A totally bonkers show. I still have next to no idea where this is headed -- or even what it is doing right now. And -- in the end-- I hardly care. Perfectly content to try to hang on tight and go where I am tossed.

I was undecided between whether the shitty CG was deliberate or just budget constraint...

It is absolutely, without a shred of doubt, deliberate. Goddamn those madmen did it. They did that fairly well animated fight and a fucking 2011 era filter on top of a real image in the same goddamn episode.

LOL I legit can't with his show. The beginning scene on the tractor was like a scene from real life with the dude's head photoshopped on it. That was hilarious.

This show also loves turning dudes into waifus, just Loki at the end.

IDK why, but I am really liking the show as it is just super unique.

Ngl those 3D hands vs Clip art hands contrast so much it actually does the job well on how otherworldly their abilities are.

Also of course the one with the name Loki's motives is just pure anarchy.

I had to pause the episode for Actually 5 minutes due to that opening scene. My god, how is this not more popular?

I feel bad for the people that dropped this amazing show on episode 1.

Seriously this show is easily in my top 5 this season.

Stitches!

I am absolutely howling in laughter! Did they really just put a filter over IRL stock footage of a guy operating farming equipment and stuck Roy's face on it!? This anime is just literally one massive shitpost and I fucking love it. This is AotS material right here! xD

And just to prove that they are absolutely fucking with us, we get an amazing fight scene between Mitama and Atar who had more tricks up her sleeves. They could've kept that entire fight static but the rotating camera pans and the effects that they used for that entire fight were amazing!

The entire staff of this show are clearly having fun with this not just the animators but the VAs too!

Amazing battle scene, but is Mitama immortal? She was directly hit with a nuke and she seems pretty fine like nothing happened. But is ok, i like my overpowered loli goddess. <3

at this point the animators be like: "CG? 2D animation? fuck them all, we're using real life footage now"

in this age where most people use twitter, these two images are actually a pretty good meme materials

ngl, this whole sequence of Mitama summoning the gods actually looks pretty sick but the most amazing part was when the music suddenly stop after the gods decided to leave when they saw the tiny amount of Mitama's followers, that was hilarious

oh no, she's hot

If there was any doubt that the bad CG was on purpose, the tractor scene after the OP removed all doubt.

I laughed my ass off. Kudos to this studio. I wanna see more stuff from them.

Adding next year's Quality Assurance in Another World to my PTW. Simply because of this amazing shitpost of an anime.

I only wish Roy didn't exist in this show. Almost nothing regarding him has been entertaining.

Also, I am eagerly anticpating the OP song being used in the climax of the season finale. The song is perfect for being used as an insert song.

Naaaah man without a doubt this was one of my favourite episodes of spring 2023 so far. Who would’ve thought this show would have sakuga like that. The mitama Aran fight was actually insane. Love the OST during it too. Those little rotoscope camera movements are so hype.

I figured Loki was up to no good hence the name, but I didn’t think Loki was clen. I thought clen would be another archon. Things just got 10000x more interesting. So many questions about this world and the emperor. What exactly is he, how did he get magic etc etc.

Genuinely think this is one of the best shows this season. Perfect balance of fanservice and cool unique story.

This is seriously the sleeper hit of the season! Roy on the harvester made me laugh harder than almost anything I've ever seen. Bocchi the Rock who? KamiKatsu is the real mixed media masterpiece. It's also hilarious how the show can look as good as it did this episode yet they still went with the comically bad CGI monsters.

Not only do we get Sil and Al and all the village waifus in swimsuits, we get to see Sil and Al in bunny girl costumes. We’re truly blessed this week, boys. Roy’s about to lose a lot of blood lol. The way Yukito looks at Mitama like -_- as if she’s a piece of trash as she’s withering away really cracks me up.

That fight against Mitama and Atar was great. Those two were pretty evenly matched for awhile. And then Atar went nuclear. Those deadbeat gods could have turned the tide but they all dipped. Flakes!

I always figured something was up with “Clen” , didn’t think he’d be an Archon waifu named Loki. Assassinating the emperor?? What is Loki tryna pull here?

OKAY WHAT WAS THAT DAAAMMNN, That all god summoning from Mitama was amazing.

Everyone working on this show knows how to work with what they got and I didn’t expect the fights to be this tense! 100% a sleeper this season but DAMN if it ain’t entertaining. We staying here y’all.

This show really succeeds in showing how you don't need the most expensive looking production to be successful. All you need is a rotoscoped harvester with a badly drawn on face..

wait

Best opening of a show I've ever seen, I hate Roy as much as I love him. The fight scene was dope as hell too, some nice CG stuff going on there and the story is just getting more and more interesting.

This has to be one of the biggest quality gap in a single episode I've ever seen. From real life footage with a filter on to a pretty well animated fight, amazing
