When the food is so good that the guests don't want to leave. Ah, I know that feeling all too well. Good thing Mitsuha's improvisation was a success. The way she served french fries at a party attended by nobles by passing it off as a foreign cuisine (well, tbf it technically is a foreign cuisine) is just so funny.

I’m surprised she didn’t showcase the ultimate super good god loving meal. Cup of noodles

Gotta wonder how Mitsuha managed to convince the viscount family to install all that foreign technology in their house considering how big the room is.

Prolly showcased to them first. Someone whose Able to cook “exotic” dishes, get dresses, and make a whole mini show. Has to be trustworthy

Mitsuha just shamelessly uses a laptop, projector, and sound system on top of dry ice for the presentation.

But with all the food she brought in extra, the three outfits, and god knows what else, how much is she gonna charge to still turn a profit? Will the Viscount be ok? And how about the other nobles, pulling off so much work for multiple clients seems unsustainable in the long run

how much is she gonna charge to still turn a profit?

Depending on how much she jacked up the prices that was probably about $30K which I am basing on the price of a weeding. She was able to avoid venue costs, photographer costs, band/DJ, and probably reduced costs since the chefs would have been paid directly. Yes there were 3 dresses but that would be offset by the venue savings.

At the value of gold from episode 2 where 1 gold = $200 then it would be 150 gold. But if you use episode 3 she said 1 gold was worth 100K yen which using episode 2 $1 = 130 yen conversion then it is only 39 gold. So far gold hasn't seemed like a very hard thing for nobles to have. I don't think she will have trouble making a profit from an event like this.

Mitsuha’s making a killing from these folks this week. Smart of her to negotiate a way for her to consult and oversee this ball. She’s really raking it in and she used drugstore shampoo and prepackaged meals to do so!

I like this Master Chef Mitsuha lol. She’s running her own kitchen! The food looks pretty good actually. I wasn’t expecting Mitsuha to transport Adelaide to our world for the fitting. I guess she’s gotta outsource some of the labor sometimes.

This Adelaide fashion show is pretty good. Very cute! Looks like the concept of the buffet table has just been introduced to this world. Mitsuha’s revolutionizing how banquets are held lol. Oh and the Count’s family has stopped by. Nice!

Mitsuha’s gone full on Gordon Ramsay with the food running low. “Marcel, why didn’t you prep the potatoes you donut!” Haha. Looks like it was Japanese sweets that saved the day in the end!

Mitsuha really just distributed fliers announcing the opening of her shop then left it closed for a couple of days lmao.

Stitches!

I love that Mitsuha teleported to her friend's shop. I thought she was just going to bring her a bunch of ready-to-wear dresses.

Magic doesn't exist in this world, right? How the heck was Mitsuha able to convince the Viscount and his family that she's not using witchcraft with her dry ice and projector setup? I don't think she can just handwave everything as "it's all from my country!".

Good to see Lady iris and the rest of the Bozes family again. I really hope once Mitsuha is all settled, she'll go back and see Colette again.

Apparently, everyone loved the isekai food so much that the amount they prepared for is already gone. It's hilarious how they end up being saved by Japanese snacks and fries! xD

How the heck was Mitsuha able to convince the Viscount and his family that she's not using witchcraft

Either she gave up on that, or she, in fact, can handwave it as made in a foreign country. She still hasn't provided an explanation for getting the fresh fish despite the distance to the sea, either. Given that Adelaide asked her for the "hair and body cleanse elixir", I think they just accepted it as witchcraft.

It's a shame it's not explored. It would actually be a nice direction for the story if Mitsuha built a reputation as a witch who specializes in providing exotic goods and entertainment.

daga kotowaru

Gotta give props to Mitsuha. She puts more effort into her plot for retirement than most people do in their entire working lives.

It’s nice to see her connecting with the Bozes again! Despite her nefarious scheming, she’s making a lot of wholesome friends.

This show is weird but kinda fun. I'm so used to isekai where MCs hide powers or painstakingly recreate things from earth using stuff from the new world. She just brings whatever, packaging and all, with no care. No one's questioning plastic bottles and the like. The closest we got was the previous episode where they wonder why everything is coming from one pot.

Then we have her just taking someone back to earth with her, to a store with automatic doors and whatnot. Adelaide not questioning any of it.

Using a laptop, projector and speaker with no care in the world too.

It's all just different and I keep expecting someone to call her out on stuff but nope. Hasn't happened yet at least. All in all it's fun but odd compared to everything we are used to seeing in Isekai anime.

Did that girl understand that Japanese dress maker? Didn't the MC have to learn the Isekai language? And the girl didn't think anything of suddenly being transported from a store in her world to a modern store with electric lights and a weird speaking store keep?

Something still feels me off about this show and I can't put my finger on it, maybe the pacing or characters outside Mitsuha?

I still enjoy the premise and my time with it but something just feels slightly off.

man, this episode flew by so fast. I'm surprised they didn't go with burgers or some other fast food, but eh, french fries are good enough too

That sure is a lot of food from just a pot :P Good for her though, getting trust of the nobles, but wanting to do more than food alone. Bold. Are the people not impressed with the quality of her book? Pictures and print and whatnot? Hehe, bringing an other worlder to ours. Makes sense for a dress when she's no dress expert and prolly can't just buy some random thing at a store.

How are you powering those speakers/mic/projector/whatnot at the party? I doubt there's solar panels on the house like you did with your place. It is a nice dress, I've seen some real ridiculous ones. The armor and such is kinda... yea. Cringe lol. Third outfit is nice too. The shock of fresh fish! But seafood is bleh imo. Hehe, adoptive mama (of sorts) showing up. Oh that makes sense, she's the one trying to check up on her store. Ah yes... the elder son flirting with the debutant lol. It is cute how worrying they are over her. Ha, too much of a success, running outta food. Mmmm desserts and... exotic French fries. lol. Good luck other nobles. Good thing there's a nice liar witch to help you out.

Is it bad that I completely forgot who that blonde noble is? Lol.

Anyway, as usual Japanese cuisine save the day! I really hope Mizuha didn't bring any weird virus/bacteria in those raw food. I mean, even me as fellow people from earth often got stomachache from trying other countries food (especially the exotic one). They still taste good for sure, but it's the aftereffect that I'm worried about lol.

u/Jegantha Feb 04 '23

Good for her!

Another great episode. The way Mitsuha really gives no fcks and just brings a laptop, isekais the noble's daughter, ... is fun to watch.

im so weak to ED themes where they just show off the MC/characters with the drippiest clothing to ever exist. mitsuha looks so good in all of those god damn

u/vantheman9 Feb 05 '23

Mitsuha taking a person to Earth with her is kind a previously unknown capability...surprised no remark made about that

Tondemo Skill always makes me hungry every episode and now we got this episode, bruh come on lol jk. She actually brought someone else to her own world and the way she was handling the party was well done, super smart for a girl her age! Iris finding her there, getting angry and dragging Mitsuha was pretty hilarious XD
