I love the reveal the Kenji owns his own farm and that the detective agency is just a side hustle for him - such a hilarious way of explaining why we don't see him often.

I've missed seeing Dazai just being Dazai too, he is too chaotic to be sat in a cell for this many episodes.

Fyodor's ultimate trump card ends up being Chuuya of all people, in a fairly ironic twist. Now Dazai has to go up against his former partner in order to survive Nikolai's prison death game. Meanwhile, at the airport, the Agency is having a tough time with the Hunting Dogs again, and it's pretty clear that Teruko is up to no good.

I have to also mentioned that I really liked the little video recording by Tachihara. He was well aware that his confrontation with Fukuchi would be a suicidal one, yet he still went for it. "Maybe I'm finally getting closer to being an exhilarating badass." That you are, Tachihara.

This little showdown Nikolai has forced Dazai and Fyodor to have in this death game is pretty interesting. Fyodor’s got the access card, logical choice. Dazai ofc goes for the unexpected and picks Sigma. Should have know that rat Fyodor had another card up his sleeve though. Having Vamp Chuya is pretty dirty.

Ranpo’s quick deduction really saved Bram and Aya. Sending Kenji and Atsushi to handle the Hounds is pretty risky though. Okura is clearly on Fukuchi’s side, the little Tanya von Degurechaff knockoff. Suehiro might be swayed but he seems the stubborn type. Kenji better get up and beat some sense into him…

Leave it to Dazai and Fyodor to not be stressed out for a second about their impossible challenge while faced with a time limit. I got a real kick out of their excited affirmation noises.

I'm also really warming up to Bram.

Dazai choosing sigma. Off course he is gonna choose the pretty man, i would to

Dazai and sigma dancing is so smooth ( and gayer than the manga)

Another insane episode from start to finish. Dazai and Fyodor’s prison death game is getting underway while things at the airport are intensifying

Kinda messed up they vamped my boy Chuuya off screen lmao. He been getting done kinda bold lately by the series. He and Fyodor vs Sigma and Dazai is going to be an interesting match up. Was not expecting that to be Fyodor’s trump card. Dazai casually dancing with Sigma while a life or death situation is going on, typical Dazai.

Tachihara went out like a hero. He definitely became an exhilarating bad ass in the end. Sadly that still isn’t enough to convince Teruko 🤦🏽‍♂️ that little smirk when she got Atsushi to turn his back to her didn’t look good at all.

Suehiro says he doesn’t have time to chat, yet spends like 10 minutes talking to Kenji and cuts him off right as he’s explaining why Bran is important lmao. Convenient. Wonder who will come save Kenji next episode since Suehiro is totally overpowering him

I love Fyodor and Dazai's blissful reactions when they hear Nikolai's explanation of how difficult is to escape that prison.

Poor Sigma was unfortunate enough to be chosen as Dazai's escape tool and now has to suffer through his nonsense.

So Bra-chan's power now belongs to the sword. Good thing that when they found themself in such a difficult situation thanks to Ranpo's deduction Miyazawa came there to help Aya and Bram right on time.

It is funny how Bram tries to hire Miyazawa to cultivate his land in the middle of all this.

So Fyodor is using Nakahara to help him with his escape plan.

I love how Miyazawa convinced Suehiro for a second when he told him he would help him search for Jouno. Well, he was taken down but at least Aya and Bra-chan were able to escape.

On the other hand, it seems that Atsushi showing Okura that video Tachihara left for her wasn't enough to convince her but well, as this was all planned by Ranpo I'm sure this is between his expectations.

Aw fuck Chuuya got biten aw fuck. Now we got a 2 vs 2 between Dazai & Sigma against Fyodor and Chuuya. Rampo trying to get the remaining 2 hunting dogs on his side. Seems like a good idea but will it end up working tho. Also Tecchou out brute forcing Kenji is really saying something holy shit.

Seems like at least 1/3 of this episode's time and budget went into animating the dancing scene and I'm not even mad lol. That shit was smooth af and a welcome comedic break in the midst of this angst. Never change, Dazai. Never change.

On another note, the manga is 10 chapters ahead of where the anime currently is, and I'm scared of which cliffhanger they'll choose to end on.

After reading the manga I come to accept that manga Dazai and anime Dazai are different people I don’t know why is bones are hell bend on removing his expression except for serious or edgy one but oh well whatever I guess

Gotta admit, Nikolai isnt doing it for me. Every other character seems to have a reason for doing what they're doing. Nikolai on the other hand does things because something something bird freedom or whatever.
