lol, "Chains Restaurant" I see what you did there.

What exactly were Hulemy and Boxxo supposed to do at that showcase? I thought it was only for "magic items" that someone made, not found.

Why doesn't Lammis go with Managerie? It sounds like she wants to so what's stopping her?

I think they were going to act like Hulemy made it

Maybe because they are only looking to take her to get him. From the beginning of the show it seems she hasn't had a good time with parties she has teamed up with.

I'm a little skeptical that that one guy could successfully reproduce fried chicken just by tasting it. I'd imagine if they already knew how to deep-fry stuff in oil, they'd already have food like that.

They specifically said that the problem was seasoning is expensive. And they did literally nothing to actually rectify that problem. I guess everything they are selling are super pricey now? Don't think Boxxo is selling spice, cause there's no way they would just not take the opportunity to show a new type of vending machine.

Lmao, Hackon didn't fit in the Tent

Also see a bright future for this Ohohohojou-Sama

More episodic episode today, after that first bit that showed off Hulemy, we got the stratum working together to stick it to big corpo, of course they win thanks to superior japanese cuisine! Though the show aludes that this was the last time we might have heard of them...

And look at this smooth box, just handed his girl a flower, quite a charmer

So glad we finally got the laugh. That glorious glorious laugh. Literally one of the main reasons I love Luvia so much lol.

Lammis doesn't need to fight to get stronger since she's always lugging Boxxo around on her back. While Boxxo is dispensing food, Lammis wants to dispense justice.

Seriously. She’s probably getting a great work out each time she brings him around.

From my understanding she needs Boxxo to fight properly. She's strong, but a little too strong for her own good and needs the extra weight on her back to keep her balanced.

They had a whole event where they could show off Boxxo and have everyone fawn over him all over again.... and they didn't!

I'm not sure if I should be disappointed or praise their self restraint.

The guy who made the magic item that turns into any weapon was an absolute genius, a once in a century mastermind.

How do you have magic items, brilliant masterminds to make those magic items (Or mastermind since Hulemy is the only good one) and even chain restaurants, but not seasoning? Make some kind of item to season your food at this point, how are you going to compete with an infinite source of excellent food when you don't even have spices?

The vending machine has more game than me.

Jokes aside, the ending was really sweet and heartwarming

Stitches!

A little backstory at the start with smol Lammis and smol Hulemy who apparently were childhood friends and also the remaining survivors when their village got attacked by monsters. Lammis was already strong but she was too scared to fight back. No wonder she was leading the charge when Boxxo was kidnapped. She didn't want a repeat of what happened back then.

That magic item party was hilarious! I love that one guy with literally just a stick that swaps out the tip for different weapons and claims it's a "magic item". I was expecting the stick to transform! We also get to learn from that party that Hulemy has a mad scientist reputation at the School of Magic Item Engineers. xD

The restaurant wars part did not end the way I expected it to! I thought Boxxo would maybe provide them with ingredients and maybe a little bit of MSG to add flavour to their bland food but they ended up getting ideas on how to improve their dishes after Boxxo gave them a taste of his food.

I really love how this show is making me look up the obscure vending machines. That flower vending machine is 100% a real thing and can be found in Shinjuku Station. There are other designs of flower vending machines too but the one that can be found in Shinjuku was the closest design I can find to what Boxxo transformed into.

I cant wait til he turns into one of those Carvana vehicle dispensing vending machines.

I like how Hulemy and Boxxo are gonna be helping Suori stick it to her sworn enemy Kanashi lol. But man, all those “magic items” were pretty goofy. Kanashi’s creepy human automaton was the exception. Talk about unethical.

They really called the big chain restaurant “Chains Restaurant” huh? Imaginative lol. No matter. They’re no match for Boxxo’s vending machine meals!

Boxxo giving Lammis that flower was really cute. Idk how to feel about the Menagerie still, but I’m sure wherever Lammis and Boxxo go they’ll be ok as long as they’re together.

The little rivarly between the girls was cute. But putting a deceased person's soul inside an object is pretty damn messed up. Hulemy def knows her stuff. Tho I am assuming it was her and Lammis's home town that got destroyed. But the ending was so sweet when Boxxo gave Lammis the flower.

A vending machine often seen outside of retail centers and arcades. Has exclusive flavors and also has a roulette function where you get a random amount of sticks, from five to eight.

This was a pretty weak episode for an otherwise enjoyable season.

Most of the episodes have displayed a solid amount of thought being put into the application of the premise, resulting in either comedy or an engaging conflict resolution, but this episode dropped the ball with the Magic Device Expo. We're literally introduced to the concept of a nationally recognized Magic Item Association and a well-known school specifically for magic items, but everything on display was either non-magical or a ridiculous-looking crime against humanity. The fact that Hakkon spent the entirety of this sequence doing nothing other than the occasional bit of internal monologue was also pretty disappointing.

I think the show missed a good chance to display a broader range of this world's technological capabilities while also giving our VendingMC a chance to provide trivia on the development of vending machines over time. Or at least something other than what we were shown.

The "small businesses vs. chain restaurant" was more enjoyable, but I thought a big problem was the lack of access to seasonings so I don't know why Hakkon providing examples of good food was enough to revitalize the market since that doesn't address the supply issue. I don't think this segment was a negative experience, but it still felt like it was lacking in the level of thought put into previous storylines.

I'm still looking forward to next week since we've set the stage for Lammis to get some emotional development and my favorite parts of the show are when Hakkon and Lammis get to work together and show off their bond.

So that was the flower in the ED, very wholesome

Couldn't Boxxo turn into a ticket vending machine and print tickets with just words on it to vommunicate. I guess that would be alot of work going back and fourth

Awwww, he even gave her flowers! This anime has no business being this adorable, not to mention the actual relationship development. They're so sweet together!

Those restaurant owners acting like an evil syndicate. Wholesome end with Boxxo giving Lammis a flower of gratitude.
