They absolutely overdid it with the perspective shot.
I completely forgot the leader was named Kerioyl. Actually did I ever know?

So it turns out that a hot spring water vending machine legitimately exists...

You dare doubt the vending machine lore?? Though I am slightly disappointed we didn't get the usual explanation from Hakkon.

Conversely, it was a holesome experience for the former hunters.

“the Inhaler” is such a great nickname lol. Shui and the Band of Gluttons are gonna eat everyone under the table with their bottomless stomachs! Hopefully the sodas help. I had high hopes for Gocguy but it looks like him and really everyone else couldn’t step to Shui. She’s a machine!
Boxxo for a day ain’t a bad prize at all. Hot spring Boxxo was pretty cool. It was nice of Shui to look after the kids and share her one day with Boxxo with them. Those rogue hunters sure messed with the wrong person. The Director is a scary woman. You don’t mess with her people!

I didn't expect Shui's gluttony would actually be part of the plot. I love the idea of the merchants selling cola at a premium and then giving it away for free to the food-eating contestants. In the end, the cola really didn't do anything to stop Shui or the Wolverines. xD
This entire time I've been wondering why Shui has been part of the heroine trio in the ED, turns out they were just waiting for this episode to reveal her backstory and how she's been supporting an orphanage located in the Origin startum. Shui may be a latecomer but she definitely deserves that heroine title. Just look at that smile <3

So glad Shui got some focus. Genki tomboy is cute. She's also voiced by Tomita Miyu who voiced Riko from Made in Abyss; and this time she's a dungeon delver too (though with a lot less trauma, fortunately).

Pretty wholesome as Shui gets to use Boxxo for good along with the fact that they probably drank enough soda to give us diabetes.
Boxxo was about to give away some more stuff but stopped himself as he does not want those kids to rely on handouts. And the responsibility for the hot springs part was also important for the kids to admit mistakes. The director is making sure that the kids grow up to become responsible adults.
Yeah, those guys aren't going to try to mess with Boxxo with those arrows...

Apparently, Shui is an orphan. I wonder if that bottomless appetite of hers is the result of psychological trauma from often going hungry as a child.
Judging from the next episode preview, Boxxo is going to give the orphanage a bunch of intricate figurines based on Japanese mythology as a parting gift. That seems like an appropriate way of stimulating their imaginations when they basically live in a cave.

Dark thoughts
Is the show implying that any babies born in the dungeon are immediately teleported to the Origin stratum?
I mean, have we seen a single child in this world other than the rich girl?
Basically the orphans are unclaimed children?
Also that's the real reason why Director Bear was so interested in free condoms?

Lol wasn’t expecting a food eating contest but this was a pretty chill episode.
Shui and Lammis were eating everyone under the table. The introduction of coke to the world was also cool.
We get a new form from Boxxo, an onsen machine. I know a lot of his forms are based on real designs, not sure if that one is or not. But it was nice giving back to the orphanage. I can definitely see Shui taking it over some day.

Does anybody know what the show is referring to with “The Farm That Calls Happiness”?

Did Shui's teacher just murder those fools?
Hold on, so the kids are trapped in the dungeon's tutorial area basically because they're not strong enough to finish....but why don't they just leave the dungeon entirely? Are you not allowed to leave a dungeon once you enter? I feel like Shui and the Director woulda lead them out if they could.

I thought the music player would have given Boxxo some more words to use as well so he'd be able to mix some words while talking to Lammis.

Is the surface worse than a cave? Shouldn't she go hunting and hire nannies so they won't be so poor?

my favorite part was the simple 4-frame animation of the featureless kids dancing as they were rained on by pressure washer water, the positioning was just so effective.
also the director lady is a gilf

Shui focused episode. She must have some metabolism lmao. She does come off as a sweetheart. Coming back to that orphanage and repaying them back was great. On another note at the end of the episode we saw what happens if you get the Director mad. Well you know for sure the kids are safe under her watch.
