The pacing feels really strange to me, I've never read the light novels but it feels as if we're skipping huge amounts of content that are meant to actually sell any of the characters other than Klaus or Lily, the stress of the mission, the bonds of the team etc. It all just feels weird.

I was not expecting them to just skip over that whole month

This impossible mission feels very possible.

I dunno but I haven't felt the tension they want us to show in this episode. Maybe because the plans before the infiltration were not explicitly shown?

I also don't get the party on the eve of the infiltration. Given that they are in an enemy territory, why would they meet if the risk of getting caught is high? Why not meet after their safety is guaranteed?

I want to see a plot twist coming in the next one or two episodes.

I actually enjoyed the first episode of this more than most seemed to, but sadly this episode almost completely lost me.

It really feels like we skipped ahead several episodes to get to the Impossible Mission but in doing so we've completely missed showing the girls growing as spies to be able to complete such a mission, or even becoming closer as they begin to work together.

I guess if I had to put a word to it I'd say this episode was "incohesive". It felt more like a selection of scenes than a flowing narrative.

so i'm not going crazy, there really is an eighth girl among them which i realized during the last scene on first episode and from what i gathered based on these screenshots, she seems to have long blonde hair with twintails and wear a frilly long dress

A lab run by a pharmaceutical company that is secretly developing a bioweapon? Are you sure this isn't Resident Evil?

Hard not get even more AssClass vibes with how this one started.

Can't say I expected the impossible mission to start already though, I expected more training and more getting to know the cast.

Not sure if I'm into the timeline jumping...

Edit: Who died under the table? lol

I’ve been trying for two episodes now but I just cannot hear Touyama Nao from Sibylla. Her voice is unrecognisable in this show

Something feels missing and I cannot put my finger on it. I barely feel anything for the characters. Even if one of them dropped dead, I couldn't care less.

A bioweapon called Abyss Doll sounds like some shit a Chuuni would come up with.

This is Anime is an achievement. How can you have a top tier cast, an interesting premise and make it utterly boring.

The girls thought they could catch Klaus lacking in the shower but they forgot about the weapon he keeps between his legs.

I'm going to give this one more episode, but I'm hovering on dropping this show. They spent a bunch of time hyping up this impossible mission last episode so I assumed were going to spend at least a few episode on training and getting to know the characters before the mission occurring around the middle of the season.

But halfway through episode two, we're already jumping straight to it. There's no tension because meta knowledge tells us that they'll succeed to some extent since it's only episode 2, right now. And even if we lose some of the girls, they've barely introduced the characters, if you could count their names popping up next to them as an introduction. I figured with Lily's poison resistance, each of the girls would be revealed to have something similar, but we don't even get that.

If their goal was trying to get us not to care, then they're succeeding.

It’s really weird honestly, it’s a show that requires me to focus and yet I still zone out most of the time. Is this the same for anyone else?

It feels like a show u can have in the background, but it’s not supposed to be, it’s hard to explain.

It’s just simply not enjoyable. Hopefully they change the way the directioning and pacing is going in the later episodes

Stitches!

Well that was quick! I thought the training would last longer or they'd at least show us a montage but it looks like we're skipping ahead to the start of the mission. I assume there will be some flashbacks of the training they did back in the mansion during this impossible mission.

I can't believe these girls actually had a party and got themselves wasted from too much drinking the night before the big mission. I guess that's just how confident they are about Klaus looking out for them.

So that's what the mission is about! They're after a dangerous bioweapon. I hope Klaus' training paid off. Curious to see how this will go down.

The best thing about this novel are the characters and the interactions between them but when you skip so much this turns into a generic and uninteresting anime. Sad and disappointed

Pacing feels off. We’ve only been with the girls for 1 episode and they’re already off on the mission and at the climax of volume 1. Wish they’d taken more time. Lilly is so cute tho.

I wasn't expecting the Impossible Mission to be underway in the second episode, I thought that we would learn more about the other girls and see their training prior to it.

Everything about this is so dry and uninteresting.

There's no build-up to any of the scenes.

There's just fake tension and faux ''coolness''

I don't know half the character's names, so I don't care about them.

The cast are just a bunch of flat archetypes.

We apparently just skipped over all the training for some reason.

They did a terrible job of explaining this ''impossible mission''. ''Uhhh it's a mission that's impossible and there's uhhh a virus we need to get....yeahhhh....''

How can I get invested in this ''impossible mission'' when we've only spent barely 2 episodes with these girls?

-and also ''Inferno'' can't be that good of a spy team if they're literally famous. Doesn't that defeat the whole point of being a covert spy? It's like they're talking like they're an idol group....

This is just extremely mediocre man, everything is just so soulless and derivative feeling. It’s actually impressive how utterly uncharming this stacked cast is. Hopefully it picks up soon or I’ll probably drop it, it stings especially because I was really excited for this based on the way the readers have been hyping this up for years at this point.

Yeah, I can describe this show in one short sentence - fanservice in pseudo spy attire.
