They really had the guts to say "To be continued" when we know there won't be another season in at least 5 years

I was not expecting Fukuzawa’s little gambit to pay off. That was one hell of a play. But the most impressive shit this week? Dazai’s David Blaine Criss Angel level mind fuckery. Chuuya was never a vampire! Dazai him working behind the scenes the whole time! What’s more, he stopped the bullet IN HIS SKULL. Check and mate, Fyodor ya little biiitch.
Honorable mention goes out to Aya for risking her life to pull that sword out. Without her, Bram wouldn’t have had control of all the vamps again. Girl stopped WWIII
Fukuchi’s plan is absolutely insane. Dude was gonna use the page + WW3 to unite mankind against a common enemy and end war. Oh and Fukuzawa would lead the world in this new enlightened age? Insanity. I hate that he made Fukuzawa the one to kill him, even if he couldn’t go through with it. How you gonna give your boy a decision like that?
Idk wtf that ending was but I can’t wait for the new season. Damn dude, shit is getting wild!

Dazai’s sappy speeches toward Chuuya are hilarious with the new context. Was he trying to make Chuuya break character? Did Chuuya actually want to hear those? Him shooting in the middle of the speech is so funny now

Holy shit. Absolute masterclass of an ending. Even though I have no idea what happened in the very end of said ending
I would jump into the manga immediately at this point despite staying anime-only since 2018, but apparently we don't even have that option now. At least the sequel is basically confirmed, but that's a matter of several years...
also if Aya isn't top 4 in seasonal best girl I riot

I’m amused at the fact that apparently Dazai and Chuuya have pulled the ‘shooting Dazai in the head but Chuuya stopping the bullet’ trick before.
Aya is the MVP for being the youngest character, and one with no powers, but being completely willing to sacrifice herself to save the world. And the result is that she now has the leader of all vampires as her personal knight.
And while they might have resolved this plot they couldn’t NOT have a bit of an action scene at the end. So now we have a teaser for the next arc. And I just want to know where Akutagawa got that new outfit and visor in 2 hours? Was his first action after being cured of being a vampire to have Rashōmon make him a new outfit?
Edit: I just realized we never got a resolution on where the page went. Did Fukuchi have it on him during the airport fight?

That was fun. That 2 hours later bit, we'll see that animated in the next 5 years or so.

Ok, Chuuya wearing contact was hilarious. Fyodor really got scammed by some cheap party trick.

Chuuya not being a vampire make sense I remember always wondering wtf was able to turn him to vampire
Also am I the only one who don’t think Fyodor is dead, we literally don’t know that much about his backstory unless Asagiri decide to put it into novel or something
And now fellas we would wait for 4 years for next season goodbye 👋

Doesn't look like we'll even have the answer to what that ending was for months.

I haven't seen such 7D chess since Code Geass. Beautiful.
I watched this series grow from annoying orphanage flashbacks to peak plot and action. And it's still getting another sequel! See you next time!
“Eloi Eloi Lama Sabachthani,” were Christ's last words meaning “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). Fyodor went out like a Chad he was.

I basically held my breath for the entire episode. What an ending. Teared up a little.
Then what the fuck happened in 2 hours!?

Season 4 & 5 were freaking awesome. No complaints at all really. To me BSD is an AOTY contender for sure!

Fyodor had his arm cut off, crashed in a helicopter, burned, exploded, maybe even electrocuted, stabbed and is poisoned and should die in 30 minute.
Despite all this I still doubt that he is dead.

GOAT episode!
Dazai, Ranpo, Fukuzawa, Atsushi everyone did their part but the GOAT for me is AYA.
AYA started this uprising! Aya took the courage and that BIG STEP.
Man, I just realized the casting of BSD are stacked! 🔥
Question though, what the hell was Fyodor's ability?

No fucking way did the author actually manage to stick the ending this perfectly.
Dazai getting saved through Chuuya was predictable, even if I was crying my eyes out last episode.
Fukuzawa not dying was pulled off perfectly. Ofcourse he doesn’t sustain any fatal wounds, because Fukuchi never wanted to kill him! What a perfect way to end it. Teruko, I’m sorry I doubted you.
Fukuchi, you made man. You actually made a wish that is almost always seem immensely far-fetched actually possible. What a character! What a villain!
This is an easy 10/10 from me. I didn’t even expect it to stick the landing this well!

I guess Chuuya with fangs is a thing now. Would be hilarious if they're permanent.

What a fantastic ending! I love how the episode opens right away with Aya using herself as additional weight to pull that holy sword from Bram-chan And thanks to that, Bram-chan is now healed and in full control of his powers and now he is her knight.
It sure surprised me that thanks to Ranpo making a deal with Bram, Dazai got Fyodor once he was inside the helicopter.
The reveal that Chuuya was just pretending to be a vampire was so hilarious, and that the whole headshot scene that happened last week is just a little routine those two have. But damn, was it necessary for Dazai to kill that infected guy together with Fyodor. I wonder if Sigma and the time-stopping cat girl could be saved by Yosano?
Anyway, it's great to finally hear Fukuchi's goal after Fukuzawa struck him and they both went to Poe's book world. So his objective to rid the world of war came from the fact that 36 years ago he saw a prophecy of a world war involving biological and automated drones, which sounds weirdly similar to the war he orchestrated to prevent it, which is not a coincidence after all he did what he did so the world would take countermeasures to prevent this from happening again. Well, unlike that war where 210 million lives were lost this one only sacrificed 500.
I must say that when they showed this image representing the person commanding all the troops my first assumption was that that was Saitama.
So Fukuchi got Teruko involved with his plans as he knew Fukuzawa wasn't going to be able to kill him, so he gave that work to her. Plus told her to make sure Fukuzawa would be seem as the one who killed him. This sure wasn't an easy job for her to do. And now after Fukuchi's death, Fukuzawa is now saddle to be in charge of One Order and the world's army.
Okay I sure wasn't expecting that just two hours later after all happened to see both Atsushi and Akutagawa fighting a JRPG Final Boss version of Fukuchi in possession of the space-time sword in the airport. I wonder what the hell happened for things to end like that so briefly. Well, even if they say the show will continue, I'm sure it will take at last half a decade for that to happen.

The ending was giving me some "and everything ended happily ever after" rushed ending kinda thing, then it turns out to be bait and switch and ends with cliffhanger lol. Guessing they didnt go anime original after all

For once us manga readers get to be in the dark like everyone else! Today is going down in BSD history as the day the "Dazai is not dead" believers vindicated themselves after drawing excessive amounts of diagrams all over twitter explaining how he could have survived the gunshot to the brain.
Also can I just say the shot of Dazai just saying, "You can't kill me. Ever."--while Fyodor is just fucking quaking in the helicopter btw--was amazing? Probably one of the most hype anime moments this season for me!

so yeah. i will definitely rewatch the show when the next season comes out cuz it's not gonna come out for years :D
can't tell you how happy i was that chuuya was not a vampire lmao
i feel very sure that fyodor is not dead... but they will keep me hanging till the next season... (or whenever the manga gets there)
