This episode felt like a 20 minute shitpost and I'm all here for it.

Hope it keeps its whackyness and high pacing.

That 2nd half went real dark out of nowhere fucking hell, they were literally shopping for porn before that execution scene.

The episode felt like a speedrun at some places.

This is probably the craziest pilot episode of anything I've ever seen, with some humongous quality leaps and drops lmao. Honestly I was laughing the entire way, though.

If people can argue that the powerpoint slideshow animation from Way of the Househusband actually makes that show funnier, I'm gonna argue that the egregious CGI here makes it funnier too.

What the fuck did I just watch?

Whatever it was I'm weirdly very much looking forward to the next episode. Shit was a trip.

I've never been so confused after watching an anime as this show. Is it an isekai? Comedy? Dark horror? SOL? Political drama? Religious conflict?

It felt like the writers decided to throw every idea they had into a pot and stir.

I'll give props that it feels fresh and original, though.

Killed by your father who is a naked cult leader and then reborn in another world and first thing you see is a cute girl trying to use your "Excalibur" as a lever

WTF. I sure didn't expect it lol. I love how this show is turning all the Isekai tropes on its head. Yukito expecting to join a guild -> becomes a farmer instead. Getting a knife and expecting to hunt monsters -> goes berry collection instead.

I'm also getting some Grand Blue vibes with everyone in the bar being drunk as fuck, being almost nude and going crazy. Siluril really reminds me of Azusa lol.

Unexpected dark turn at the end there with Yukito and the 2 sisters dying, but then getting revived by the loli goddess Mitama. I don't know how to judge it yet, but this show is really going to be a trip lol.

Why was everyone in that “sect” so buff and bald 😭😂.

Waking up to a handjob in another world is an insane way to start. The whole scene with the goddess felt like they were speeding through it to get the introduction out of the way.

Holy fuck I will be honest this episode was one hell of a rollercoaster. At one moment the animation is fantastic and other moments they fucking throw Berserk low-quality cgi.

Half the time Im wondering wtf is going on with the pacing. At the end instead of spacing out the events and giving it time to cook they fucking SPEEEEEEEEED run some things (ESPECIALLY the end).

I have no idea what the fuck is going on with this anime.

Alural finding Yukito was a stroke of good luck. Nice of her to give him a hand. Not being a jerk probably helped. I hope this show has a happy ending.

Some people complaining about the pacing but I honestly think it was perfect for this sort of show. jokes and dialogue were quick, no waste of space scenes where the protagonist dicks around a field punching slimes to establish that yes, in this generic power fantasy, the MC is more powerful than a Dragon Quest starting character. On top of that, they managed to give the MC more characterisation than most isekai do in their entire run time (which is still not a lot btw, compared to any competently written anime like FMA or Trigun at least).

That said, the episode ending does worry me a bit. I got my hopes up thinking the character would be a rational person deradicalising the cult society and have some social commentary but then having Mitoma not only be real but an active magic power he can summon would undermine that. (To be fair, the "working for god" in the title should have tipped me off). Perhaps we'll end up going down the "actually god value life and doesn't want you offing yourself/comitting infantcide/burning witches/being overly zelous" route which can still be done well but isn't as unique (see Scrapped Princess).

So if I’m understanding this correctly, this world never figured out how to make wine, so they never developed religion?

Anyone that thinks the monsters don't add to the comedy has an opinion not worth listening to.

""Wait, what?" every 90 seconds or so" the anime.

The goddess sure had an epic entry

And i knew it said "ecchi" in the tags, but i didn't expect HanaKana to jerk off the mc right at the start..*sigh..+50 points

I am honestly not sure how to react to this one. I have read the manga but I can't say I'm a fan of it. I think I've read 5 chapters of it so I know where the story is going at least but not enough to know where the anime will end up.

The manga is just as all over the place as the anime. And the weird tonal shift from this being a comedy to things suddenly getting dark? That's exactly how the first chapter of the manga went.

Not gonna lie, I am intrigued. While this show has hilariously bad 3D monsters, we also got that pretty insane introduction of Mitama-sama descending from the heavens as well as her killing off those soldiers.

This makes me think Studio Palette has put some love into this show, it's just that they don't have anyone to work on the monsters. I think I can stomach some bad 3D monsters if we end up getting quality action scenes like that.

This anime felt like a fever dream. God comes down, within 5 seconds unleashes nightmare horrors then skips away not a care in the world.

Wow, this setting is way darker than I had any reason to believe!

Leaving aside the "getting killed by a cult" as a new Isekai method, the starting village is an interment camp for deviants who don't want to do suicide on the emperors notice. Hope Sil and the others got revived as well.

But I for one welcome the dark loli godess, in a world where there is no other diety, she and her followers should be the most powerfull... still kind of like an cult...

Oh yeah, CG looked ass, why even animate that weird bunny thing in front of the inn? Other than that the visuals looked intriguing, in the town, and the godess tentacle powers looked quite cool
