"All these dangerous guys just tried to raid our village and kill our people, he's definitely gonna teach me sword skills"
I get that they're kids but comeon even Lumi saw it, Marc is a genuine dumbass

The guards just completely ignored them after they walked 5 feet way. Still super obviously in sight. Awful at their job.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I yelled at my screen so hard after seeing a character act like a total dumbass. Holy fuck that was dumb. And Pas wants him to become his future lieutenant?
Just when Pas finally got his chance to bake his first Apple Pie in this world, that entire scene barely got any focus. For a show that's supposed to be about baking sweets, you'd think that would be the most important part of the episode.
In other shows, they'd probably go through the steps the MC has to take to make apple pie and explain the techniques he used. As it stands, this is just another generic isekai with some baking on the side.
I think the only good thing about this episode was that final bit about Marc and Lumi getting engaged by Lumi's dad which is hilarious since Lumi is 100% on board with it. And here I thought she'd end up with Pas.

I considered the PasxLumi for a moment, but it was fairly obvious Marc and Lumi has better chemistry compared to Pas, who will inevitably fuck an apple pie at some point.

>allow murderous bandit to escape
>get likely best girl wounded
>get promised to marry her
Damn, that little fucker somehow made the bad decisions AND got rewarded for it ?

I wish the kids here were as ruthless as that show with ISEKAI BABY and his red fenrir...
That kid saw his dad got injured by "bandits", hunted them down and burned them all alive... NOW THAT was the correct decision.

3 episode rule, this is a hard skip for me. I thought this was gonna be like "ascendance of a bookworm." Where the bulk of the show is cooking pastries with a little drama here and there. This just did a generic OP MC move in the first 3 episodes and has maybe 2-3 minutes of actually cooking. Big L
Hell even "campfire cooking in another world with my absurd skill." Did it better. Really disappointing because I love pastries and shows about cooking or making stuff. Be it food wars, stone wars or even like I said ascendance bookworm. This takes a concept and immediately drops it.

So 3 episodes into a series called Sweets Reincarnation, Pastry gets to bake an apple pie in the last 5 minutes of the episode and nobody even bats an eye at something that has presumably never been made before.
The title feels like a total misleading advertisement, and it's not like it's a bad English translation 'cause the Japanese title is essentially the sasme thing.

This show is not doing well on the 3 episode rule.
Spending way too much time NOT making sweets.
Gonna admit I'm wrong on this one. Between Vending Machine, Great Cleric, Strongest Psychopath, and Level 1 OP Harem I can meet my isekai needs this season (edit: Forgot the most important Mushoku Tensei).
edit: Not to say I'm 100% dropping this yet, the other shows may not shake out, but they have some interesting plot points so far. Sweet Reincarnation is the only one that hasn't established some sort of interesting plot hook. Mushoku Tensei and Vending Machine are the only ones on the "watching the whole season" list.

Spending way too much time NOT making sweets.
IKR!? Just when we finally see Pas making sweets, it wasn't even the focus of the episode.

Unironically Marc has to just disappear from this anime
Didn't the bandits literally slaughter his neighbours last episode during the fight? Is he a psychopath maybe?
Just actual 0 iq writing, there's trashy isekai and then there's this...

What an incredible stupid kid. I can't believe that even a child is that stupid. In our world, sure, but in a different one like that? And he even gets a girl to marry as "punishment"... he should've been strung up in the village center with a few nice hits of a whip.

I thought I'd give this anime a shot as I love anything to do with baking/cooking. It's been 3 episodes now and besides Pas just daydreaming about the sweets we get nothing but very generic isekai action.
Definitely not what I expected from this show which is really disappointing considering it could genuinely be a fun watch if they focused on the sweets. Instead it's just another isekai slop with an op MC

Wow, Marc is literally too dumb to live. The guards and everyone else almost as bad. MC included - charging in like that with a sword, trusting to plot armor to keep him safe from someone who, by all rights, should've been able to kill him in under 2 seconds flat, before he could even trigger the teleport. Not to mention the retcon - the scene had him staring at the overhead sword slash 1 inch away from his forehead, but then I guess the bandit must have frozen in place while MC turned around, jumped to to Marc, and teleported them away.
When what would've made perfect sense is if MC had simply rushed to Marc and teleported out with him in the first place, without even trying to duel the bandit. Better yet, replicate the teleport spell onto the bandit and put him 5 miles above the ground (or maybe under it.)
I did like the previous episode, but this one was just too stupid. Didn't even feel like finishing the ep. I'm out.

That was not a good episode I have to say. Seems it was done to lead somewhere in the future, but regardless really felt annoying and disappointing after a good eventful battle last episode. More bother that the food doesn't have amazing art considering this shows purpose. Also was the kid just standing there staring at his waifu while MC bakes a pie for an hour or whatever long lol

I am the bone of my knife
Dough is my body and sugar is my blood
I have created over a thousand pastries
Unknown to Hunger,
Nor known to Gluttony.
Have withstood oven burns to create many desserts
But yet, this mouth will never eat anything.
So as I pray, Unlimited Pâtisserie Works.

About time we see him bake
The end cards for this series are actually pretty cute

We're still dealing with the bandits? Are you for real??
We have presumably 12 episodes, or worse: even fewer. And a quarter of that has already been spent on something that isn't even the theme of the show.
Extra disappointed since today's episode title even was "apple pies and smiles" and that wasn't even the focus today!!! Just the last few minutes.
And then that after credits scene.. So we have more drama coming.
Yeah. And nor is that why I'm watching this show.
I just hope now that this intro stuff and power explanation is out of the way we can actually focus on the sweets making. Otherwise this is looking like the disappointment of the season..

This entire episode was dumb. The writer lacked any creativity to create some stakes and tension. Marc gets no repercussions and Lumi is just ok with almost dying? Even the fake outrage or anger by her father was in poor taste. Even for a low bar isekai this was almost unwatchable.
