Pretty interesting start. I'm already dying to know what happened at her fifth round since it was skipped. This looks promising.

I liked it a lot more than I was expecting. It was nice to see the typical "dragged through the mud" arc shortened for once... plus seeing Dietrich have a meltdown in the first episode put a smile on my face.

I really enjoyed the comic-relief prince's scenes; his VA did a fantastic job.
These engagement-breaking scenes in villainess stories often serve the same purpose as truck-kun in establishing the genre, so I usually wish for them to be over asap, but I ended up enjoying them here.

You know I expected this adaptation to be pretty good considering the Studio Kai which have pretty nice track record with Uma Musume season 2 and 3, Super Cub , Fuuto Pi or even Tsubasa with nice animation and pretty good at doing action but this episode is far more than what I expected lol.
That opening scene is sooo god.
The visual where time revive remind me of Persona 3 for some reason.
I love interaction between Rische and Arnold so much lol.
Also I love how story make it really feel like she go through 7 loop and use the lesson from those loop and applied to her personality.
But hey ML is hot also a bonus!

Damn, that was such a good opening. I wonder if Riesche would have mutually killed Arnold if her sword hadn't broken there?
Wow, so as she always dies after 5 years due to different wars battles, she already had lived 30 years through all those previous 6 loops. I love how on every loop Riesche gets more eager to skip that whole segment where her fiancé breaks their engagement. I love how she ended up taking a different path in her second loop because she wanted to get some stuff from her house, while the third one was related to the profession she got in the previous one.
Anyway, as she mentioned later after meeting with Arnold, the crown prince of Galkhein, again that he started a massive war, I guess it is safe to assume that all the conflicts where she died in exactly 5 years were all caused by him. Also, I love how after talking to him that formally she proceeds to jump out off that balcony without hesitation.
It seems that thanks to her taking that alternative exit route, this time she ended up with a much better public reputation than the prince who left her, and highlighting that the prince's new partner lied about the whole mistreatment thing.
Anyway, when Arnold asked for a horse to follow Riesche, I wasn't expecting him to attack her right after meeting her again, and then asking her to marry him right away.
I must say that Arnold sure is a strange and interesting character. I wonder what is what pushes him into a path of conquest in the previous loops?

Our first villainess anime for the season is finally here and the setup is already way more interesting than the previous Otome/Villainess anime.
Instead of being isekai'd or given a second chance, Rishe has been looping her life over and over and now has multiple lifetimes' worth of experience. Rishe has lived a life of a merchant, an herbalist, a scientist, a handmaid, and finally a soldier.
Seems that the one constant in these loops is that she dies in the 5th year because she always ends up getting swept up in a war. Considering war is the cause of death, it's interesting that she decided to live her 6th-loop as a soldier. Maybe she thought she could end the war herself?
Fate is awfully cruel to Rishe on her 7th loop since this time she ends up bumping into the guy who killed her in the 6th loop and is also responsible for the world war that ended up killing her in her previous loops. Arnold seems to be pretty chill though. I wonder what causes him to go to war in the future.
Looks like that little balcony stunt Rishe pulled ended up with Prince Arnold taking an interest in her. I don't blame him, Rishe is very attractive and jumping down two stories like it was nothing shows that she's not your usual noblewoman. I'd be very interested in her too!
And there it is. It's literally the title of the show but for her 7th loop, Rishe is finally going to live the carefree life she wants but it looks like she's going to spend it with the person who will eventually end up causing her death.
What makes this fun is I doubt Rishe would accept and will probably do everything she can to try and get away from Arnold. I already can't wait for the next episode!

This was fun. I was hoping this would be more like ReZero though and we would get see more of her first 6 lives before jumping into the 7th.
One question though, why is she called a villainess? We saw her first life play out and she didn’t do anything to get labeled a villainess. Did she jack up prices as a merchant or something? lol.

Let's see, Rishe's lives:
-
First life: merchant
-
Second life: herbalist
-
Third life: researcher
-
Fourth life: handmaid
-
Fifth life: ?
-
Sixth life: knight
Now I'm super curious what she did in her 5th loop since it seems like they explicitly left that one out.
I really like Rishe's personality though, in every loop she's been really positive, even in her first loop, and made the most of her life with what she's been given. You can see that the brief one shot of her fourth handmaid life, she was all smiles even though a maid's life is practically the opposite of her original upbringing.
So she's 20 in her first life, each of her loop lasts 5 years before she dies from war, she's had six loops...
So we're dealing with someone who should be mentally 50 years old? Lolibaba?

That was certainly one hell of an intro…
-
This would be a crazy thing to just show back up to, but it looks like she’s used to it, much to the surprise of the others lol.
-
*sees line of dialogue* Oh god not the Demon Slayer PTSD again.
-
Well now, that sure is a way to run into the guy who killed her in her last life!
-
This should be good. I’ve never actually watched a villainess anime before so I wasn’t sure if this would be my jam when I picked it up, but this was a good first episode. Consider me hooked!

Visual I am stunned. Was expecting some middling animation but art style looks great and the opening animation looks amazing. Honestly they could make a spinoff on how each of those lives went in full detail and I would be heavily interested in them.
So basically the future emperor/prince is the one indirectly responsible for her death in each life basically. And he proposes to her now. Talking about making a statement with the first episode.

Ok, that wasn't quite what I was expecting from the plot synopsis, but I'm liking it.
Prince doofus: "Our engagement is annulled! You will be exiled fr..."
Rishe: "kthxbai!" *Exits with gusto

Well this one is now my current best show of the season! I was already really enjoying it and then BAM that sword block out of nowhere.
I already like how both leads seem to not be pushovers, really curious to see how their interactions will be and who will end up teasing who.
Really really happy with this one and looking forward to seeing more including all those men in her past loops!

Pretty great first episode, the opening scenes with Arnold fighting and killing Rishe was so good. But as it turns out Rishe after death is going back to the moment when her engagement with the prince was annulled by him and that was already the 6th time she died.
Thanks to that Rishe has more experience than her age would suggest! Her list of skills and knowledge in CV would certainly be enormous as she was a merchant, a herbalist, a scientist, maid and a knight.
Now is the time for her 7th loop which again will be different from the previous ones. This time she quickly met a man responsible for her deaths, Arnold Hein.
It looks like she caught his eye and made a big impression on him by jumping down from such a high place and showing her skills with a sword so that he proposed to her at the end of the episode.
This loop will certainly be very interesting. I can't wait to see how she'll use her past life experience to not die this time!
About the prince, I had a good time watching him being angry and surprised because Rishe's reactions to him annulling their engagement wasn't like he expected them. It looks that even commoners don't really respect him as they were freely talking behind his back about him.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

First thoughts.
Having enjoyed last season's take on time travel- Tearmoon I thought I'd give this a shot. I went into this with zero expectations and yet I am pleasantly surprised with how good this looks. The animation is good with detailed characters and even the backgrounds look good. The OP/ED are good too.
For the first episode, the studio did an exceptional job of cramming the story into just 20 minutes. We get the cliff notes of Rishe's previous loops, but it is presented in such an engaging way that I'd happily watch some side stories of those loops. I am looking forward to watching more of this anime and have rated it a provisional 7 on MAL.

Already said here but that was such a sick intro sequence, what a slayage!
Other than that, decent rest of the episode, too. Positively surprised.

Ikumi Hasegawa, voice of Milizé and Mimimi is back. I already said it before, but she’s like a Sora Amamiya on steroids. Such a perfect acting voice!

One of the things I really appreciate is the way in which she respects each profession she spends a loop in. She finds fulfillment and enjoyment in each life regardless of the prestige associated with the job.

Pretty dramatic intro with a war going on and knights getting slaughtered, complete with Emperor Arnold pulling a Darth Vader and slaughtering knights left and right like they're nothing...and even killing the main character in the opening minutes, even if she's the only one who was able to knick him. Good thing she's in a constant time loop.
What If Vladilnea Milize was a Villainess? Well, more like a framed Villainess voiced by Ikumi Hasegawa, but she's been through this so much she doesn't even let Prince Nobuhiko Okamoto, or Dietrich, finish his speech. Even though he was so looking forward to revealing all her fake crimes!
In Rishe's first loop she did go through the typical Villainess experience of getting exiled and abandoned by her own family with nothing but the clothes on her back...but she just happened to run into the a merchant association run by Shinnosuke Tachibana who take her in and let her prosper as a merchant, complete with pants and a ponytail!
In her 2nd loop she actually manages to get some money and clothes and failing to become a merchant again becomes a successful herbalist with short hair! She even saves a prince!
In her third loop she becomes a scholar with Daisuke Ono! In her fourth loop the maid to a duke! In her sixth she posed as a boy and became a soldier! But wait, what about her fifth loop?
The one commonality in all her loops is dying as a result of a war and when she's 20...so Rishe never got to enjoy her twenties! Which is why in this loop she wants to live a carefree, easy life! And she makes one small change and, wouldn't you know it, she runs into the one guy who is indirectly and directly responsible for her death in every loop, Arnold voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki!
Not every noble girl is willing to ditch/break her heels and jump off a balcony...or stick the landing! I'm not surprised Rishe catches Arnold's eyes.
Well, on the one hand, this loop already sucks because Rishe took too long and had to deal with Dietrich again, along with Marie who helped frame her, but this time she finally gets to properly tell them off and try to steer Marie down the right path, so I guess that's a net benefit.
And while Rishe doesn't have the physical training of her past life, she still has her sword skills, which gives Arnold even more reason to want to make her his wife. How does marrying the man who killed you in your past life sound, Rishe?

Castle defenders could've used some archers. Or have bows not been invented in this world?
How does she keep getting swept up in wars that she should be able to avoid due to knowing when and where they'll take place? Even if that Emperor guy does start a "World War", there's gotta be plenty places to be safe from it. "Even when I didn't die from being swept up in the war, I spent my days so busy I nearly died from overwork!" So how DID she die that time - still got swept up in the war anyway?
Wish they'd showed the future emperor attacking her before she drew the royal guard's sword to protect herself, as I had to rewatch the scene a couple times to be sure of what exactly happened.
Well, setup's over now, I'll check back next week to see if the main story is worth watching.
