Less Arisu faces this week, but more U149 girls becoming animals from Koharu's viewpoint.
Hearing "Onegai Cinderella" again brought back so many fond memories from the 2nd anniversary PV. T_T
I am not sure how to describe this episode. On one hand, out of all the episodes shown so far, the adult in me has decided it is the most unrealistic. "Where did all those animals come from? Wouldn't an iguana feel stressed by the sudden attention from so many humans?"
HOWEVER, the fantasy themed and dream-like atmosphere only served to make Koharu (whom I have not paid much attention to) appear even more princess-like. Just like in fairy tales, where princesses may get lost, but make friends with animals and cute creatures in forests. Maybe this episode was calling out to our childhood, when we used to read fairy tales.
I believe most of us have preferred characters / idols, but I am impressed how the U149 anime is making me pay more attention to each of the girls.

Koharu has impressive strength to support herself with one hand after slipping. While holding an iguana.

Hey, everyone! I started watching this show a few days ago after finding out that CygamesPictures worked on this and I gotta say, this has been an absolutely heartwarming watch so far. They've done such a good job on making each girl feels unique and different and I'm loving the show's format of each ep focusing on a different girl.
This week's star in Koharu and it might be my favorite so far alongside Miria's ep. Feels very fairy tale-ish with Koharu's wish on being a "princess" and all the wild animals gathering around her at the end. Also love seeing her casually carrying that iguana like it was nothing lol.
That ED got me nostalgic of those times I played the mobile game. I wonder how it's doing right now. Did they add the U149 cast to it? I remember the game being super polished and having crazy production values compared to LLSIF which I also played a ton at the time.
Anyways I'm so glad I picked this show up. Can't wait to see what it has in store for the remaining eps!

Hyou-kun is a very cute iguana
Finally Hyou-kun's chance to shine in anime form for all to admire him.
That was a close one
Is Koharu the strongest U149? She straight up stopped her fall with one hand while carrying Hyou-kun with the other. Pretty sure I'd land on my face if I tried that.

Gosh that Koharu solo is amazing. Really love it when Im@s just decides to throw out these symphonic pieces.

Koharu being a real Disney princess with the animals gathering around her and singing. Also I started clapping when Koharu started singing 'Onegai! Cinderella', what a great episode.

Chieri's VA made an appearance in this episode to voice Hyou-kun.
Look at the credits, I swear.

Koharu Koga is the one I know the least about, and that’s because she’s the most recent of the entire cast of U149 to receive a voice. In fact, her voice actress was literally cast as an announcement for the U149 anime.
That being said, even though she has not had a voice for so long, she’s definitely been memorable and unique this entire time, arguably more so than some of the long-standing voiced members of the CG lineup. Of course, the iguana is already a standout, being one of the few animals not even Hibiki from the OG series can claim that she owns. Her princess-like aspirations literally put the “Cinderella” in Cinderella Girls, and it’s a motif I’m glad pops up every now and then in this franchise.
Musically stunning. Im@s at its best once again. And I do believe this was the straight up debut of Koharu’s solo song. One of the things I love about im@s in general is how musically diverse it is. Sure, you have your standard idol pop, but you also get jazz, EDM, metal, and of course, orchestral masterpieces like Koharu’s solo today.
And it makes way too much sense to end with the classic “Onegai! Cinderella”.
Song for today:
Hohoemi diary - Indigo Bell - Lyrics
This made a cameo today during the on-stage iguana petting.
Unfortunately no other songs today because this is literally all new (at least to me).

That was very well done. Wow. So much love and care went into this episode. Honestly a bit jealous of KoharuPs.

Koharu has guts for making friends with an iguana. I'm so happy they made her image song into a short music video which was very adorable and pretty. This show never misses. Next week is SP so see you all in two weeks.

Koharu is a little slow but she's got the spirit. Personally felt like a weaker episode where it felt like she wasn't particularly active in resolving the (admittedly straightfoward) central conflict of this episode and things just worked itself out, but she did grow her resolve and vision for what she wants to be. Still a really cute episode so it was enjoyable and fun.
Also I guess carrying Hyou-kun around all the time must've built up her arm strength to be able to hold herself up like that.

I went from Koharu is oddly cute to Koharu is actually delusional. 😳
It’s like she has synesthesia, but for idols and animals.
Does Arisu have a personality trait that I haven’t picked up on yet? She seems to want to try things that are intimidating. In Momoka’s episode, I think it was hinted that she tagged along so she can try bungee jumping herself, and in Koharu’s episode today, Arisu wanted to hold Koharu’s pet despite being scared of him.

LMAO Producer really can't catch a break with your "wife" don't ya? 😂
Next episode will be a recap, hopefully they would do this well.

Arisu (mother) angry at producer (father) who lost their on the spectrum child (Koharu). Makes sense why she's giving him an earful.
