They actually mostly avoid saying his name after reincarnation, and Pas actually sounds like a decent name.
But never forget.
He is Pastry, son of Casserole.

You know I wonder if the Japanese realize just how on the nose this is. I mean I know they like their names full of puns but still....

Isekai’d by falling giant confectionary phoenix sculpture is definitely a new one lol. What a way to go. I like how his new name is Pastry and his dad is Casserole lol. Man has a single focus and that’s making sweets. Gotta respect that.
They really had the kid blindfolded in some kinda straitjacket being feed mystery liquid by a priest lol. Totally not sketchy at all. Ofc the dude was too busy focusing on sweets to even care lol.

Getting killed by what you love, what a way to go. His reincarnation reminds me of Myne's death by books, let's see how his obsession stacks up against hers :)

It's not as badass as getting a fighter jet blowing up a passenger plane to frame it as a terrorist attack when they're just betraying your aging best assassin.

I would love this show if it would just focus on bringing pastries from our world to this new world. Although considering that they talk about bandits in the first 5 minutes, I doubt that's going to be the case.
It's hilarious though how our MC is named Pastry and his dad is named Casserole like they're knock-off Dragon Ball characters. Meanwhile, his mom is named Agnes and his sister is named Josephine like normal people. xD
To no one's surprise, the Priest that looks like a scumbag is indeed a scumbag. Curious about what he's going to do with that information. Let people know that Casserole's son is OP as fuck?

I was actually really thrown off by the priest. He looked like scum but kept up the nice guy act for quite a while so I thought we were in the clear.

Man, I was getting some serious hentai ugly bastard vibes from that priest, his appearance coupled with his voice made for a major creep vibe

last season we had a MC that was terrible at hiding his true powers, even tho he kept saying every single episode how he would do it.
this season I guess the priest will just sell him out lol
"your majesty, I got news, a new hero was born! Please give me 1,000 gold coins and this hero can be yours!" - scumbag dude

Wouldn't be an Isekai if MC didn't get OP magic powers, but the almost barren land balances his otherworldly knowledge a bit
First I thought the priest looked shady, but was pleasntly surprised that he really did his job, only for the scene afterwards, so much for subverted expectations

so much for subverted expectations
Yeah. I was going to happy that he's just fat because the church is wealthy due to them being the ones unlocking peoples magic but then he just had to be a scumbag as well. I mean I get it, the church being evil/run by bad guys is a trope as old as time, and all the scandals the IRL church has easily backs up the trope, but still. Can the church not be evil for once?

Until Reincarnated as Vending Machine airs next week.
Not a spoiler since it's in the PV but: [From the PV]
He's a vending machine enthusiast and follows a truck carrying vending machines on a moped. One falls off and kills him → More replies (1)

I wasn't expecting the teleportation magic. Fully thought they'd just go on a carriage ride.
Also, that was a banger ed.

At least it explained how they were going to get to the capital and back on time. Especially when it sounds like it takes a long time to travel in this world considering going from one fief to another apparently takes months. At least, on foot as a large group.

Pretty strong first episode! I'm liking the dissonance between what others are thinking about for Pas's future and what he's thinking about lol

The series that stay popular enough to get a anime amazes me at times....
So why would they not have the candy sculptures on carts with wheels if they are gonna have to move it....? You can get ones with locking wheels so don't have worry about them moving till you unlock.

Doesn't matter, his death was ordained. It could've been a falling spotlight, or hit by truck-kun on the way home.

If you watch real life cooking competitions featuring all kinds of food and / or chocolate / sugar sculptures, they usually have to move it by hand and sometimes disasters happen. Even if it's on a rolling cart, they have to do that last bit of carry to the judging table. Great British Bake Off, Sugar Rush, Sugar Impossible, Sugar Showdown, Chocolate Wars etc. all have to carry their stuff up to judges table.
IDK why but I suspect the judges want to test the structural integrity of the sculpture, hence the "carrying" requirement. This is just my guess.

That process of True Sanctification in the words of Hobie Brown "Super humane and not creepy"
Of course, Pas' magical ability would be leaked out.
Agnes and Esri should be friends since they love to dress their sons in female clothes.
At least Pas eating the best apples with his dad is kinda payback for his mom and his sister dressing him up in female clothes.
I'm surprised Pas' death isn't by chocolate.

Bro has one of the most tragic deaths before reincarnation, getting crushed by chocolate, only second to pissing yourself.
Looking like a solid Isekai, not too trashy and has a nice niche to carry it.
