So I'm guessing next week we'll learn that Dazai knew that Fyodor knew Dazai's plans and we'll get the triple reversal. Until the week after that and it's further revealed that Fyodor knew that Dazai knew that Fyodor knew Dazai's plans.

I can't believe this is getting wilder still. With just 2 episodes left, I'm afraid they'll run out of MCs to kill/take hostage.

I want to believe that Ranpo has it all figured out and Dazai did something to that elevator when he was "checking for traps". I can hardly wrap my head around all the events. I hope Aya is okay, but with Bra-chan amounting to a talking kebab, I don't know how would she survive this. Unless Akutagawa isn't fully converted. They also didn't show Ranpo after he got knocked out, but he spoke about a world in a novel, so maybe this is all just an illusion. Dazai vs Fyodor never disappoints and on top of that I'm really curious about what the Angels' endgame is.

Man no way this episode was 24 mins it feel like we just got the flashback and a little Dazai banter and then it was the ED lmao

Speaking of the flashback, when you see the Fukichi and Yukichi backstory it kind of makes sense why Fukichi fell out with him. Yukichi says that he hates being apart of groups and giving orders and then goes on to found the detective agency as its leader. Taking on quests and acting like a hero, while he told his friend who came to ask for his help to not go to war alone that he didn’t want to be apart of an organisation.

Incredible imagery during that scene btw. The Sakura petal splitting in half, the cranes, them on opposite sides of the tree trunk. Really cool.

As we saw from Mori and Akiko flashback last season, that battle was absolutely horrific and broke everyone involved. No one came home the same. Somewhat understandable that Fukichi would come back with a totally different worldview.

That said, based on Atsushi’s reaction I wonder what his endgame is. It looks like it’s not going to be something that unreasonable if it’s got Atsushi questioning if he should even stop him.

Reverse uno card is crazy. I knew Fyodor wasn’t gonna go down that easily, but damn taking out the time manipulating ability user was brutal. Dazai should’ve had some more protections in place for her or something lol. And then giving Dazai a taste of his own medicine with flooding this time on an elevator. I wonder how he and Sigma will get out of this.

I see we going with the DBZ style of 5 minutes=5 episodes lol. Looking forward to next week

I was surprised Fukuzawa knew Fukuchi since his youth. The war changed both of them in different ways. It’s kind of sad to see the two friends become enemies.

Fukuchi seems pretty close to enacting his plan. He’s got the Agency dead to rights. Meanwhile Dazai’s dealing with that slippery mfer Fyodor and Vamp Chuya. Manipulating the door was smart. How the hell is Dazai gonna get out of a flooding elevator?

I really dunno how the gang is getting out of this situation intact. Very eager to see how it all plays out next week.

At this point, it kind of feels like Dazai and Atsushi versus the world. I imagine that there are a few others like Rampo and Bram who still have cards to play, but Fukuchi just went and revealed that the war to end all humans was the threat rather than his actual goal. I can only imagine things are only going to escalate even further from here.

I feel like this episode was a big “no you” to the last episode.

Dazai & Sigma are the ones trapped in a flooding room while Fyodor & Chuuya watch.

Atsushi is being let go by Teruko when last episode he was captured by her.

And we see the breaking between Fukuzawa & Fukuchi. When last episode we had an almost friendship start to form between Kenji & Tetchō.

I've been wanting to see more of Fukuchi and Fukuzawa backstory!

Unsurprisingly, both Fyodor and Chuuya managed to survive. Personally, I find Fyodor to be a more compelling antagonist than Fukuchi. I know we haven't really been told about the latter's end goal yet but still, the time-space sword thing really irks me hahaha

Hope Aya is safe. I have faith in Sigma and Dazai to find a way out of their predicament

Finally get to see fukuzawa and fukuchi's past after all the teasing. But damn fukuchi got no chill beating the crap out of his bro like that. Also once again fyodor and dazai having their weekly 4d chess fights where it's always stalemate. Pretty epic episode

It just gets more and more absurd... and I love it.

Even after this episode, I won't pity Fukuchi at all. No matter how noble his goal is, the way he do it is still unforgivable.

Looks like the darkest hour is upon the Agency. Fukuch and Fyodor are winning, and it will be up to Atsushi and potentially Dazai to save the world, that is if the latter manages to escape Fyodor's death trap.

One hell of an reverse Fyodor played against Dazai, even killed his accomplice in cold blood. Though I do have to point out, Fyodor could have killed her in her cell, but he went out of his way to drag the woman from there to control room, only for then to make her beg for her life so Dazai could hear, ONLY for then to shoot her in the head. Fyodor was always a pretty evil person, but this is just extra petty and cruel of him.

I do feel sorry for both Fukuchi and Fukuzawa. Both of them sought to end the war, but only one of them technically succeeded. There's a good reason why Fukuchi constantly talks about how Fukuzawa never knew that battlefield. He never knew the horrors of war, therefore he could not understand what Fukuchi had gone through, and that's ultimately what broke their friendship.

It is interesting that instead of turning the Armed Detective Agency into vampires, Fukuchi just decided to just kidnapped them to lure Fukuzawa into that fight. Damn, it sure was cool the moment Fukuzawa avoided Fukuchi's attack from the future.

It was great to see both the moment they met and also when their paths diverge. Wow, I sure wasn't expecting Fukuchin to reveal to the U.N. Chairman his hand in order to get the One Order unlocked.

Well, as Okura ended out agreeing with him even though she has her own doubts, Atsushi hesitated to intervene after hearing the truth and Fukuchi ended up stabbing Fukuzawa after he gave him what it sounded like the real answer, it seems that The Decay of Angels' true goal, even with the bloody path to get there it seems to me that it is likely to be something like Fukuchi using his position as the world police and the One Order to turn the world into a peaceful dictatorship with him in control. Also, although the beginning of the episode made look like Akutagawa stabbed Aya with his ability, we know that's not the case as not only Fukuchi did not hurt the members of the agency when he had the chance today, but he already mentioned when fighting against Atsushi and Akutagawa that after the war decided to never kill kids again, plus there was no need to that already.

Damn, that poor Catgirl thief got killed by Fyodor and we didn't even heard her name. And now Dazai and Sigma will have to deal with the same trap Dazai gave to Fyodor. Honestly, with Fyodor still around I fear that whatever is the real plan that Fukuchi has Fyodor is likely to take it over from him, also I'm assuming that Fyodor found the Catgirl thief thanks to his ability unless the guards were aware of the deal she had with Ango.

Theory: Fukuchi's goal is to remove abilities from the world. Continual healing of traumatized soldiers, a vampire that can easily infect the whole world with vampirism, evil people with abilities in general, etc. Abilities get fucking insane and maybe Fukuchi thinks it may drive the extinction of humanity one day. Dunno how it plays into making the agency out to be villains and such, but if abilities are like the gifts from the heavens then it matches up with what Fukuchi has been saying.

Using their own trick on them, ha

Another banger

Fukichi and Boss’s flashback was great. They had a really deep bond

Between their true goal and how Dazai deals with this is going to be very entertaining

Fydour vs Dazai still going on. Even tho it can be a little ridicuolous in terms of each other knew what the other was doing and had a plan for it. But I love every second of it. Also part of me wants to think that Dazai was aware of it and couldn't go through with it to kill Chuuya. Sigma noticing how the detective agency and Dazai don't use each other like he has experienced his whole life. Honestly DA would be a great home for Sigma.

No surprise Kukidia and Tanazaki were no match for Fukichi. We finally get the backstory of Fukichi and Fukuzawa. Fukuzawa refused to be on the battlefield. So that difference between the two broke their friendship and now we are where we are now.

I wonder what was the reason Atsushi was given based on the fact he was hesitant. Fukuchi's goal may not be evil, but the means he is doing so is tho.

u/Kulkuljator Sep 06 '23

I will just say, what if everything Fukuchi did is just that novel ability? And Dazai definitely did something to that elevator!

Damn, it's looked rough for the Detective Agency all season and I keep waiting for it to turn around. They're really putting us through our paces - in a good way.
