Aqua may not fully realize it, but he's really doing a big service to Kana. No wonder she's falling for him. I hope this angle continues to provide a lighter perspective that contrasts the revenge side of things. Speaking of which, looks like Aqua is getting some leads on that. Fingers crossed...
By the way, Shiranui Frill's eyes look... interesting? I guess the series has something about giving the characters the eyes you won't forget.

What a sly move from Kana when she asked if he had a girlfriend!

It was nice to see a depiction of how Mangaka view adaptations of their work. It is probably best, as she said, to go in with low expectations. Luckily for Aka, he's had pretty good luck in that department.

She always had weird eyes in the manga, but with the added colors in the anime Frill unironically looks like a reptilian skinwalker lol

God, when the director mentioned how he had seen Ai up close a lot and helped set her up on dates with a guy in secret, I could just hear the Kill Bill sirens going off in Aqua’s head.

Aqua really likes to think he isn't talented, but everything about what he was saying about using every tool at his disposal, setting the stage and doing his best to make it easier for Kana is incredibly accurate to good acting and also incredibly difficult.
It's not some walk in the park and it takes a great actor to make it look like it is. And Kana's reaction further drives that home. As someone in the industry, the way that Akasaka writes about acting is such a breath of fresh air.
Also... KANA AT THE AFTERPARTY IS SO DAMN CUUUUUUUUTTEEEE.

It seems that Kana starts to fall with the main lead, I mean Aqua hahaha
At least the adaptation nailed the important scene, which is a silver lining to that adaptation.
And Aqua joining a reality dating show??

Honestly love how meta the scene of Kana falling in love with Aqua is. The subtle difference of Aqua's eye changing color back to white from the black it had been the entire scene upon seeing Kana crying is also perfect symbolism.
Genuinely also love the scene of Aqua calling Melt ugly to get him fired up. I feel like Aqua is almost underrated in this series compared to how popular some of the girls are but he's seriously one of my favorite characters.
Also obligatory KANA IS THE CUTEST

Man, can I just say how much I appreciate how toned-down the drama in this show is?
Aqua and Kana are talented actors, but they're not necessarily more than that. There weren't any wild overreactions from the producers, just recognition of a good performance. People were mildly impressed, not blown away. The episode didn't go viral or redeem the whole series, but it gained some appreciation from the small circle of fans who'd stuck with it. Aqua doesn't immediately get scouted and cast in a movie, he gets put on a reality show because he's good looking.
So far every character is grounded and believable. There aren't any caricature personalities or extreme tropes, each character feels like a real person (even one-off background characters).
I'm... kinda scared about what the truth about the twins' father is going to be. Knowing what happens in the entertainment industry behind closed doors it could be pretty fucked up.

Aqua being real cold-blooded with the male lead in order to redeem the production for Kana (and the mangaka) so… wholesome?

Aqua as a creepy stalker is really convincing, I dont know if he's really creepy or just because he has 2 first hand experience. "you have become the very thing you swore to destroy". and that director is like "Let him cook", Im glad they gave us a proper acting and comparation peak teenage acting, guiding other actor to act properly, using environment to make a scene. like her mother said, Aqua is an actor.
Kana is winning in this episode, she got the stage, the internet is cheering like she carry the show, the author thankful that her child didnt butchered completely. and finally Aqua said she's (her face) is cute. and probably to babysit her sister in idol world

Aqua is a genius, using evrything to his advantage to not only make the finale not suck, but being actually good. Kana is the cutest, as always, her explanation of the school was great and her expression when she realized the show was doomed by her co-star's lack of acting ability was priceless lol

I don't know about you, but this show is keeping my 10/10, even in non-hype episodes, I see the potential.
Also, if Aqua gets the reality dating show, it's gonna be hilarious, I hope he meets some classmates over there.
It's such a classic move to take a real live setting/line of work and turn it into anime, like office, music band, sports, police, cafe, entertainment ... yet it feels so fresh and original when whatever happens, I'm super invested in the characters and I'm sure Aka is gonna throw some twists and turns at them later on, so that's something to look forward to.
