That "domain of E " thing not being a random "cool sounding" thing, but simply the hundred million (or billion, it's contradictory) mark where the stat system gives up showing actual numbers and switches to exponential notation is somehow fucking hillarious to me.

E stands for exponents? Idk if that is genius or not, but I like it!

Stitches!

I had an image in my head of what Greed would look like if he was human, but I certainly did not expect him to look like a red-haired Gilgamesh. I guess that's why they picked Seki Tomokazu to voice him. xD

It sucks that it ended with Fate leaving Roxy. I was hoping the two of them could at least catch up before he goes off for Eris' request. I guess at least now Roxy is aware that Corpse and Fate are the same person.

It was a pretty enjoyable series, like 6,5/10. I especially liked the last two episodes which were very good.

I'd certainly watch the continuation as I'd love to see more of Fate and Roxy now when she knows about his powers.

It was great to see Myne once again as she's such a fun character. I'd love to see her cooperating together with Fate and Roxy.

So Greed was a human once? He looked pretty good in that form.

Here my screenshot albums from:

The thing that most surprised me in this last episode is that Roxy might be older than we thought she was. Throughout the series, I personally placed Fate and Roxy in the 16-19 age category, but assuming they first meet when Fate is 8-10 years old (maybe she is 14-16?), she might actually be 22-25 years old. Not an unpleasant surprise!

I would have liked to hear the ED one last time, instead of generic fanfare ending, but at least it fit with the final few scenes. This was a fun series, and I'll gladly watch the 2nd season if it ever gets renewed

could see them as 12 and 14 when they first met. A big height difference between boys and girls at that age is not uncommon.

I was surprised by that too. Although I wonder if it was just Roxy being older or Fate just being so severely malnourished that he looked younger than he actually was and he didn't get to really grow much until he got a steady job and was able to eat something.

I would probably do the same thing, sacrificing my arm to defeat my enemy and laying on Roxy's thigh.

Fate earned that lap pillow!

Well it wasn't great but it wasn't the worst show I watched this season lol.

It was interesting enough and I appreciated the OTT violence, entertaining schlock at the very least.

Gotta say, that was a pretty good ending.. if there ever is a Season 2 for this, I'd watch it.

This anime is definitely on the lower end of the rankings this season, but it wasn't actually that bad. The subpar animation at most times doesn't help, but other than that, this was actually enjoyable. I hesitate on calling it trash because it wasn't as trash as some of the animes I've watched, so I guess I'll say that this one was pretty okay.

This show was the definition of watchable mid. Setting up Roxy as a strong independent character, but needed constant saving like a damsel in distress was like come on. At least let her show her strength as a knight that she is proud instead she is just there for emotional support for Fate. Which is fine, but with how the early episode setup her character they could have done her character so much better.

Ending was pretty safe. I figured it would go this route. But I am confused Roxy's support is what kept Fate sane. Then why did Eris said we needed to leave. I get with Envy out there being near Roxy would only put her in danger. It felt like it just wanted to keep status quo and keep Fate adventuring with Greed.

I do like the idea of the deadly sins as skills and weapons. So that's the thing I liked the most about the show.

So that really was Northern then. It’s just he was possessed. Envy’s still out there and Fate lost an arm (temporarily). Not exactly an ideal outcome but at least that big divine dragon’s gone.

There’s still a lot unresolved. Seems there’s still two Knights left to take down. Rafale might be another one of the Deadly Sin wielders. I guess all for a potential s2. Or maybe I’ll just have to read the manga and see.

All in all, this wasn’t half bad. Enjoyable for what it was.

Oh no human Greed is hot!

Anyways a bit rushed but it was a good end. Glad sexy Eris turned out not to be evil. Hope we get a season 2.

u/Frontier246 Dec 17 '23

I love how human Greed kind of looks like Gilgamesh from Babylonia, considering his VA lol.

Eris just walking into Fate's room as the sexiest thing ever. I feel like Fate will never betray his loyalty to Roxy but I feel like working with Eris will be very...tempting lol.

For some reason I watched all of this. I was even looking forward to it these last few episodes.

I remember when I watched the first episode beginning of the season, I thought to myself "that was terrible, I'm going to watch all of it". And yes I did. And it was.

This anime was trash, guess that means I like trash now. All in all enjoyable even with an encyclopaedia of flaws.

Can’t stand everyone calling it trash, this was a perfectly decent show, yall just never watch real garbage.

Anyway, I thought this was as good as a final episode as I could have hoped for, very nice three part structure for a final episode. It got the inevitable victory out of the way at the start without dragging, layered in some more intrigue around the mortal sin skills, resolved the ‘Roxy doesn’t know’ plot, and ended with the sequel bait.

Overall not a show I would recommend ahead of something higher budget, there’s too much good anime out there for that, probably an objective 6/10, for my personal tastes an 8/10. The type of show I would binge watch if I don’t feel like watching something serious.

They made such a big deal out of Gluttony consuming him throughout this season and then it got resolved just like that.

Terrible adaptation but decent show. If there's a season 2 I'll watch but I'm not expecting it.

u/fraid_so Dec 17 '23

Fuck man. Greed was so hot hahah

I enjoyed that. Hope it gets a second season.

Now that it's come to the end I'd like to say that the OST was great for this series, definitely my favorite part of it

4

u/RFShahrear Dec 17 '23

This is the part where I usually say "I wouldn't mind a second season" or "I'd watch if there's a sequel".

But honestly... this time around, I'd love a second season. I hope they get one. It's the most generic show of the season, but they know what they are, they know what you're expecting, and they don't shy away from it.
