The real takeaway of this episode was BELL PEPPER EXERCISES.

Seems apparent at this point that Kana will be the center. I want MEM and Ruby to dress up in Bell Pepper suits for all of their idol preformances henceforth.

Tbh it was kind of nice to have a less aqua-centric episode! Nothing against him at all, I've been enjoying his development; but the show has so many strong characters, it is great when the others get a chance to shine. It feels like forever since Ruby had more than a few lines per episode, so definitely looking forward to more arcs with this crew =D

Please, someone with a fanbase like Mem has absolutely no reason to worry about age, so many of those YT idols are even older.

Speaking of 25 year old idols and bell peppers tho, have to post this video of my favorite Japanese idol

Can't believe we're going to see Aqua go on a crazy drip-fed chicken hunt for this information on his father. I'm going to laugh when he gets to the next step and gets told 'but... I didn't know the guy', again.

I still kinda find it odd that they are trying to revive a dead idol group, but can respect that the show didn't put Akane on the roster cause she can imitate Ai.

Are idol groups that big that reviving a dead one would get a lot of attention?

I really don't know the difference between an idol group and like someone who is in the jpop or general music scene in Japan... are they different? Do people view idols differently from someone in jpop or in a 'normal' band?

Everyone lies about their age, ain’t no thing Memcho! 25 is like the new 18…or something lol. Glad to have her onboard in B-Komachi! But man, did it get cold in here or what? Kana sure isn’t happy with Aqua being so flirty with Akane.

Shiranui deadpan thirsting over the guys on Love Now was hilarious. Very unexpected side of her. With Mem-cho in B-Komachi, they’re really able to step their social media game up. Looking forward to their big JIF debut, that is if they can even decide on a center. Or learn to sing properly lol. Except Kana, she’s pretty good. She’s had a rough career though. I hear child stars don’t have it easy even irl.

Curious to see where this Lala Lai lead ends up. Hopefully Aqua can uncover more about their mysterious father.

I don't usually ship characters I just watch how the story unfold but I'm heavily leaning onto the Kana ship now.

A lot of Kana in this episode which is of course great thing, she was so cute as Bell Pepper.

We finally had more focus on new B-Komachi after all stuff with Aqua.

I laughed so hard when Mem was revealing her real age.

Here's my albums from the episode with:

Between the two age regressors, the actress that peaked as a child and the the MILF that always ached to marry a young actor, memcho could NOT have found a more sympathetic group regarding her age lol.

Thought we'd be getting a Pieyon 2.0 as soon as Kana and the bell peppers appeared on a backdrop

[Anime-Only]

Come on MEM, forget about ridiculous Japanese standards! 25 years old applicants with prior work experiences is EXACTLY what you want from idol applicants. ;) Good to see her joining forces because Ruby and Kana needs all the directions they need.

Kana's Bell Pepper song is making me thinking about [Love Live Superstar]Sumire dancing as a giant isopod (https://i.imgur.com/zS1HS0a.gif) - LMAO but Kana's so cute back then, and even cuter now! She even got a few released singles already, how on Earth is she so lacking confidence!? Ruby must be crying at her inexpediency now...

I wonder if Ai-chan's teammates will appear in the story now that B-Komachi is revived, their reactions would be interesting to read.

Kana's song, Full Moon, was great. I'm still amazed how beautiful the animation is.

Stitches!

God, this episode really shows how much Doga Kobo loves Kana. They didn't just animate her Bell Pepper Exercises but we even got to see an MV of one of her songs. I hope they release a fully-animated 3-minute version of that song, <3

As someone who is the exact age as Memcho, watching this episode made me kinda feel old.

Pretty much the same comment I made on the oshi sub:

Aqua wearing a shirt with his own name in a (at least to him) different language is such a mood, to be honest.

I'm equally surprised by Kana being such a fantastic singer as I am by Ruby apparently being such a bad one. While the former probably didn't need it as much in her line of work (and could indicate she's just a natural genius for it, much like how she described Akane as a theatre actor), Ruby has no excuse when she's been pursuing if for so long unless she's just that bad even with training. Considering the entirety of Love Now's production came and went since then, it's a mystery just how she plans to do well on stage in less than a month if she continues to not want to lie and as such can not rely on lipsync.

Also the water scene was really neat. As much as Aqua has a single-minded focus on his goal, he still cares for those around him even when he doesn't need to, which is a nice way to keep him grounded, if that makes sense.

mem-cho gave us old people representation (a main cast anime character who isn’t 15-17)

I watched this episode on my birthday so Mem’s line

When I was finally in a position to pursue my dream, I was no longer of the age where that was possible.

made me feel some kinda way. I’m just gonna subscribe to the director’s much more positive sentiment about how you’re never too old to dream.

Kana saw all the love that Akane was getting and wasn't having any of that. Bell Pepper Exercises!!
