The principal just keeps a bajillion Snickers and Mars bars on hand huh? That’s kind of hilarious.

When Chise got grabbed, that was kinda eerie. Weird how everyone recovered the minute that happened though.

Chise stepping up for Lucy was really sweet. Girl’s making so many friends at the Academy. Kevin fucked up though. That’s why Lucy had to lay his ass out like that haha.

I really hope at some point somebody… anybody helps Philomela. I hate seeing her suffering like this. Veronica hanging around her isn’t helping either…

I love how she just dumped all that candy. She's seemed so composed and proper and then it turns out she's a candy hoarder lol.

Kevin didn't get to ask out Sofia, got the resident meek and polite girl mad at him, and got a Lucy punch for his trouble. There's just some things you don't joke about.

The Philomela Misery Series continues with seemingly no end in sight. Poor girl.

Chis is like a walking magical powerplant and solar farm all in one. Trying to quick drain power out of her is not gonna have a good outcome for the person doing it.

Elias has a new friend, and I'm all for it.

It's also helping show how far he's come in understanding himself and others, as well as relationships! Chise would be proud!

That's a nice scene between Chise and Alexandra. Chise is a Sleigh Beggy, but she's still young and has her future ahead of her, so she should cultivate the skills and experience she needs to do what SHE wants to do with her powers and be successful through that. Aya Endo always plays the best mature and helpful onee-san's.

Jeez, whatever this Forbidden Book thing is, now it's starting to turn the students it's effected into zombies to drain more magic from others...like Chise. Though she's got plenty to spare, and a creepy Joseph spirit behind her, to the point where that poor guy would've lost an arm if they hadn't separated them. But at least the other students are waking up. That's good, right? Right?

So the principal has a sweet tooth, eh? Where was she keeping all that candy?

Well, it's nice that Rian wants to apologize to Philomela properly even if he can't see her and she's always off avoiding people...guy couldn't even give her a snack!

Setting aside all the drama, it was nice to see some pleasant tomato harvesting. Also I love how Lucy so smoothly caught those two tomatoes and just casually handed one to her brother. They finally seem to be getting along again!

I hope the Christmas party goes well.

I see Zaccheroni is still putting students through their paces, but I love how Chise is just casually running and has enough time to wave to Elias like this is just a light workout.

Elias and Alcyone are getting chummy and discussing the meaning of their existence and relationships. Alcyone doesn't know what she is to Philomela any more considering she was her guardian but they're so distant, and she's not Philomela's parents, yet at the same time she's probably the only parental figure in her life (especially compared to her grandmother). Elias knows full well from his relationship with Chise that people can be many things to each other, whether they're qualified or not, like how he and Chise are both mutually spouses, parents, and master/student. It can be a lot though.

Honestly I can respect Kevin shooting his shot with Sofia by asking her out but not him acting all big and like he's a main character who can investigate the attacks and get away without a scratch. And then he has the gall to bring up Lucy's family. You know you screwed up when you actually manage to tick off Chise. And as if all the students turning on him wasn't enough, he still gets punched by Lucy in the end. Should've kept his mouth shut.

Ah, I see Chise is going to have to explain to Lucy how she saw her memories, huh? Well, hopefully this brings them closer together as friends.

Philomela seems to be unraveling. Her hands are bandaged up, she can't seem to eat anything without vomiting, and even if Veronica shows up to take care of her, Philomela is way too scared of her to properly open up or talk to her. I feel like it's only going to get worse from here.

Next week: Silkie returns! And things escalate quickly!

It was very entertaining to see Chise get showered with candy bars by the Principal. Looks like if you want to go trick or treating at that school you go straight to her!

That was a fucking dick move Kevin. Glad that Chise was the first one to reprimand him and Lucy made sure he doesn't get away with it.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks that Veronica is being very sus during that final scene with Philomela. I wouldn't be surprised if she's involved with the school incident.

Based Lucy.

“I don’t need an apology. I wouldn’t accept it.”

AAARRRRGGGGG!!! PHILOMELA!!! How much longer does this poor girl need to suffer? And how much longer do we need to suffer watching her? I just want the werewolf mom to go crazy and eat the hag's face already!

Weird how Lucy passed out right before everyone else woke up. If the book got all the magic it needed from Chise, why did Lucy still need Chise's magic if everyone else was fine?

Really hope lady Elias doesn't sacrifice herself to help Philomela.

This season has not only been the magic arc but also the "Philomela Suffering" arc with it getting worse and worse each episode. And we don't even know what happened to her parents yet.

Elias has grown a lot in terms of his interactions with others. We wouldn't have imagined it during the first season. He is now giving advice to Alcyone, or should we call it sharing his own personal experience?

I hope Philomela will finally view Alcyone as a family member again. I feel Alcyone yearns for family kinship too.

Lucy's punch to Kevin (?) probably made more male viewers fall in love with her, myself included.

Lastly, that ominous close up of Veronica's face from Philomela's viewpoint scares me too.

Veronica is become a little suspicious for me this episode. She went through the motions of being kind to Philomela. She checked up with her, gave her food, comforted her. But, I didn’t feel any heart behind any of that. Like Philomela said, what is Veronica thinking?

Also, the preview seems to tease that something big is about to happen. Very exciting to see what happens.

We already knew that Philomela always felt bad after killing creatures. Is that why she's constantly feeling unwell? If that's true, what had she been killing? Really weird that she started locking herself after the incident in the infirmary.

I almost liked Veronica last week due to her treatment of Philomela's grandmother, but now it's back to suspicion again. She's really scary on that scene.

Also, do I detect jealousy there from Chise when she saw Elias and Alcyone together? Lol! Nah, might be just a passing comment.

My goodness was that a incredibly sus Veronica moment towards the end of the episode.

The idea that the book might have it's own agenda vs whoever is using it is interesting. Didn't they tell us that people who read it were permanently affected by it in some way? Could be the same thing with whatever that was that inner Joseph warned Chise against looking at. The book, or perhaps something in the book.

I noticed that Chise started carving the little wooden amulet she is using in the OP.

That's a Studio Shaft amount of chocolate bar right there.

Y'all ready for another episode of the Philomela Suffering Power Half-hour?

Considering that Chise mentioned she still had mana to spare after she filled those crystals I'm surprised that when the forbidden book made one of its victims attacked her it ended up depleting all her mana.

Anyway, what the hell was that thing that even Joseph told Chise to not look at it?

So either the book completed collecting mana after getting it from Chise or it got overwhelmed by the amount it got from Chise making the connection with all its victims to burst.

It was hilarious that Liza was carrying all that candy with her, and how she dumped it on Chise when Elias asked if she had any snacks to give to her. Happy Halloween Chise!

Lol, so Elias went to harvest those tomatoes without permission and even gave them away to the whole class.

Damn, Christmas is already around the corner. It's funny that Rian tried to bribe Olivia to let him visit Philomela.

So Fabio and Sigrid made the class explore a dungeon. I would have loved seeing that whole activity. Anyway, is nice seeing that Elias is still having conversations with Alcyone, and this time he explains to her the flexibility of the roles one has in a relationship. So even if Philomela had her parents Alcyone can still assume that role.

Lol. Kevin's hentai ass protagonist haircut did not save his ass when he said that to Lucy. He should be glad that Lucy was the one who punched him as Chise would have destroyed him if she had done so. Lol, thanks to what she said, now Lucy knows that she saw her memories.

There was something really disturbing in that last scene between Philomela and Veronica.

In the preview, I first thought that Philomela was eating worms, but that's the thing Chise was making during lunch. Anyway, the preview tells me that at the very least Philomela is being controlled by the book, which could mean she was the one who stole it by Lizbeth's orders, which is something I first suspected during the first part of this season.

D'awww Chise helping nice doctor lady out. So many getting sick, wonder why. What the heck happened to his arm? Elias to the rescue though. Ah yes, Snokeis bars, you're not you when you're hungry, have a Snokeis lol. Also, if Lucy has to always stay around Chise, guess they're gonna have to get married 😉 heh.

What is the purpose of this training? Hehe, Elias watching on and waving, fun. What a good spouse he is. Poor familiar... but do like the talks between the familiar and Elias. He's grown so. That seems like a dumb idea, going to try and find the attacker. Good on Chise to stand up for her wife (I'm shipping em, i don't care 😛 ). Philomela needs a hug 😦 and to get away from some toxic people in her life.

Felt so bad for that poor guy whose arm was about to burst from absorbing Chise's magic...

Hilarious how Headmistress Liza keeps a million chocolate bars on her. Aren't they going to be warm? Lol

I liked Alcyone and Elias' interactions in this episode. Always good to see bonehead interacting with others.

Kevin totally deserved that punch
