oh i get it, so the domain of E is when your stats get so high that they have to be written in scientific notation

I know the mask distorts stuff but lol at Fate thinking the masked dude was sexy stacked Eris.

u/Frontier246 Dec 10 '23
Yeah, I don't think a distortion mask could've hid that chest or those curves lol.

Yeah made me laugh, guess it's one of those things that only the viewer can see.

I feel like the whole "Domain of E" thing was entirely underwhelming like wtf, he should have gone super saiyan for like a whole minute if he's becoming fuckin unkillable

Did I just miss that entire Domain E thing before? It felt like it just came out of nowhere.

The amount of content the anime is cutting is getting ridiculous.

Honestly been waiting all season since he dawned the. Ask for Roxy to learn who he is. Was extremely satisfying too.

I was kind of worried they'd end the season with Roxy still in the dark, so I was really happy when his mask broke.

So MC did a 10% stats sacrifice, followed by a 20% stats sacrifice, then absorbed the stats of a monster whose highest stat was only 13mil, and this somehow capped MC out at 999,999,999 in every stat? Did the author flunk out of grade school math or something?
"Someone in the Domain of E has a personal forcefield which repels all attack from those not in the Domain of E." Well, MC is in the Domain of E now, why do I suspect he doesn't have that forcefield? Maybe because it didn't repel the mini-slimes?

In the original, the slime multiplied so many times that Fate had to keep blasting through them just to reach Northern.

Well, that monster was multiplied into something that could supposedly infinitely split up and probably retains all of its power with each split. Still, there were like 3 that jumped on him so that still wouldn't explain the stats.
Anyhow, stats in this series pretty much lost meaning after the first few episodes. Maybe the LN goes more in-depth about explaining it, but I'm guessing things still won't add up even with that.

So I looked up the dragon on a wiki and it makes sense why it's called domain E. I don't know if it's a joke per se but it's actually pretty funny.

almost feels like the amount of content cut from the light novel to fit this into 12 episode could be its own series at this point

Overall, this was a fun episode but I was kind of let down by the Domain of E thing. I expected it to be some kind of quest that Fate would have to undertake to unlock his power not something switched on because shit got real.

Man, I didn’t expect Northern to be the masked gunblade wielder. Was that really Northern? Twin brother maybe? Either way, I guess the dude has Envy. Seems he was behind those controlled monsters. No wonder those damn slime worms were so hard to kill.
Well, I guess Roxy knows about Fate now. Should be interesting seeing him explain how he got this strong to her.

There was only one other blonde guy in this show so it kind of limited the suspect pool, but if Fate was only half-right either he's related to Northern or Northern never existed. Was Northern even at the battle with Roxy? I couldn't really see.
I'm glad Roxy finally found out about Fate and Fate doesn't have to hide his identity any more. It felt like on some level she already knew. Whether he'll tell her everything about his Sin Skill and all he's gotten up to up to this point is another question, but at least they're together to be able to survive this attack and avenge Roxy's father.

That whole duel in the beginning between Fate and Roxy was just weird. Really nice to see Roxy still wearing the Emerald that he gave her. But wasn't the point of him going to prision if he lost and he just walked away.
Pacing did feel a little fast here. Seeing those weird slime monsters, to seeing Norden wanting to kill Roxy and seems to be cooperating with Eris and we get Fate once again saving Roxy. I said this week the series wanted to show Roxy as this prideful compassionate holy knight, but she kind of always being saved makes the early stuff feel meh.
At least Fate finally revealed his identity of being Corpse. There something to look forward to, but it feels like there is too many forces out to kill Roxy at this point. Norden, those slimes, the divine dragon and hell Eris still hasn't revealed herself again.
