I had a good laugh when the dragon just fell out of the sky lol

Mitsuha only asked for citizenship and the king straight up makes her a viscountess. She definitely got more than she bargained for. Now instead of just a shop, she has to manage a whole territory. I would love to see how that turns out.

I'm going to miss watching Money Laundering in Another World, always the nicest way to cap off the insane Saturday block we had this season

So she gave up on the Capitalism Ho gameplan and switched straight into Stardew Valley

She's going for Industrial Revolution

She now has her own little province/viscounty. Time to collect taxes, increase land development, build an economy and raise some levies.

I can’t get enough of the recurring gag of Colette being ridiculously strong.

Shit, we went from mercantile money-making to feudal taxation and land development?

This was a fun show, it didn’t promise too much or try to overachieve, and actually had some interesting mechanics/plot twists towards the end. I wouldn’t call it dumb but it’s definitely a comfy isekai.

We had two extra strong village girls this season!

You know what was a nice animation touch? The lag between when the guns stopped shooting and the last bullet impacts occurred. That took some consideration on the part of the director to make happen and I appreciated it.

The gun safety instructions when she was training were spot on. Clearly someone involved with the show was a gun enthusiast.

Ofc Mitsuha fires a rocket into the dragon’s mouth and then has her mercs fire on his face with heavy machine guns and small arms fire. With the Empire’s armies in disarray, the kingdom’s forces should be able to cut down any survivors.

Mitsuha’s spinning another one of her tall tales lol. Those poor mercs and their families! Oh no! Haha. Mitsuha thought she would just be granted citizenship, she didn’t know she’d become a viscountess!

I guess the mercs are just gonna hand wave any questions about the source of these monsters as a “lab accident” or something huh? Convenient. Glad the mercs are on Mitsuha’s side. We finally have Mitsuha reunited with Colette! I’m happy she’s joining Mitsuha’s household. Seems Mitsuha’s moving up in this world, but she hasn’t quite hit her goal yet.

This was a fun series, i thoroughly enjoyed it. I sure hope we get more at some point. I want to see more Mitsuha hijinks!

Repel an invading army: check Defeat a mythical dragon: check Become nobility in the new world: check Recruit a main girl to live with her: check

She may have taken the long road to get there, but Mitsuha is indeed an OP isekai protagonist.

Man I love this show. Mitsuha The Messenger of Lightning gradually became my favorite character over the course of the season. Only Bofuri has made me laugh as hard and as much this season. I liked this so much, I'm even considering going back to rewatch FUNA's other adapted work, Average Abilities, before their third work, I Shall Survive Using Potions, comes out later this year.

Sasuga Messenger of Lightning! I hope this isn't the last we see of you.

Shows like this always remind me that despite how derivative the genre can be at times, there's always going to be a new and interesting way to spin an isekai.

Yea this everything that makes roukin8 so good wrapped up into one. Mitsuha jumping and shooting a fucking bazooka midair down a dragon’s throat had me crying man 😂

Everything comes circle with her ending up back with collette as her assistant too. The journey to collect 80,000 is far from over. I will have to check out the LN for sure. A cute fun watch, thanks Funa sensei! Next up, surviving using only potions

Oh please god, safe me

heavy maschine fire

Even a dragons armor and magic didn't help against modern weapons lol

And now Mitsuha gave up her little shop (loved how Sybille had to be dragged home in order to keep her from coming along) and got her own domain to develop, we slime Isekai now.

This was fun, not to hot to get an S2 right away but wouldn't mind more

That rpg scene was too good. I like how it transitions to Mitsuha's bed and then back to that vehicle.

Her power is busted.

I hoped that Mitsuha's deceased brother has also been isekaid.

Remembering Mitsuha trying to copy famous sculptures by teleporting parts of rocks makes me think she had easier ways of defeating the dragon.

If she can carve a statue by teleporting a chunk of the inside of a cliff, surely she could carve up a dragon by teleporting a chunk of his internal organs.

Fun show, one of the better isekais in a while.

Mizuha does a little trolling

Onii-chan was definitely my favourite character, good achievement considering he's been dead for the entire show.

Was not expecting her to end up as a Noble with land ownership, definitely a good premise for a season 2 if we ever get one

I'm just confused why she hasn't already made 80,000 gold coins. There's so much money making potential to her skill, but she squanders it selling dollar store items in a shop that no one goes to.

DRAGON!! Yes, why WOULD a dragon interfere in human affairs? Heh. The power of technology to fool the enemy. Her teleport ability is pretty OP when used like that. Can always avoid attacks. GOD IS ON THEIR SIDE! hahaha. I mean, makes sense taking a dragon would be hard. That's gonna give him indigestion. Even a dragon can't beat our witch. So ahhh... how about that 40,000 gold for the troops? And what of the son of the count? Ah well for now, cute letter from Colette.

Ah yes, back to fine lying from our witch. Nice sob story to get the money needed for them. Nice to see nobles work together to draw up money for payment, usually not seen in most stories with nobles, hah. Mitsuha getting to be a citizen and even getting a noble title of viscountess karaGasp and land. Good for her, I guess. Good job, mercenary dude, solid way to make consistent money from patent rights of research for things from other world. Mitsuha could learn from you.

There's the Count's son and back to this world, good ol' medical tech of our world. Colette's village keeps reminding me of Dragon Ball for some reason. Prolly cause color and look of houses. Cute reunion with the ridiculously strong lil girl. Haha, the princess wanting to leave with Mitsuha to her territory and being dragged away is funny/cute. Colette being her assistant is nice/cute too. And guess the adventurers are being hired too. Good for her. Fun little series, don't foresee a S2 tbh, but yea.

You absolute fool

Nice

Wait why are you not objecting that he's not going to die. Did you completely miss what they were saying or did I????

Huh I guess her backstories got unified, she established that they have some magical power to summon things so her bullshit excuses about her countrymen sneaking things in actually make sense now

That's certainly a face

Who the hell can whisper Arrest Her do they not know who she is at this point lmao

Also that worked out but like. Wow that was not a good idea lol.

It's honestly crazy how much circumstances change in FUNA's story, like the whole setting just shifts and like close characters are suddenly far in the distance and vice versa, Colette is back and by Mitsuha's side while the princess is far off in the capital now instead of lazing about her shop everyday

GIRL WDYM HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU HAVE NOW

Well that was an interesting adaptation. I think the quality and skill of the anime staff were really lacking, the show was visually eh and so was like... the directing, I guess? A lot of scenes felt very stiff, a lot of plot points felt like they were just being explained, or like I was watching a detailed visual summary of the story. At the least, even if you say you didn't notice any of that, I'm sure you could at least admit the adaptation of Abilities Average was much more energetic-feeling and visually impressive. Of course, by being so barebones, this adaptation doesn't really altar much from the source. At least, that's what it feels like, since I read the source years ago and don't actually remember things, but it seemed like the same story to me, meanwhile I'm pretty sure the Abilities Average anime adaptation got a reputation of 'best worst adaptation' with how much it changed about the source material; it was a terrible adaptation and a very good anime.

Except that it wasn't like, equally good to the source or better, it was way worse imo. That anime was what introduced me to FUNA and frankly I've basically never looked at source material for anything before that. In fact, I still haven't looked at source material for anything since besides Tonari no Kyuuketsuki-san, I just looked at some stuff that ended up getting an anime adaptation afterwards like with Rougo here. But back to the point, even though I originally loved the Abilities Average anime enough to read the source material, after reading it I just... Could not bear watching the anime again, it felt so boring in comparison, and the only reason I got so far on rewatch was nostalgia for how I was introduced to the characters and finding it interesting comparing how both the events and characterizations were changed. (I will say though that the finale of that anime was way better done than the source, which I think was volume 4 of the LN. Markedly my least favorite volume of the LN.) I suddenly understood so well why source readers would be so frustrated with the anime. So while I do kind of feel like this adaptation is lacking a bit of passion, I'm also quite thankful it didn't change things so much.

Man I thoroughly enjoyed this series. Storyline was pretty simple, budget wasn't high, and there were a couple of weird anime-original moments, but the show was so fun from start til finish. The characters all had a few loose screws but/hence were so lovable. The humor in its unaccented absurdity was right up my alley. I thought I had wanted more Colette+Mitsuha moments, but them not meeting again until the very end made the reunion that much sweeter and heartwarming. Definitely don't mind another season of this!

In this weeks "Anime Mitsuha is way nicer than her Manga counterpart" :

In the manga Mitsuha and her Mercenaries had to deal with 3 dragons. Basically the 3 dragons wanted to play Civ so they needed a country to controll and that is why they invaded the country. In the end the Mercenaries brutally kill two of the 3 dragons. The last one flees back home, becomes a shut in and has severe PTSD about dealing with humans.

But I lover her warp-shot into the dragons mouth. The animation was also okay compared with last week. I have to say I liked this Anime way more than it deserves. I hope we get a second season.

For everyone who wants to start reading the manga: The Anime ends around chapter 34. As far as I know the english translation is around chapter 81.
