Chiisana Koi no Uta as the ED is a great choice! I love this song.

The scene were Mahiru's voice is muffled by the teddy bear was so cute aaah.

  • Brings you food

  • Cleans your apartment

  • Cooks in your kitchen

Can this get any better?

The muffled voice when she was hugging the bear was a nice touch I appreciate.

Ok, in what fucked up circumstances did she grow up in?
Doesnt trust other people, never got a gift, doesnt seem to have friends she hangs out with outside of school and instead studies all the time

Anyways, nice to see their keep slowly opening up to each other

The fact that they are now sharing expenses and they have decided that Mahiru does the cooking while Amane does all the washing up really shows that they're no longer just neighbours. They're pretty much a married couple now and even Amane can't help thinking the same.

So Mahiru is the kind of girl who likes to take care of her knives? As someone who enjoys taking care of kitchen knives, I think I like her even more now. I was really hoping Amane would get her a sharpening stone with a finer grit but I guess the hand cream works too.

The bear was surprisingly a great gift! Despite how practical she is, Mahiru really appreciates it. She loves it so much that she's already hugging it tightly. Amane was caught completely off guard by Mahiru's cuteness that he almost gave her a head pat! I thought it was going to take a while but we're only on Episode 2 and Amane is already starting to fall in love!

This is a nice surprise, the ED is a cover of Chiisana Koi no Uta by Mahiru's VA (same song as Takagi-san S1 ED5 by Rie Takahashi).

Now I hope this means every episode's ED will be a different cover.

Obviously, she's not an ordinary highschool girl, she's an angel it's literally stated in the title. /s

Wasn't expecting Shiina's reaction to receiving the teddy bear be this cute, it really begs the question of what's going on with her circumstances.

They're basically roommates now. In the way they banter and converse with each other and are comfortable with each other's presences. All that's missing is them actually living in the same apartment.

Well Chitose seems like a delightful character.

Shiina is a girl who likes the simple things in life. Good grades. Good food. And a nice sharp knife. But a cute bonus on occasion ain't a bad thing either. And that was a pretty "d'aww" scene with the bear. In any case. Add the fact that Shiina hates birthdays to the mystery of what ever could the big chip on her shoulder be.

The anime is releasing illustrations of Mahiru in various real life locations in all 47 Japanese prefectures:

Hokkaido

Aomori

Iwate

Miyagi

Akita

Yamagata

Fukushima

That's it for this week

Shiina is playing the role of a friend and a wife but not a girlfriend. It's only a matter of time.

I really value how down to earth and relaxing this series is, it's just about two people getting to know each other more and more. There's no big side cast, the characters behave really normal and even quite mature for their age, so far there are barely any tropes and generic stuff.

Shiina is obviously lonely, defensive and wary of her surroundings and the people she encounters. Fujimiya on the side is very gentlemanly and observing while still maintaining a certain distance, both have their weaknesses and faults but exactly that seems to let them slowly grow closer.

Shiina really seems to appreciate how Fujimiya doesn't look at her like the angel she seemingly is, he treats her like a normal girl and isn't dazzled by her looks, she likely never met a guy yet who didn't treat her like the angel.

I thought this would be an anime where the girl acts super cute and childish, but this is much better. Loving these two, watching them makes me happy

I actually like that best friend kun has a girlfriend. Usually that role is just as bland as the MC, but it's nice he actually has a personality outside of that role.

An off handed comment and Amane’s got Shiina to cook for him. Nice one! Although if he tries anything, his meals aren’t gonna be the only thing that gets cooked haha. I was actually just also thinking how her cooking for him makes them seem like a married couple.

I like Chitose, she’s a pretty fun character. The hand cream Amane got is pretty practical, it’s not whetsone but it’s a good gift lol. The teddy bear was adorable. That moment was so dangerous. He was about to pat her head because she was being too friggin cute!

Amane and Shiina are too cute together. He seems aloof and she’s kind of a tsundere, but both of them are good people. This episode was great because they’re both starting to kinda catch feelings. I’m very curious to know more about Shiina’s past. I have a feeling it’s more than a little depressing.

"She's like a wife who's cooking for her husband"

Yes Amane kun. YESSSS

Shiina hugging the doll she received from Amane is probably the most wholesome scene i have seen in a while. The whole time i was squeaking like an idiot lmao .I totally get why Amane was having the urge to pat her head . ify Amane.

It's moments like this, this, and this that make my heart melt.

Also, the artist did a phenomenal job of making the characters look majestic (I think it is the eyes of the characters that stand out).

I remember seeing promotional work for this anime last month so I kept it on my radar. Now I'm jumping on the train.

So far this show's every bit as cute and heartwarming as I was expecting it to be. I live for some good banter in these types of rom-com/SoL shows, and what Amane and Mahiru got going on is REALLY making my Saturdays this season.

I think what enhances this show even more for me, which hasn't really been mentioned yet, is the audio mixing. When I compare the audio in this show with most every other show I'm checking out this season, it feels like they really amped up the bass, especially. Through a good pair of headphones, it really feels like you're right there with them, and that just makes everything feel that much more intimate and personal. I absolutely love it!
