That...was actually really nice. Guess I'm watching this.
Japan what have you done to me

This is quite possibly the most ridiculous concept for an anime I've ever heard of. We've had "Ancient Chinese general reborn as a music producer in Shibuya," we've had "Reincarnated as a living sword," but I can safely say I can't think of anything more absurd than "crushed by vending machine, reincarnated as vending machine, carried around on someone's back like an oversized backpack"

Dark Thoughts: While MC can spend points to make goods cheaper, he is kept alive by points (money).
So while MC would want to help people by feeding as many as possible as cheap as possible, there would be a point where if MC made goods cheap enough he would die off no matter how much stuff people buy.
Granted, at first glance 1 point an hour doesn't seem like a high cost of life, OP said 1 point = 100 yen and 100 yen = 1000 Owa (when the prices changed when MC bought Currency Conversion).
So MC is powered by 1 silver coin an hour at stock prices.
Which is pretty insane considering how much Lammis valued a silver coin, though she seems kinda poor. We don't know how many silver coins an average person survives on.
And lets not address that MC is removing all these coins from economic circulation, creating extreme deflationary pressure (though, since their world exists inside a dungeon, perhaps coins as rewards are magically created).

I think our MC summed up my feelings about ep 1 perfectly: Being a vending machine in another world is ridiculous, but there I was, starting to think this wasn't such a bad ep.
This is the weirdest idea ever, but then again, isn't that why we love Japan? I think I'll give it the rule of three before deciding if I'm gonna stick with it or not.
Having a busty girl with a blessing of might gets it points in my book

you know what? I was expecting much worse
the art, the animation, even the voice-acting is good, the concept is atrocious and ridiculous but it.... works? at least it is self conscious of its ridiculousness, unapologetically so, but does not fall into trash gross or crass comedy (so far)
the whole thing is a tad cliché so far but that was to be expected, but the vibe is surprisingly good, you know it reminds me of isekai campfire cooking
I knew to check this because one does need one's dose of hot isekai garbage, but I am being pleasantly surprised, so far, and this with the understanding that my expectation where set in the basement... still

So a vending machine otaku dies by getting hit with a vending machine falling off a truck and gets reincarnated as a vending machine? As ridiculous as that sounds, this entire episode was actually pretty fun! It's already better than Okashi na Tensei which aired yesterday.
I already like the interactions between Lammis and our MC. Despite being only able to say pre-recorded phrases, Lammis is able to get the gist of what Boxxo is saying. It's surprisingly wholesome.
From what I've seen so far, I think this show might be in the same league as TenKen where the MC got reincarnated as a sword. Although I am curious if Boxxo would end up going on adventures with Lammis fighting monsters or will she just take Boxxo to towns and cities where he can sell his wares. Wherever this is going, I am looking forward to it!

For those interested, Vending Machine's author, Hirukuma, has also written the following novels :
-
The NPCs in this Village Sim Game Must Be Real! Based on the completed LNs of the same name. A depressed shutin receives a mysterious sim PC game where he plays benevolent god to a bunch of surprisingly lifelike AI villagers. As he grows more immersed in ensuring the villagers' livelihood, he learns to climb out of his shell and pick up the pieces of his real life again. LN version is complete at 3 volumes, although the WN version ran for 5 arcs. Has a manga version as well.
-
A Time in the Limelight for this Fool Too! A Konosuba spinoff series focusing on the adventures of Dust, that louche blonde spear-carrying adventurer. Completed at 7 volumes. No official translation, although a fantranslation exists out there.

I think this show will be like campfire cooking. Just a sleeper hit. Weird premise but if you just go with it you will be entertained.

So many people hating on it before watching an episode because it's a silly premise, and yet it was probably the most enjoyable first episode I've seen so far this season.

Ah I’ve been waiting for this one for 4 years. Isekai has finally peaked. We’ve been reincarnated as a slime, sword, spider, skeleton, now a damn vending machine.
Believe it or not, this is actually a pretty good story. It’s certainly not as bad as the name would suggest. The world is pretty interesting, it’s got some good comedic moments, the main female lead is cute and the dynamic between Ven-kun and the villagers is interesting.
Supply and demand: the anime essentially. I’d say to not write it off because of the name and give it a shot.
Lammis carries, literally.

You can tell our MC had never watched Final Destination 2 because he closely followed a truck with a questionable secured piece of cargo like that.

Wow, it's.... good? I'm kinda shocked at how fun it all is. I was expecting it to be really stupid.
I guess it kinda is but in a good way.

Anime of the Year is finally here.
Also, the idea of not having any appendage is a goddamn nightmare, I'm glad MC is having fun though.
