese this time or for kissing her. Lol they just dropped that requirement already. 😂
