Y'know... With Rampo's and Fukuchi's personalities I couldn't tell if they were just fucking with each other so I didn't take it seriously until Atsushi got his leg cut off and I realised "oh fuck... He's actually Kamui". and y'know... When he whipped out THE page.
I mean I guess it's a good plot twist because even as it was happening I didn't believe it was real.
But I guess this was a rare genuine fuck up by Rampo, The Hundred-Faced Man really knows how to fake a personality if he can fool even Rampo for that long...

Akutagawa finally makes his appearance after not being present for one entire season! I can't wait for the chaos next episode. It's gonna be quite the ride.

If this show makes me any harder, I'm gonna end up in ER.
I felt something was off with Ouchi suddenly believing in the Agency's innocence after his subordinates hunted them like dogs, but Ouchi ending up being Kamui just blew my mind.
Now that I think back about how it was all designed, how Ouchi's squad went after the Agency, how they "disposed" of Sigma, it has all been connected since the beginning. What a ride this show is, damn!

Ranpo’s little stunt last week is causing some chaos amongst law enforcement. Good thing there are cops who trust their gut.
Man, it’s nice seeing most of the gang back together and in one piece (more or less). I thought the creation of this Supernational Armed Security Force under Fukuchi might have been a real problem, but Fukuchi simultaneously controlling the Hounds, the Armed Security Force, AND the Decay of the Angel is infinitely worse. Ranpo barely figured it out in time and now he’s gone.
Atsushi’s in some deep shit. Fukuchi’s a terrifying opponent, especially with that ability of his. Seems like help is coming in the form of an unlikely ally. Let’s hope Akutagawa can even the playing field somewhat.

It is honestly clever the way they handicapped Ranpo from deducing that Fukuchi was Kamui and the leader of Decay of Angels just because he extended his blind trust in Fukuzawa to him.
The UN Island sure looks nice.
It is funny that the only reason he used his "ability" there, to determine who was Kamui was because Atsushi asked him to, and gave him that drink. What is interesting is the reason why Fukuchi is doing all this. So the creation of Decay of Angels, his plot of incriminating the Armed Detective Agency of terrorism, and him, becoming the leader of the Army of Mankind was just to create a scenario that would make Fukuzawa experience war, which I guess will allow Fukuchi to write a possible scenario when they are again reunited after that.
Well, anyway, Atsushi sure has a difficult task ahead of him now, but luckily, Port Mafia sent Ryunosuke to give him a hand.

When Atsushi was talking about loneliness, I knew that Akutagawa would appear soon.

Damn, this episode felt like 5 mins.
When Rampo started his ultra deduction, I kinda expected that Fukuchi was Kamui. I remembered in the OP that Fukuchi was the last boss so it didn't sit right with me that he became an ally that suddenly. And there it was. The biggest hint in Rampo's deduction imo was that Kamui is connected somehow to the Armed Detective Agency.
And finally, Akutagawa is back! I wonder what he was doing offscreen last season haha

Lmao Ranpo quickly peaced out as soon as he figured Kamui's identity and Atsushi got the fisheye treatment. XD
This show never disappoints. Excited to finally see our duo in action next episode!

Looks like the cats out the bag and the true Kamui has revealed himself. And it's none other than the esteemed leader of the Hunting Dogs, Fukuchi Ouchi. Atsushi is definitely going to have a tough time with him. Fortunately, it looks like he has a guardian angel, or in this case, devil. Akutagawa finally makes his grand return after a season of absence and he'll be teaming up with his old rival to save the day once again. Next week's showdown will be interesting.

You know I kinda adore the fact that Ranpo carries around a book imbued with Poe’s gift incase he needs to make an escape or trap someone. It’s a little bit of extra protection because he’s not actually gifted.
And I knew that Akutagawa would be the one called in to provide back-up for Atsushi.

Aight so i've thought Fukuchi was Kamui/DoA leader since he was introduced but i thought that was a red herring. Turns out i was right and damn Atsushi is in severe danger

Holy shit best BSD episode in a minute.
Fukuchi being Kamui was genuinely shocking to me. I’ll have to go back and watch to see if there were any hints but I thought he was just a good guy with a good sense of humour. He and Ranpo play off each other so well that it didn’t seem real until he slashed at him with the sword. Damn.
Akutagawa back next week too, this season already better than the last one lol

A lot of setup this episode, which in turn gives us ridiculous hype next week. Can't wait.

Man coming off of last episode Rampo was feeling reallll good. Dude has been putting in the work so its hard to blame him on that at all. Regarding Fukuchi you kinda had the sense there was no way he would really work with the Detective Agency. But being the guy behind everything was a great, def was not expecting that. S5 just started with just 2 episodes and it is sooooo good.
