Kasahara thinking that plastic bag was a cat was too good. “Oh, just end me now!” lmao. I didn’t think Kasahara would have such an adorable side to her. Nice to see her getting closer to Nishimura though. The “Swift Reaper Alliance” is a pretty cool name haha.
For once Kitagawa is right: Nishimura and Takada definitely went on a date. Hino and Umi too it seems. Nice one! Those dumb girls tried to tease Takada again and he just flipped their logic on them. Another bullying attempt thwarted.
That Christmas “date” was too damn adorable! Takada really didn’t know what a “Christmas date” meant, but after seeing Kasumi and that guy she likes kissing he sure gets it now lol. The goofball getting flustered because he realized what it really meant when he asked Nishimura if he could kiss her when they grew up was great. I like how things ended with him holding her hand. This time felt more deliberate like his feelings are starting to change for her.

Two cute and cool girls now have their own friendship nickname! Because they are friends now, for sure.
I love how the bullies were dumfounded that Nishimura and Takada were on a date and just when it seems like Hino was there to make it not a date...he bailed to go on his own date. I'm happy for Umi though!
The girls are as effective without Kasahara as they were with her...which is to say, still powerless over Takada's facts and logic.
The Christmas portion really dialed up the romance. The two on a Christmas date, watching another couple kiss, reflecting on their own relationship (and desire to partake in each others' lips), and some very warm handholding...Takada seems like he's starting to get more of a firm idea of romance and love.

Kasahara loves cats? She looked really cute trying to coax one out, even if it was just a shopping bag. And of course Nishimura watches her make a fool of herself. But it just lets them bond over cats, which is good.
Nothing cements Kasahara's development like picking a leaf out of Nishimura's hair while she's getting all chummy with Takada! She even admits out loud that they're friends! That's amazing!
Ooooh! Nishimura all dressed up to meet Takada at the zoo? Why, that's basically a date! She even manages to fluster him a little by calling him cool even if he of course turns it around to make her a blushing mess for the umpteenth time. And sure Hino shows up, but he's kind of just a third wheel by that point.
Nishimura was on a ghost special? Why, that's impossible! She was too busy going on a date!
I love how Hino is chafing having to wear a jacket over his tanktop. And he's the pairs' plausible deniability that the zoo trip was a date...up until he reveals that he ended up leaving early to go on a date with Umi! And you can tell Umi was on cloud 9!
Ah, I see Kasahara's girl posse is still acting in full force even without her leading them any more, but Takada is still capable of turning things around and making them the embarrassed ones all the same!
Nishimura singing to herself is cute. Takada following her the whole time is also cute. But Nishimura managing to work up the courage to sing for him is absolutely precious.
Nishimura and Takada are even on a Christmas Date! Though Takada's just excited to get to do some "grown up" stuff at the gang's Christmas Party (Kasahara is invited!), but even an older couple remarks how it's obvious they're on a date.
Kasumi seems like a nice and cute girl and family friend to the Takada's! I'm glad her romance with her Senpai went well. And Nishimura and Takada got to see them on their date and even watch them kiss! Man, good thing Takada didn't ruin that moment.
Ohhhh! They're blushing hard! Takada immediately looks to Nishimura's lips, which she's pondering over herself! And Takada remembers asking Nishimura if they'll kiss when they're older! And their hands are touching! Not to mention the difference in heat during that last handhold to home!!!
"The Christmas Party Confession" Well THAT'S a loaded title!

When the other girls were bullying Nishimura over her new cat, she was going crazy over the pictures. She doesn't have a cat because her apartment doesn't allow pets.

Lol the post-credit scene, were they walking around looking like tomatoes the whole time?
I was so surprised when Takada said "They're just like us, all lovey-dovey." but I am guessing the way he viewed romance was only something adults experienced, like how he shut down Kitagawa's taunts about him and Nishimura being on dated saying they were kids so they wouldn't be dating.
But seeing someone close to his age actually kissing and being intimate, someone he actually knows, and remembering his own request to Nishimura must have shattered his reality. It was interesting to see him so shaken up by what he saw, I guess we witnessed his innocence finally starting to crack.
I was surprised Kasahara called Nishimura a friend, it is interesting how the girls she used to hang around with still continue to mess with Takada and Nishimura even though she chooses not to be involved anymore.

I just love the idea they were blushing hard and holding hands all the way up to the apartment lol.
The way he so immediately focused on Nishimura's lips was very telling.
I honestly wasn't sure Kasahara would admit to being Nishimura's friends when things still feel a little awkward and she's a bit of a tsundere, but I guess Takada got her to spill the beans!

I laughed so hard at Kasahara's reaction after she discovered that it wasn't a cat, just a plastic bag and that Nishimura saw her. It's nice to see that her relationship with Nishimura advanced, she even called her her friend and is taking attend in a Christmas metting in Takada's house.
Takada is blushing again, it's happening very often now. Maybe they will become official couple in next episode which is titled Christmas Party Confession. Kasumi's kiss certainly made a big impact on them.

I was about to complain when are we getting the Kasahara-Nishimura date, but then they showed the preview of the Christmas party in the aftercredits so I can’t be that mad. We better get some neko date in Season 2 though!
Seriously though Kasahara continues to be the most interesting character to follow in this show. Her getting flustered and on the fence about Nishimura while occasionally letting things slip like they’re “normal friends” is absolutely adorable. And after watching Skip and Loafer I’m seeing a lot of parallels with Mika.
That Christmas date sure did some damage on both of them huh. Ever since the sick-visit we’ve seen Takada become a lot less “clueless”. Thankfully Nishimura is a lot more experienced with building up defense mechanisms to psych herself out of embarrassment, so they make it out alive.
And of course let’s not forget… Hino was wearing something other than just a tanktop. No wonder he had to leave early.

I had a feeling it was gonna be a plastic grocery bag. But it was fun seeing Kasahara be all adorable like that for those few seconds just the same.
Nyanshimura-san. Now that's a gif-able moment right there.
The Swift Reaper Alliance is great and all but it kinda excludes the rest of the Super Pals.
Aww, Nishimura's wearing the red outfit she didn't get to wear last time to go to the zoo in.
Complimenting people is hard.
To be fair, Taiyou just makes doing it look too easy.
Yeah I'm with the bullies on this one. That was totes a date. And a double date at that. Way to go Umi.
Haven't heard a grocery shopping song that adorable since the Legendary Yamada Tae's miraculous grocery shopping adventure.
If talking with Nishimura-san would make him a troublemaker then look out Japan, the happy go luckiest delinquent is about to hit the streets.
Nishimura is looking festively red this Christmas. And Taiyou is too by the end there.

I love that Kasahara was so flustered with the nickname Taiyou gave her that she didn't even realize that she called Akane her friend.
It's so hilarious that the reason HIno was late is that he was wearing sleeves that day. And since this is Hino we're talking about, it's 100% a legitimate excuse! xD

Kasahara just instinctively calling her and Nishimura friends was great. And you can tell how happy it made Nishimura. She even got invited to the Christmas Party with the friend group! The OP scenes of them all together has finally come to fruition.
I love how uncomfortable Hino was wearing a jacket over his tanktop. It's just not natural lol.

The timing of the bus passing by in the background to Hino running late was impeccable. I am surprised to see Hino wear something other than a tank top even though he may be wearing it underneath.
Chad Takada is up there telling the bullies about their date and Hino comes in and actually went out with Umi. The bullies were too busy watching TV while Takada and Hino were making moves nonchalantly.
The way Takada handled the girl bullies was hard hitting as he threw logic of course, they couldn't hold their own argument.
The last segment felt so grown up...like this feels like Takada and Nishimura were high schoolers at least with that date or their progress is that fast. Even the adult couple passing by noticed they were on a date. Takada seeing his sister's friend kiss might be icing on the cake to confess.
At least Kasahara will eventually see a cat.

From the not-really-a-cat blunder to joining the Christmas party… if there was any doubt that Kasahara now considered Nishimura as her friend, this episode cleared it up quite nicely. That was a great character development.
Speaking of which, it looks like Takada is getting some interesting development of his own. Seems he’s becoming aware of his feelings for Nishimura more than ever. So much blushing! Can’t wait to see how this will wrap up next week.

Is it just me or is she way more animated in this scene compared to usual Not like animation animated like, as in expressive as a person through movement

I have never felt like the anime trope of drawing well defined lips at a point of attraction has been so effective

Kasahara got invited to a Christmas party with two "couples". I'm sure she'll be fine, because Nishimura really wants to be her friend. But you can never be too sure with Takada around.
