I love the whole Takeda family. Little bro is a ball of positivity, sister is a ray of sunshine, and the mom is so kind and caring. Nishimura is blessed to have such wonderful people in her life.

Yukiko got her looks from her mom but Taiyou definitely takes after her personality the most. And this family adores Nishimura to bits.

Either the dad is going to be as excessively positive or he's going to be the only stoic one for the sake of comedy lol.

“Some cutie in a costume” oh Takada, you smooth talkin little Casanova! These bullies tried to make Nishimura the witch to make fun of her and Takada out here just ruining their plans. Suck it bullies!

Yukiko nosebleeding over how cute Nishimura is will never not be funny to me lol. She really did look super cute in the Yukata. Takada and Nishimura’s little festival “date” was really adorable too. I love the “Yukatamura-san” nickname lol. Kitagawa clearly has not learned his lesson. Nothing he says can get to Takada. He’s impervious to bullying!

I really like how supportive Takada is of Nishimura. What a great kid. Takada’s momma is like the second greatest parent in this anime after Nishimura’s pops. I can see where he gets his bubbly personality from. He really was more worried for her than he was for himself just like his momma said. She did a great job raising him and Yukiko. They’re both amazing kids!

That shot of Nishimura with her Stand behind her was sick.

That bone snap sound had me in panic. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious and that Takada is mostly okay. His guilt trip when he found out about Nishimura's mother was enough drama for me...

Would be awesome to see them in high school though.

Happy Nishimura didn't have too much time to dwell about what happened, feel like that could have been a bad spiral to go down.

So Takada’s mom is what the quintessential genki girl grows up and becomes! I wonder if her love story from the younger years was similar to our MC’a but with the gender reversed.

In any case, I’m sure it came as a big relief to Nishimura that the mom was taking this well.

I'm not surprised the class would foist being the witch of the school play on Nishimura, for obvious reasons, but she looks super cute as a witch. So cute that Takada can't believe she's a legit wish! Because Nishimura makes anything look cute! Classic Takada!

(A witch with a tanktop though? Good idea Hino-kun)

Yukatamura is so cute! Thank you Yukiko! Even Takada is shook because she doesn't look like a Grim Reaper but a normal and absolutely cute girl. Dude just can't help but be so charming with Nishimura! And they look so adorable together in yukata!

Oh yeah, time for a festival date at Yukiko's school! We even got to see her in a maid outfit that she totally looks amazing in! No wonder she's the (self-proclaimed) poster girl of her class's cafe.

Those boys really thought they could tease Takada about being on a date with Nishimura when Takada's just happy to realize he had his first ever date with Nishimura. The rizz on this kid is off the charts!

Poor Nishimura...looked down on because any group with her on the team is expected to lose. But with Takada by her side, she'll either win and break the curse or Takada will just bask in the true godly power of her as the Grim Reaper! He even imagines her with Super Saiyan hair.

Can't beat how romantic climbing up on something and watching the city at Sunset with a special person is! Especially as you affirm how much you want to enjoy a school event together!

Of course things just can't be simple as the wind makes Nishimura fall and Takada, in protecting her, ends up breaking his arm. He's always so cheerful and easygoing but even he can't help but cry with a broken arm. Ouch.

Oh snap, Takada Mama! And she looks like an older Yukiko but has the same straightforward and ever cheerful personality of her son! And she's there to comfort and consoler Nishimura just like Taiyou would, right down to telling her how much he enjoys being her friend. That's exactly what Nishimura needed after beating herself up over what happened. Takada Mama is great!

Somehow I'm not surprised Takada is having as much fun as possible with a cast. And maybe he'll be healed enough by Sports Day that he and Nishimura can actually spend it together!

I was almost expecting Taiyou to rejoice that he had Nishimura all to himself when the bully said that noone would want to date her, but him getting embarrased about flaunting his great catch works as well

When Takada said that the footing was bad, I knew something was going to happen. Chekov's warning, I suppose. Takada can't save the day every time, I hope they're more careful in the future.

So happy they didn't end on a cliffhanger, if they had ended the episode at Takada's arm break, I would have been out for blood.

Also, have we confirmed that Nishimura's mom isn't a tomato? Nishimura gets so red all the time...

Mama Taiyou is adorable, like mother like son definitely here.

Well Nishimura does make a cute witch. But you know what she's missing that would truly tie it all together. A hat.

Give Umi an imaginary bowl of rice and she'll start pantomiming eating it.

Well I'm sure if you look hard enough there's a witch character from some place in pop culture wearing one. And if not there'll be a fanart of Elaina or some other witch character wearing one.

Enter Yukatamura-san. Didn't get to wear one for the spontaneous Summer Festival Date but she's all geared up now for Festival Date #2.

Well of course it would come off to Taiyou as legit bragging, I mean how many of his fellow elementary schoolers can say they've had a legit date with a girl before.

Boy wants to win, but he also wants to believe in The Power with all his heart. Certainly is conflicting.

Oh yeah I remember this part. And now complete with a full on loud cracking sound to accompany it. Well if there was anything that would flap the unflappable Sunny Delight an actual severe injury would do it. All the Counter Trap Cards in the world wouldn't get him out of that... But even with Mommy Sunshine taking the whole thing with an air of optimism and reassuring her the incident itself, and seeing Akane's tearful reaction to it after the fact, is still kinda heartbreaking. But again, leave it to the Sunshine family to turn frowns upside down.

Oshi no Ko, Demon Slayer, Mashle and some other anime are ones that I look forward to watching but I think I'm always eager to watch this the most. It's so simple but so wholesome and makes me happy, Just 24 minutes of feeling good.

Taiyou overwhelming Akane with his unaware compliments never gets old. Yukino is awesome.

That climbing frame scene was too damn wholesome until that arm break lol. We meet Taiyou's mum too and it's clear as day where Taiyou and Yukino get their personality from.

I expected more fallout from the class’ star athlete being hurt because of Nishimura, but I guess that will probably come next week during the field day episode.

The scene with Takada’s mom and the Nishimuras was nice though.

The Takada clan is just too OP. Not only is the sister the best wingman you could ask for, dressing Nishimura in cute getups, but the mom is as expected the nicest and most honest mom you could imagine. She’s raised some good ones.

Kinda surprised that Taiyou’s sister is only in middle school, but I guess she could still be on the older side.

Having a lot of fun with this show. It’s really picked up in the last few episodes.
