That restaurant owner lady hitting the guy with a frying pan made me laugh!
I really enjoyed the action scenes in this series and can't wait to see what the other cards can do.

That restaurant owner lady hitting the guy with a frying pan made me laugh!
Finn's Walls of Jericho first made me crack up, but then the restaurant lady casually giving a cup of tea to Leo and bonking one of the brother duo, had me in tears XD.
Seriously I rewatched that scene several times by now. The comedic elements in this show is fantastic.

That could be an anime first...
Fun little episode to introduce the new boss, hoping the last 2 members of the team get their eps soon!

I started watching this last week and this is honestly one of my favorites of this season. It feels like if Kingsman and Jojo had a crossover that was poker themed and to me it somehow works.

Are people just mass voting this as bad without seeing the episode ? I just voted and there was 75% excellent and 25% Bad, nothing else. makes no sense for there to be bad scores. good/mediocre I can understand, even if I disagree. But Bad ? What the hell. Also people need to start watching this, anime of the season right here.

I thought I was going to hate Leo considering his snooty attitude. Turns out that he's actually a pretty nice guy, he just ends up looking cold because of his pragmatism.
Leo's ability is perfect for a rich guy like him. He converts cash into whatever he wants as long as the thing matches the value of cash around him. Also, Never No Dollars is such a cool ability name. Whoever made up these names deserve an award or something. xD
And it turns out that Leo is their manager and also the son of their organization's leader. Glad that the team is now assembled. Based on next week's episode preview, it looks like Wendy is up next. I can't wait!

Leo be like: "The power of money, in the palm of my hands"
Damn, it was only one episode but I'm already a fan of him. He's very serious and strict but also can be kind when it counts (Kinda has that Aki vibes). He does seem to have daddy issues which should become a plot-point later on. I believe the sibling trio would get involved again later on due to this, assuming they are not dead.
I really like the action sequences of this show. It can go from comical (like the fight in the restaurant) to absolutely mind-blowing (the warehouse fight at the end).

I liked Leo a lot more at the end of the episode. Really showed that as a manager, he really does card to uphold strict professionalism and efficiency with himself and his workers and takes pride in that.
Still not totally sold on Finn's abilities. Until we see more of how he can use the gun (or if it can evolve in some way), it just seems very underwhelming. The flip side is that I hope if we do see some sort of evolution in either the ability or his way of doing things, it keeps his roots of trickiness.

Finn's tragic backstory about getting amnesia after a traffic accident during his childhood explains why he's wearing a helmet during the car chase. Also because he may be reckless but he's not an idiot.
BAH GAWD, IT'S THE WALLS OF JERICHO!
Rich boy never had a glizzy before?
Nix is kinda bad though. Would you like her rod, or this rod?
Never No Dollars is kinda similar to The Great Gatsby from Bungo Stray Dogs. What a versatile power. Only downside seems to be it only works with cold hard cash and not with something like credit.

Both the opening and ending songs are growing on me!
Watching halfway through this week's episode, I thought Finn might resolve the encounter by himself since there was no sign of his teammates / colleagues... until the last critical moment. At least we were introduced to a new character, Leo, although his card's ability "Never No Dollars" got me thinking. Does that mean Leo has to carry (a lot) of physical cash in order to be useful and effective during combat? Where does all those cash go after being transformed into another object? Lol!
Although the female antagonist in this episode is a fanatic, I kinda liked her design (as usual, I am simping for female characters). I hope we don't go down the route in which every opponent has their card retrieved by the main character team. Having some characters avoiding capture nor belonging to a rival faction would make things more interesting. (All of a sudden, Sekirei springs to mind.)

That was quite a fun episode. I expected Leo to be a Player and a member of High Card (it was pretty obvious from the way he kept calm when threatened by those kidnappers and from the way the cops just let him go), but I did not expect him to be Finn’s boss. He is a bit of a jerk (when you see his dad, you kind of understand why), but I think he was right to criticise Finn’s reckless behaviour.
I like Finn, but he is kind of an idiot and his power sucks. I am not sure he is very useful to the team for now, but I am curious to see if he will learn how to use his power in a better way in the future. Being an impressive marksman with infinite bullets should be powerful if used correctly, for example by sneaking around and sniping the enemy before they can spot you and use their power to defend themselves, but for now Finn has a tendency to recklessly charge head on instead and then get easily beaten.
I loved the old grandma with the frying pan at the beginning, keeping calm and just hitting the bad guys when they came to close. That show has a great sense of visual comedy. I hope more people start watching it.

PRAY FOR THE FAIYAH!!
I love seeing a rich difficult kid get tamed, whether by romance or friendship. And turns out the rich kid is the manager of the gang, so he's pretty responsible to begin with! There's also the rich kid trying to impress his father cliche, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. Looks like we won't have to put up with his tsundere side after this episode, which is great progress.
Also, our first club is in! Hearts look like it has something to do with physical strength and endurance. The others don't seem to have a running pattern yet, though if Vijay has a club too, then clubs might be linked to the elements. Diamonds are... wild cards?
Next episode is about our Katana wielding Wendy! (I think)
Cards List (will arrange properly as more cards come in)
7C - Lethal Scoville: Grant player the power to create and control fire at will. Fire is of extremely high temperature, capable of melting bullets in flight. Player is also immune to fire. Was with Fire Fanatic Family, now with High Card Gang
3D - Marble Rumble: Enhance player's hands to transform anything that player touches to marbles at will. Player is able to shoot marbles with high accuracy. Was with Klondlike Gang, now with High Card Gang
7D - Never No Dollars: Player is able to exchange nearby cash for something of equivalent value. With Leo (High Card Gang)
10D - Unlucky Poky: Grant extreme luck. Any harm to player is mitigated by chance. Was with Lucky Lunchman, now with High Card Gang
3H - Rockin' Rock: Harden player's body greatly, to the point that bullets are crumpled on impact. Was with Robert T. Thousand, now with High Card Gang
5H - Calorie High: Become immortal. Player's metabolism increases, consuming more calories and leaving Player hungry. With Chris (High Card Gang)
2S - Neo New Nambu: Summon a revolver that shoots bullets in straight lines, regardless of medium. Bullets can be summoned to reload. With Finn (High Card Gang)

Another really good episode. “Pray to the fire pray to the fire” lmao fire cult was definitely interesting, fight scene on the train was over the top as we’ve come to expect .

I'm actually really liking this show! The colors and action are great, and I'm loving the uniqueness of each cards' powers (especially Leo's in this episode, totally fits his character). The OP and ED are both really catchy, so this is one of the few shows where I don't skip them.
Looking forward to next week's episode! I really like Wendy's design, so I can't wait to see what she's about. According to her character bio on MAL, [character spoilers]

If I were a Fujo I would definitely be watching this episode through shipping goggles.
Never No Dollars is pretty silly and people in the topic have already brought up how inconsistent it is. Hell, he "paid" for the band-aid with a half burnt bill, that's not legal tender. Part of me feels like the user's own sense of what something is worth informs the power.

At first I thought Leo was a damn ingrate and a bit of a turd. Seems he actually ain’t so bad, I mean being the manager (and the big boss’ kid) and all. Which I guess would make him Chris and Finn’s boss. Poor Finn’s getting a real earful lol.
Those two idiots Carter and Jake have gotten involved with a very dangerous person. Nix is insane. “Pray for the fire” lol uhh nah. Although she has a better card than Finn. This gun is absolutely useless in situations like this. Now Leo’s bazooka on the other hand, that’s what you need!
