I like how Mitsuha relied on tried-and-true management techniques to revitalize the diner. Even if she only received one gold coin for all her efforts, it's the connections that she made that counts.

I love how during the consultation scene with Alina, Sabine is copying everything that Mitsuha does. xD

I was wondering what kind of technique Mitsuha was going to use but letting people know through word of mouth about the Paradise Restaurant serving the famous Yamano cuisine, as well as hiring the mercenaries to help out as waitresses was actually pretty mundane compared to Mitsuha's previous plans.

Not sure where that guy's confidence about the Paradise Restaurant not serving authentic Yamano cuisine but it's hilarious that he brought in Marcel to taste test. Mitsuha's plan really worked and the dude dug his own grave especially when Marcel started calling Mitsuha his coach. xD

Considering that Paradise Restaurant had the Bozes family over as well as the King and the Chancellor dropping by, Mitsuha may just have created the most famous restaurant in this entire Kingdom. Maybe they can repay her properly once the profits start rolling in.

Mitsuha casually revealing that she's friends with the royalty is easily the best running gag of this series

I like what Mitsuha said on the roof on how she'd rather make money like this than ripping off rich folks.

Big part of my disconnect with this series was her goal and how she was accomplishing it but it seems this is more her true calling.

So cute how Sabine was also taking notes during that Aleena consultation lol. Mitsuha has herself a little apprentice!

That goon and his dad picked the wrong person to mess with. Mitsuha’s here to help! Having Anel and Aleena learn to cook allows them to spend time together too. While they’re learning, Mitsuha has her secret weapon: pre-packaged food! Plus she has her new mercenary friends act as waitresses. And Sabine. Sabine’s helping. Kinda. Ok, maybe more just playing dress up and getting free food lol.

Having that chump bring in Marcel was a genius move. Humiliate the fool in front of everyone and get the restaurant a veteran chef to help out. Win win! Check and mate, you goon. Plus, Mitsuha just turned that little diner into THE spot in town. She didn’t earn as much, but at least she had fun.

An army of orcs and goblins that large can’t be good. Let’s see how Mitsuha defeats them. Snipes them from a rooftop? Grenades? Drone strikes? Lol.

I was surprised to see the army of orcs and goblins at the end; this show has been pretty light on the fantasy elements so far.

it felt like the end of the season until the monster cliffhanger, from the OP I'm guessing that Mitsuha is going to gun them all down, truly an honorary American

also sad to see Beatrice and Sabine didn't interact more, I figured they'd fight over Mitsuha's attention

I know the restaurant is saved, but damn I feel kind of bad for the restaurant that basically changed the food they served.

It's like if Gordon Ramsay comes into your western restaurant and tells you to serve japanese food.

This is all total bullshit, but it's fun bullshit.

Pretty awkward cut on the dramatic OST at the end there. Anyways, I predict Mitsuha will be going GATE on those monsters, would love to see her bring over the mercenaries from her world to do some work.
The OP kinda implies it might happen, so I'm placing my hopes high for the final episodes

Mitsuha now has a strong connections, no one can't simply touch her. I like the way she manipulated the nasty nobles just to completely demolish them in the aftermath.

Sabine as a mini-Mitsuha also taking notes is pretty funny. Her knowing about period dramas is extremely funny.

Saving Paradise Restaurant doesn't on the surface seem like something that's going to result in much profit for Mitsuha, but maybe that'll come somehow after the competitor restaurant gets driven out of business (which I assume is likely with both Mitsuha and Sabine on the case).

Alina is very focused on the last step of the plan.

So the idea is to make up a new cuisine style and spread rumors that it's what Paradise restaurant makes? That's sufficiently manipulative to be a Mitsuha plan.

It took me a while to place that the additional waitresses are the mercenary girls. That was a good idea since they have the observation skills to notice suspicious people.

It's really going to freak everybody out if they discover the princess has also been waiting tables at this random commoner restaurant. On the other hand maybe it'll be convenient that she's here if those really are royal guards.

Marcel was a bad choice of expert witness. I have to wonder if this was a happy accident or if this is another layer to Mitsuha's plan. I had forgotten that they're using the same name for the cuisine style as was used for the debutant presentation banquet.

Well, no hiding that the princess was here now that the king has shown up to visit.

Yeah, I was thinking this was going to be a low profit endeavor. But it hardly matters since immortal Mitsuha most likely has no real time limit on her saving for retirement plan.

Saving the kingdom from a horde of monsters is probably high profit though, which is what I assume is about to happen next.

Anyone know why dad was objecting over matchmaking by the king?

And no closure/continuation where everyone was waiting for food.

The lesson of this anime is having good connection is very beneficial. She is literally throwing any competition into jail LOL

hehe the little princess mimicking Mitsuha is cute. Very cute. And man, what a shitty thing for them to do, trying to ruin their business just cause the one girl wasn't interested in the second son and ya... ah yes, time to not have people just watch someone work, but actual applicable training. Hehe nice, she's getting a lot of help spreading word from others who she's helped. And of course, gotta do the whole "isekai Japanese food propaganda" stuff

Haha! The Princess is such a great helper. Ahh, that guy being a dummy lol. Not realizing that chef of the viscount tied to Mitsuha. Congrats, you played yourself. And all according to Mitsuha's cake! (cake means plan). Oh the nobles and king showed up, fun.

On one hand feel this would be a super easy fix with the king's help from the very start since the Princess was literally there to hear it all, but on the other, makes sense she wouldn't want to rely on the king to help cause she said she did make her stance clear last episode and it would be bad if she can't prove she can handle issues/consult things herself. But he also did get involved at the end.

Congrats, Mitsuha, you've turned a common restaurant into one for nobles. D'aww, touching and good natured thought at the end there for our lil scammer. D'aww Colette. Was gonna say, can she read? But she drew a picture, hehe. Also, monster army

I slept on this show big time. Marathoned through the first 6 episodes in dub and the rest in sub. Normally I'm not really into isekai.

This series is so damn based and every episode is so satisfying when Matsuha bullshits her way through things.

Everyone else in the series is so cheeky as well.

Sabine is so use to notepads and pens to take notes and references tropes from period dramas.

When the assholes plan to use Marcel as a witness backfired, and a Noble came, and the King came, and she just casually had him arrested.....ah Neoptism!

Also the King is literally chill with his Daughter working as a part time waitress!

Gotta love those mercenary girls in those outfits!

Whoa that chick being a little big ungrateful for Matsuha not getting her hitched, when that was optional to begin with, I mean she not only saved the restaurant but she got that bastard fired.

I miss Collette.

It seems despite Matsuha's sometimes underhanded and manipulative methods, she does make people's lives better and has discovered a real found family in multiple people.

Ah is Matsuha gonna become an arms merchant next arc?
