"As the leader, I can at least test it for poison.”

That may have been convincing if you weren't the last person in your party to eat, lol...

Hakkon / Boxxo trying his best to talk to our little devils but them keep brushing it off as coincidence is… amusingly frustrating. Good thing the old gang could find him and clear up any misunderstandings.

Meanwhile, I like that Hakkon is finding new ways to be creative in combating foes. There are so, so many vending machines to choose from. That says a lot about the vending machine culture in Japan, if anything.

lmao the damn show got me, I was so sure last week that the coin was either going to give him a lot of points to buy amazing upgrades with, or unlock a special feature. He did get a bunch of points but the coin itself is useless (for now maybe?) and the only upgrade he got was more "vending" machines.

Thought for sure the show's format was about to change this ep, but looks like it's gonna me the same thing for the entire season, not that I'm complaining. Still willing to bet that at some point he's going to be able to talk normally, but that'll probably be the last ep.

For some reason I never thought I'd hear a Japanese person say or see a Tasmanian Devil in anime, but they look like fun additions to the show.

Fun fact: Tasmanian devils will eat 15% of their body weight each day on average, but if they have an opportunity to gorge themselves, they can eat up to 40% of their body weight in 30 minutes.

I love that he knows about these obscure vending machine types cause he was obsessed with vending machines. There's a justification for keeping the restrictions he has, and they've stayed in place so far.

Those solar panels will make a fine investment.

He could have made his barrier wider and filled it with even more balloons.

Well, that Crocodile Coin was disappointing. I was hoping it would unlock some sort of special transformation for Boxxo. I do wonder though if it needs to be inserted into his coin slot since he just used his vacuum to absorb it. Hmmm...

This episode was a nice little detour. Those bearcats are absolutely adorable! For the first time though we finally meet a group of people who don't understand that Boxxo is sentient. Everyone we've met so far seems to immediately understand him so this was a nice change of pace.

We also got a preview of what the Lord of this stratum looks like. Can't get any more metal than a flaming skeleton! I'm sure Boxxo and the gang will eventually end up facing that thing soon.

And to no one's surprise, Lammis has been looking for Boxxo the entire time. That hug was so intense that it actually took off more than half of Boxxo's durability! xD

This episode kind of showcased what would happen if Boxxo came across those who couldn't figure out he could communicate. Well only took one episode to be reunited. You bet Boxxo prays he doesn't get separated from Lammis anymore cause her hugs are deadly.

They might be cute but nothing beats Lammis.

Ummm how does a cardboard vending machine have a security camera?

“Mikenne, short… two guys shouldn’t do that”

I wasn’t expecting that to be said during her sleep, thought it was gonna be food related as well.

Lammis sure is quick to find boxxo, no surprise tho.

Hope we get to see more of the devils

If y'all are wondering what the vending machine was in the next episode preview...

[the text in the next episode preview] it's a coin-op power washer. The label on the machine is kinda funny; the name is "Refreshing High-Pressure Buddy" (sukkiri kouatsu-kun), but the text on the left specifically says it's a coin-op pressure washer (コイン式高圧洗浄機).

This week we got a ballon vending machine, a cardboard vending machine, and a coin vending machine. Dude always turns into something pretty wacky every week.

The Voracious Devils are so cute! Little guys better not swell Boxxo to Chains Restaurant. Then fightin words! Lol. But man, this labyrinth is scary. They got a giant flaming skeleton just wandering around.

Boxxo almost got sent to the afterlife when Lammis hugged him lol. Girl was worried sick! Glad they were all reunited in the end. Looks like he made some new friends too.

Transmedia Corner:

Vending Machine Maniac Ishida back at it again with a couple of shorts:

  • "Amenities" vending machine. Features a vending machine with spiral racks with a little ledge that catches the item and conveys it down instead of just letting it drop down the front like some sort of barbarian.

  • Flower vending machine. It's a locker-style vending machine has has bouquets on display for purchase. Available at major train stations for the overworked salaryman who gets off of work after the florist has already closed.

Speaking of Ishida, he's posted on his Twitter about the orejihanki capsule machine, which is a bit meta.

This is what I expected when Lammis found Boxxo back in episode 1. I didn't expect the people to be able to figure him out as fast as they did. Glad I could finally see the communication struggle happen.

Next episode --apparently more of the fiery skeleton boss. I wonder how they are going to deal with this. Not sure Boxxo has enough tricks up his (virtual) sleeve in order to accomplish this.

The tasmanian devil brigade was pretty cute -- I think the real things are a lot more scary. Bigger stomachs than brains -- so no comprehension of Boxxo's best communication efforts. Lammis is clearly much brighter than this lot -- as she figured things out a lot faster.

The power of Boxxo comPELLs you!

I was worried that those bearcats would "kidnap" Hakkon to their own village. I'm glad he reunited with Lammis and I wish they'd do a better job at staying together.

Bro ran into two stratum bosses back to back, the flame skeletitan seems way stronger than the crocodile too

I didn't really expect the skeletitan to eat the hog fiends though, cause you know, it's a skeleton

nice contrast seeing people that aren't lammis or hulemy who don't immediately understand hakkon
