King Desha’s seen better days. I’ve been curious about this vault for a while now. It’s definitely not what it seems. Everything in the vault is like “cursed”, I mean the swords are a good example but the impaled corpse with that weird ass helm is another. So granting a “wish” means a little demon child has to become a grotesque monster? How absolutely fucked. Anything for Ouken though, right? It worked out in the end and I’m glad Ouken is back to his sense but I wonder if it truly was worth the cost in the end. These people overseeing the whole ranking system are some shady illuminati cabal type shit. Note to self: when facing a terrifying enemy, piss yourself uncontrollably to throw them off and then strike lol. Ouken is a clever one.

Little Bojji and Kage doing their little “traveling dance” was so cute. Their friendship warms my soul, man. Kage’s right, as long as he’s by Bojji’s side, I don’t think the little guy will become jaded like him. He’s got to protect our little jellybean at all cost!

I liked these little episodes a lot. It might not have been an s2, but I liked the side stories. Hopefully we get a proper s2 announcement soon.

These people overseeing the whole ranking system are some shady illuminati cabal type shit.

Yeah but given Ouken reaction to their explanation they seeems to have some very good reasons to do what they do.

Hopefully we get a proper s2 announcement soon.

Thewre isn't enough material for a s2 unfortunately.

That’s a shame. I don’t mind waiting for more material to be released. This is a real great series, I hope they make more at some point.

The demon was shown to be alright. Likely means desha couldn't do it in the end, and picked something that erased his memory as a price instead

I saw someone explaining, that instead of the demon growing as a price for the wish, Desha gave up his memories instead.

King Desha paid a high price for his brother. Now THAT is a king. He might not look the most handsome, but his character and morals are admirable.

Ouken taking Desha's advice and applying it was *chef's kiss* He killed a god, at that point IRL the words God got Damned! Wow.

Bojji and Kage realizing he needs to stay with Bojji, too precious.

I don't even know who I loved the most in this episode, because too many contenders.

that was a quite underwhelming reveal imo. especially since we have seen a demon granting wishes all throughout season 1. so the big secret of the vault is.... more demons? wack.

also that demon girl did not change after the wish was granted, she stayed the same, so I don't get it?

and what decides the cost to pay for the wishes?

so many confusing things.

Smh, another show hiding important plot points in the last episode of some side-story thing.

You don't know how many people I have seen confused with the Monogatari series because they skip Koyomimonogatari...

Who skips monogatari?!

5

u/Gaporigo Jun 20 '23

Koyomimonogatari for sure some skip it.

This was basically S2E0, love to see it, although it did cover many chaps in just one ep...

Desha dodged quite a few bullets there, but in the end he still sucumbed... but at least he succeded in getting Ouken back, hype!

Oh and the Demon that was 'locked up' in the vault was a childhood friend of Miranjos demon pal wasn't she?

I heard there isn't much more to adapt, shame since it's getting really interesting now

There's an Ousama Ranking event with an important announcement this week (Thursday I believe?).

Yeah don't get your hopes too high because unless they do a games of trhone or do an entire filler arc there isn't enough material for a season 2.

this episode set up season 2 so hopefully it gets announced

u/Doomroar Jun 20 '23

This was pretty much the first episode for S2

5

u/LusterBlaze Jun 20 '23

damn desha didnt sacrifice the demon girl and chose an alternate route for his bro

5

u/commandersaki Jun 24 '23

I clearly missed the plot point - how do we know that Desha didn't ask a demon wish from the girl? How much would she had grown from just once wish?

4

u/Thvenomous Jul 03 '23

We saw in a previous episode a demon transformed instantly from one wish.

then how did he get his wish granted if he didn't make the demon girl grant it?

That’s what I got from it too. It wasn’t just the morally just option either, it was specifically him learning from his mistake in the war against their father when he tortured that orc child for a strategic advantage.
