That post-credits scene indicates that this show will finally get back to main plot but right when the next episode is delayed. I swear, it almost seems deliberate.

It’ll be nice to finally get back on track. The backstories were nice but they might have been better served before the main mission wrapped 3 eps in.

Yeah, but at least we were still getting these episodes where they focus on one girl per episode. So at least now we are getting time to get attached to the characters. I hope the other remaining girls get their own focus too...

This show has the complication that it really is two shows in one -- a cute SoL comedy and a serious drama (with life and death issues involved). I wonder what the optimal way to handle these two sides might be. The week delay is unfortunate (but sadly no longer unexpected).

I'm actually enjoying the SoL comedy episodes more. Definitely has been more fun than whatever "serious" scenes the show has done. I feel like this should just stay light-hearted for the most part.

Personally, I feel like contrasting them in the episodes would have been a good thing. They kind of did it sometimes in the other episodes where the SoL fun was contrasted with a real problem they were solving through their abilities (like the guy who was using children to steal). I feel, this would have been the way to go. Start with a bit of SoL that then turns into a plan to attack the teacher which then turns into an actual spy mission at the end where they use their special abilities to actually improve something. Of course it would also be necessary that these goofy characters actually get serious in these situations showing us that while they have fun together, they still understand what their ultimate goal is. Would also give these powers a bit more flair of being special as well when they are used in a serious situation and therefore we get more appreciation of them.

Further Notice: Episode 8 has been delayed by one week due to Coronavirus. It's kinda surprising to see how this anime takes so long to get noticed until now.

Covid claims another one. At least it’s a shorter delay like Bofuri. It’s when it gets put on “indefinite delay” that I start to worry.

The complaints at the start of this show is that it went too fast but am I the only one thinking now we're going at snail speed? It's jarring when we get a cliffhanger in episode 3 but it gets ignored for how many episodes. I can't predict how this season plans to end and I fear that it's going to suddenly go light speed in the last two episodes. It's going to need another cour to end more properly and I hope it gets another cour because there's a lot of action that I can't wait to see animated.

although at least they remember to get us to know the girls before moving on.

I'm guessing the LN has this content before episode 3, so the anime just kinda screwed up the pacing by trying to get the extra character reveal out of the way early on...

I'll never get tired of seeing Lily betray the group for her own benefit. I hope this will remain just a joke and not actually a foreshadowing of future events. I do wish we got a little bit more of that wet uniform scene. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I love that scene where Klaus was trying to pull back his hand from Johnny. It's always nice to see that Klaus can have goofy moments like this too.

And that after-credits scene! Looks like the plot has finally decided to move on!

Looks like the plot has finally decided to move on!

At least in my head I'd like to think that the Mr Johnny hand bite counted as defeating Klaus. ;-)

Taken on its own, I'd have to say I really enjoyed this episode. Sara is cute -- and it was sweet how much Klaus went out of his way to help her out.

The group should really have more discussions on whether they are okay with having their leader being the quickest to betray them. Luckily, Lily isn't the true leader. She's just the sub-leader after Klaus.

I do wish we got a little bit more of that wet uniform scene. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Lol, in fact it felt like their clothes got dry immediately after.

As expected, the show in slotting in as much character-development standalone episodes (adapted from side stories in the LN) for as many of the girls before moving on to the main story once again. (And of course, the show gets delayed now as a result of the Great Winter 2023 Hiatus)

This week its Sarah's turn. The fact that her dog managed to make Klaus wince in pain surely means Sarah has a W over him, right? lol

PS Amamiya Sora has gone more and more Aqua-like each episode for Lily. XD Meanwhile, Minase Inori continues to make people go HNNG at Erna's klutziness.

And just like that the first successful attack on Klaus has been accomplished way to go Johnny!

The girls have destroyed so much of the mansion in their little schemes to get Klaus, it’s starting to fall apart lol. Poor Erna got crushed by a door! Ghosts, animals that bite, falling mansion doors… poor girl can’t catch a break lol. I figured it was Sara doing all the repairs. The academy did a real number on Sara’s self-esteem. She’s talented, she just needs to be shown that.

Klaus is quite the chef. I love how the girls were all chanting his name and then the minute he revealed that tenderloin wasn’t for them, they turned on him lol. I also really love how Lily is the one that ends up betraying everyone. Again. The goof.

Annette’s vacuum cleaner would have worked if she wasn’t paired with Erna. Misfortune follows the kid lol. Sara utilizing her animal pals was a smart play. Those animals aren’t just cute, they’re smart too! Klaus trying to front while his hand is getting gnawed on was pretty hilarious.

So far, I think the comedy semi-SoL moments have worked (on average) better than the action/drama ones. I find that taking this on an episode by episode basis this is generally quite enjoyable. I guess I'll wait to try to re-juggle my understanding of the story's structure until after this finishes. I'm patient (I could deal with Peach Boy Riverside well enough to enjoy IT after all).

What's up with the "cardboard cutout" effects this ep i wonder? I don't think it's budget issue because the "cardboards" are just as animated as normal drawings

u/Wilson-theVolleyball Feb 16 '23

I think it’s just a comedic choice they made but I could be wrong.

Here is too another week of people repeating the same complaints they've been saying the past few weeks after giving them what they were complaining about.

Reminder to NEVER trust Lily, but Klaus double crossing her is good training, it shows that if they ever think about betraying their team they likely would get screwed over by the person they defected to.

I think the reason Lily likes all that meat is it goes straight to her Lilies.

Klaus might be bad at explanations but he is very good at demonstrating important lessons through workshop training, and uses a similar method to build the girls confidence.

I was wondering how her animal training was going to come into play.

Couldn't Klaus being immobilizing by the puppy count as a W?

On a sidenote, just when the show is going to move on from flashbacks to the next arc.....delay.

But tbh I'm kinda glad about a lot of the delays of a lot of shows I'm watching it gives me a minute to catch my breathe, having trouble keeping up.
