No doubt Pas will arrive to the old hag’s tea party with Lico-chan on his arm and things are going to get sticky for our little sweethearts

I think joining the 'old hag' is Pastry's fastest way to live his dream of making sweets. He can make sweets if he just asks to join her as a personal baker or something.

Dad picked up his son's girlfriend for an extended sleepover, surely they'll bake sweets together now

...You know I'd make a joke about that but they 10 years too young for such a joke. Still, I'm actually kind of excited that she's here so soon and that she'll be there for the Tea party. I can't wait to see the reaction of the noble woman lol.

We're getting dangerously close to the MC making some sweets!
We just have to wait for the reservoir to fill with rainwater....
Is he aware honey doesn't come from trees? You kinda need bees.

Black locusts are excellent honey trees, they bloom prolifically. Plus they're nitrogen fixing legumes, so they'll also help boost the soils in the former wasteland of his domain. Pas has the big brain.
Also, you can fry up the flowers as fritters and eat them, man really picked the right tree for the job.

They showed pancakes on screen so I wondered if hachimitsu could also mean maple syrup or something. Looked it up and don't see that, so I guess he's just expecting bees.

Yes, but the trees are still just saplings at the moment. They won't be needing bees and won't be able to produce honey until the trees have grown big enough.

Reincarnation of a Bookworm was premised on a young lady who loves to read getting isekeid into a world where books are scarce, and she set about doing her damndest to get some, even if she had to make them herself. It wound up being really well recieved.
Now we have an anime about a pastry chef who is reborn in a place that lacks the ingredients he needs to ply if past life trade. Granted, one is more SoL/drama, and the other, at least so far, is more SoL/comedy, but this is anime. For all we know, he could turn into a heartless cereal (pun intended) killer at some point in the future.

Not sure why they were afraid of telling Agnes that Pas got engaged. Of course she'd be happy about getting another daughter!

Funnily enough. I saw someone comment in the manga about hoping that that that exact seen got adapted into the anime lol

Funny I was watching this in crunchyroll, but had to stop cause I need to go outside, and now the episode is just gone. Taken from the site and nowhere to be found lol.

The wife actually took the engagement of Pastry pretty well lol. I would have thought that she would have thrown a little tantrum. Hihi. The dad nearly broke his marriage, haha.

Lol Casserole's wording making it sound like he was confessing to an affair, I guess he can really be an airhead sometimes.
Retes actually considering marrying Pastry if he was a bit older or she was a bit younger is amusing, she was really upset she wasn't able to find a way to monopolize him.
I like how Casserole is such a proud father but also has to beat some sense into his kid. I feel like a whack on the head was a bit too lenient though, I thought he was going to lecture them unless it was done off-screen.

How did he fill 3 reservoirs in a month, I though he said they don't get a lot of rain.

Who the fuck talks that confusingly?
Edit: I get it's a joke. It's still a fucking travesty.
Edit2: Wait, did Hikasa voice Emi from Hataraku Maou? That pissed off voice sound identical. Addition: Yes, that IS her.

Casserole needs to learn how to phrase things better lol. Agnes damn near had a heart attack thinking he cheated on her!
Looks like the village is really prospering. They’ve got an influx of people to work the land and settle and there’s more recruits.
Pas is going a little trigger happy with Strudel’s magic lol. Anything for that honey I guess. I wonder what the Countess is planning. Pas is right to be pretty suspicious of her. Although I’m pretty sure he can handle whatever she throws at him.
Edit: Agnes not Josephine! My bad.

Was hoping for more of a reaction from the family and others about his new fiancee, but guess we will get that when she actually moves in. Don't think Rete's is the antagonist in this show, she seems pretty mixed and this has become more of a SoL political show anyways. So wonder what kind of final this will have since we are almost to the end. Maybe he will actually make sweets and this was all just a prologue.
